excell12go: HOW DOES THE GOVERNMENT INTEND TO PULL THIS THROUGH? THE RATIO OF DOCTORS TO PATIENTS IN NIGERIA IS FAR BELOW WHO STANDARD AND ALL THE GOVT CAN DO IS SACK 16,000 DOCTORS. And besides, with the supposed suspension of residency training, are newly graduated doctors expected to resume work immediately without even a mere house man shipWhen the advert to replace them hit the market our doctors in diaspora will return home. Who knows many of them will still apply but will then sit up. |
Okeikpu: wasting our hard..money on one useless old f0ol, dat is supposed to be dead long time ego.. Jonathan am beginning to believe what ths loudmouths set of pple r saying.... imagine 30 heftymen for an mbecilo from the north..This is what ordinary people say, but men who know the things that matter in making a people one will give Abacha award any day for ever ruling Nigeria. |
Abatemtem: For God's sake! He's an ordinary citizen just like the rest of usSorry Buhari is not an ordinary citizen for christ sake. He is a first class citizen for cry out loud. Ones you become a president (ex or not) your a first class citizen. |

thewarrior72: No problem be that, just put him in one room with one patient after one week, if there's any improvement with his patient then he can go ahead & treat the restIs it how American doctors treat patients? |
PastorOluT: No u are wrong, God is not teaching man ow to be perfect like Him, bt rather He gave man His spirit so that he can live n enjoy the life of God.You think being perfect is all about struggling. When you come in contact with the kind of knowledge Jesus had you will live righteously without struggle. Do you know that Jesus said, "the works that I do shall you do even greater works". Righteousness is a work. God is teaching men to be perfect. If you study your bible well those whom the people termed perfect had a different walk with God than the rest that just walked with Him. |

All the people you mentioned, I doubt any started with economics. We are talking of first degree. Which company will employ a first degree holder of such courses. No sentiment, me wan learn. |
iyke926: Real men keep to their words.Has it made front page? |
On a serious note we need a lot of academic Councillors in this country. If things are the way they should be, many people will be thrown out of the jobs they are currently holding. |
hardbody: JAMB doesn't frustrate anyone's efforts. You are either well prepared or not. If you are, you write your exams with a fair chance of success, if you are not prepared, you look for a special centre to write the exam and thereafter, the post UME exams levels you up to what you already were (I do not mean you in person ooo). ![]() But even if everyone passes, there is a limit to which schools can take. One will have to wait for another year na. 1 year no be beans to stay at home studying for another jamb ![]() |
Medunah: Remove economics jorWhere would an economics graduate work if jobs were to be given based on certificate we have? |
A Nigerian cannot be hidden in a crowd beside the numerous opportunities that abound in the country. |
Idrismusty97: - Project ManagementWhen you have gone for civil engineering for five good years and jamb continue to frustrate your effort. Library science maybe the best option ![]() |
1. History 9.5 percent unemployment rate* They say those who don't learn history are bound to repeat it. But if you believe the Georgetown study, those who major in it could be bound for the unemployment line. Why These Grads May Have It Tough: Sorenson says that there is little opportunity for historians in today's job market. "Historians, appraisers, preservationists, etc. These are very niche markets with highly skilled and knowledgeable individuals who are called to the scene when needed for fact-checking or accuracy, not a long-term role with a growing company in today's economy," he says. 2. Fine Arts 10.1 percent unemployment rate If you have your heart set on a fine arts major, it might take a lot to change your mind. Still, you should be prepared for the harsh reality you might face post-graduation, since this major has a high unemployment rate, according to the Georgetown study. Why These Grads May Have It Tough: Sorenson says that despite being very self-fulfilling this degree may not be specific enough to attract employment. "For instance, if [students] want to work in design or be a creative director, they'll need a more specific skill set such as graphic design and creative writing to be a successful ‘artist,'" he says. And if you want to be an artist, skill and your work is most important, not a degree, explains Sorenson. 3. Economics 10.4 percent unemployment rate With all the airtime that news programs spend on the economy, you'd think this degree would be a sure thing. But you'd be wrong. Just take a look at that double digit unemployment rate found by the Georgetown study. Why These Grads May Have It Tough: "...The education you receive [in economics] is based mostly in theory, making your knowledge difficult to apply to the real world of employment," says David Bakke, a career expert at Money Crashers, a website devoted to career and personal finance advice. For example, he says finance majors may beat you out for jobs in the world of finance; accounting majors have specific skills for accountant positions; and so on. 4. Anthropology & Archeology 12.6 percent unemployment rate These are intellectual, fascinating, and noble degrees. Unfortunately, a diploma - not a career - might be the only treasure these majors yield after graduation judging from their high unemployment rate in the Georgetown study. Why These Grads May Have It Tough: There is not much demand for field work, and teaching the subjects in colleges and universities demands a higher degree than a bachelor's, says Bakke. As for the general job market? "These types of degrees are considered to be too grounded in academia for them to have any real value in the business world," he says. 5. Information Systems 14.7 percent unemployment rate We live in the Information Age, so you'd think that a major with the word "information" in it would mean a promising job outlook for its grads, right? Well, the Georgetown report found otherwise. This major had the highest unemployment rate out of all the college majors in the study. Why These Grads May Have It Tough: "The true nature of information systems is to improve the efficiency of a business, so once the system is put into place, your services may or may not be required on a long-term basis," says Tony Sorenson, CEO of the executive and staff recruiting firm Versique Search & Consulting. As a result, there is less demand for new and lesser-experienced information systems professionals, he explains. http://education.yahoo.net/articles/degrees_that_employers_hate.htm?kid=1O2H5 |
Holy hotplates! Instant ramen noodles, beloved cheap dinner of college kids and budget eaters everywhere, have been linked to heart attacks and diabetes. A study published in the Journal of Nutrition found that the ramen, along with other instant noodle products, may increase a person’s risk for cardiometabolic syndrome — a risk factor for severe cardiovascular disease and stroke — especially in women. “This research is significant since many people are consuming instant noodles without knowing possible health risks,” said lead researcher Hyun Joon Shin, MD, in a press release. Shin, a clinical cardiology fellow at Baylor University Medical Center and a nutrition epidemiology doctoral student at the Harvard School of Public Health, could not be reached for further comment. For the study, researchers looked at the data of 10,711 adults between the ages of 19 and 64, collected via the nationally representative Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey of 2007-2009. They found that eating instant noodles — ramen, lo mein, glass, Thai, or other — twice or more a week was associated with cardiometabolic syndrome, a collection of abnormalities affecting the body’s cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic systems. https://www.yahoo.com/health/why-ramen-noodles-could-cut-your-life-short-94747327572.html |
manny4life: On the contrary, this govt reduced independence on oil revenues to fund budgetary obligation. Though a large portion of oil revenue (about 56%) but that's a drastic decline from almost 77%.Not only budgetary but manufacturing/production of most of our consumable goods |
aresa: This is what you get with a non diversified and one product economy, common $10 spells doom and gloom. Nigeria is in the same one product economy league with the same possible economic doom..That is what this govt. has been doing since it took over but we don't seem to see because there is no beauty in the foundation of any super structure that will last the test of time. |
But why should our news houses aid them in destroying the country? |
A few minutes ago, I went to welcome back two of our clients whom we assisted in securing visa to china. Contrary to my expectation of them wanting to spend a few days in Lagos before traveling back to the East (Aba), they were bent on leaving Lagos for Aba immediately. On inquiry about the hast in returning home, I was told that news from CHINA, EUROPE and AMERICA news houses is that all Nigerians are carriers of the deadly EBOLA disease if there is still anyone alive in Nigeria and that Lagos is the worst hit. I was so angry at the way the western world are trying had to destroy the image of Nigeria at any possible opportunity. Mine anger soon gave way to pity when these young men told me that the NIGERIAN TELEVISION AUTHORITY (NTA) is awashed with the news of the federal government releasing billions of Naira to combat the deadly virus. The aftermath of these news is that Nigerians abroad are afraid to return home. These men sighted examples of their friends who prefer going to south Africa than return home to die with Ebola virus. The question tugging mine mind is, "if our enemies are bent on killing us, should we aid them with our own hands?". It is time we begin to project a positive image of this country anywhere we see ourselves: be it social media or not. The destiny of this great nation lies in your hands. As Detol will say, "if we don't project a good image of our country to the outside world, who will?". |
When I observed your point for the first time, I came to understand why the world see us as the most happiest country in the world. |
aljharem: Not a valid reasonSorry how true is this fact of Lagos owing 600 billion? |
twosquare: the wrath of man works not the righteousness of God....i can't begin to give you rules. That's why i said the seven Spirits will teach you that&lecture you God...every dealings He will have with each of us is going to be different in some way;taking us through pathways....Get acquainted with the seven Spirits&He'll show you what is needed unto you in particular...This is a different realm that is vast&it comes through those Spirits...if you want to go to Heaven, give your life to Christ(you know this), but if you want to enter into the Kingdom...go&master Eternal Life. This is all that has been taught till now. God through his spirit is teaching men how to be perfect like Him and those men can teach others. It is no more the trial and error thing. |
twosquare: The Spirit will teach that and everything you need to know about bypassing corruption. Those above are elementary, what is expected;but the main course shall be shown to you by the seven Spirits of God. Peace. This is why Christianity remain in one spot. They know there is a city, but they don't know how to get to that city. From this, your saying the Spirit has not revealed to you " the how". |
ABIOLAXYZ: Is democracy or autocracy ..........Are those arrested from Osun state? |
Cul4real: According to my view, if PDP won dis election Adeleke would need to run for his life cuz of assasination. You have a wrong view. Reason, there has been little or no political assassinations since GEJ took over govt. that is going to be sustained regardless of who wins. Nigeria is entering into another face. |
twosquare: master(by revelation) the Scriptures, epistles(live by His will(Spirit)... Then you shall enter Eden&partake of the tree of Life....don't just have life, have it abundantly. How do we live by His will? |
