Lol, how many prayer do God answer in the real sense? very little. Because we either are not praying right or we are not in the position to pray. How many prayers do you hear people repeat for months without ans? |
If your not born again and you give tithe, God doesn't receive your tithe. In that verse the op quoted, who were the people God told to bring their tithe? The were the children of Abraham (isreal). An Egyptian who gives God tithe has no reward from God. If your not a Christian and you give tithe, no money miss road be that. Tithe giving is like partnership, there must be a relationship before any partnership can stand. |
chemali: In a sane society, you won't need an Australian to tell you the obvious. Your analogy doesn't add up. How come the government has been unable to determine and arrest the sponsors after so many years, with so many arrests? So you are saying Boko Haram is sending Nigerians on a wild goose chase via an Australian? Don't over think things, the answer is staring at you plainly.Yes of cos, they must remain alive to remain relevant or you think they don't mean business? Dangling the carrot is the best in this kind of war. |
chemali: Watch the clip on Arise TV. El-Rufai only quoted what was said by the negotiator. Or is Ihejirika saying El Rufai paid the guy to make the allegations? If you were Boko haram, whom will you finger as your sponsor? Your friends (real sponsor) or your enemy? Why are they naming their sponsor now that they are falling rapidly. Nigerians no get small brain at all. |
bizngr: Sorry, I don't agree to most of what you wrote up there! Are you the owner of that website? Its really wonderful. |
davidif: Have you ever heard of the law of unintended consequences? That's what that situation looks like to me.No that is not how it look. Let me explain it. If we produce palm oil at 50 naira per liter in Nigeria we will likely sell at 70 naira making a profit of 5 naira as producers. Now someone in Malesya produces at 30 naira per liter sell to Nigerian importers at 50 naira, the importer comes to Nigeria sell at 65 naira. The Nigerian producer will have to reduce price which will wipe his profit away. So he closes down throws all his workers out. But govt. say no, importer pays a tax of 14 naira per liter imported. Importation becomes unattractive so the importers turns to manufacturer and employ Nigerians. This is how GDP grows not that the poor man in the street will be able to buy a car. |
davidif: Wow!!!! who are this policy makers in Naija in the first place? Did they even go to school at all? No wonder a lot of things don't work in the country. If you understand what she was trying to explain you wouldn't be asking this question. That is the best economic law so far if well implemented. |
ifeness: Then at the age of 30 the son is now probably a Father to another son, must he continue worshiping is dad?I drew the line between son and child clearly. |
Azukam1: I was ask this question in church discussion that did God has favourite. I was short of word cos u av to make it up with bible verse. I believe we av knowledge pple in nairaland. So help me out. If ur own is YES with reference or NO with reference.God has favourites but the favourites are not of a His making. We either make ourselves God's favourites or not. 2 timothy 2:20-21, If a man therefore purge himself from these, .... It did not say God will do the purging. It is the responsibility of one to purge himself, before he can be God's favourite. Who can be more God's favourite than king Saul, but he did not purge himself so another took his place in the person of David. You will hear people say God hated Esau and loved Jacob. Oh yes, but it was Esau the made God hate him and it was still Jacob that made God love him. Esau was always hunting with the people of the land, thereby getting himself corrupted with the people God warned Abraham of. Jacob was always at home hearing the commandment of God from his father and mother which they recieved from Abraham. So Jacob was equipped to carry the promise. Do you know that Jacob never saw/heard God till he left to get a wife from his fathers land, while Esau never heard from God till he died. What of Joseph, while others were in the field he was hearing from God through his father. So while will he not be God's favourite. You are a favourite of one who loves you and only one who is close to you that you will love. You don't love a stranger. |
TheBigUrban2: God sacked a person and destroyed his livelihood just so he can bless you with a bigger job.If your not in the programme of God, he uses you for His programme. He said, I will give Ethiopia for your sake and the outermost part of the earth for you. You see in Christianity, we are like sons. Our father can go any length to see us glorified. |
cbrass: Sometimes when I go to some churches, I do wonder at times when their pastors suddenly start uttering in some funny languages, just ordinary preaching alone you can hear lots of funny langauges let alone during prayer. The word cheap should not be used for the Holy Spirit. But I can assure the He (the Holy Spirit) is easy to get, if you know how. I also pity alot of people who think speaking in tongues indicate the presence of the Holy Spirit. Tongue is a gift, while the giver of that gift is the Holy Spirit. Many are after the gift then the giver. You can have the Holy Spirit without speaking in tongue. I love the Holy Spirit than the gift. |
One day as I got up to go out to see some clients, I heard a voice that said pick up your bible and read. I glanced at the bible on mine bed turn to go but the voice insisted so I took mine bible, opened it. It opened around Ezekiel or there about after reading the first page, there was nothing inspiring about it. I just closed it as I was about to drop it the voice said open the bible again. Now I opened John 20 and I got the message in verse one. "... before Mary got to Jesus grave, the stone was rolled away". I knew God has rolled away a great stone for me. With that excitement I went out, but when I returned there was nothing go about mine going out except that I was too tire to do anything. Before I slept the news came that the person heading me in the office has been sacked and that I should report the next morning to head the department. This was a spiritual intervention. For me there are many like that. Things don't happen to me since I came to know God without God letting me know in advance. |
ifeness: A son doesn't need faith to believe in the father. It is the duty of the father to make sure the child is emotionally, mentally and physical secured. A father who refuses to do that is either irresposible or dead.Your wrong. A father is not responsible to a son but to a child. When your father begin to see you as a son he expect you to being to take steps in that direction. Mine father use to pay my school fees without asking but know he doesn't even ask if I have eaten because he now sees me as a son not those days he will ask if I have eaten. Most Christians are like this. I read a post where someone on nairaland said if his children graduates from school he will kick them out to fend for themselves. That is how it should be not a 30 yr old still staying in his fathers house disturbing the parents. God sees us that same way. When you graduate to the place of a son and you don't step into that position in God, you suffer. |
barcanista: The Government of Goodluck Jonathan is Clearly a Government of Deceit. Finance Minister Okonjo Iwaela and Petroleum Minister Diziene Allison Madueke Owe Nigerians some explanation as regards this "MAGIC"When people who know nothing about economy sees numbers with money signs they scream blue murder. Todays money can never equate tomorrow money. |
Anytime a leader leaves Aso rock, he enters Nigeria. Welcome Ex-mr president (Obasanjo). If your not aware, your regime was worst. Not everyone that has eyes sees. |
Eke40seven: The devil we have chosen to 'Know' is a very diabolical and inept one. If our governor is not evil and heartless already, I just wonder who is. Wasn't he the one that laid shamelessly in a coffin in the middle of a demon infested forest that should be reserved for wildlife and threatened animals? When he got re-elected, I couldn't help but shed secret tears for the bleak future that awaited Abians. Please, if APC or AC or whatever is 'evil', let's explore that option. some 'evil' can be 'good', since they've shown good antecedents in so many states after all. If they even appear to have any shade of 'angelic' appearance, then I think is a far better option than this devilish principality we label as a leader.Party doesn't rule, it is personalities that rule. |
overhypedsteve: How dare you talk about my Ghana like that, we have light, we don't have ebola, obama said our country is good, even the world bank guy came to confirm it. Ghana is the leader of Africa. We need Ghana rulership, ![]() |
twosquare: sometimes you sound funny...what is it you are driving at or where exactly are you going?bye |
Godbest: i rather die defending my word and integrityEven when your words were spoken with little on no fact except hatred? |
QAPHAYNE: How come its nigerians that are schooled by the whites that end up doing us proud? ALAYOTECH!! I smell frontpage.Because our educational system is not practical oriented. |
tbaba1234: b]Stories in the Quran[/b]We shall be with you signify that Allah is more than one here. What is your thought on this? |
PastorOluT: So what is the life that God gave us?You question is not understandable by me. But let me tell you this, there is nothing a man is today that he did not learn. Even Jesus himself knew the importance of learning that is while he took time to teach his disciples. Have you ever read where Jesus said, "learn of me" in the bible. Do you know that God's grace was sufficient to Paul, but that grace could not take the infirmity away. The only thing that brings freedom according to Jesus is "truth" which can only be acquire by learning. And thou shall know the truth before thy freedom will be delivered unto thee. If you don't know that sin is likened to bondage please know today. I thought all this while you would have asked me to unveil this light to you. For only a wise man will hear and increase learning. |
If you have not seen what GEJ has done, I will agree with you that IBB, Buhari, Shahari, Abubaka, Gowon etc are the best Nigeria should expect with what their region are experiencing. It is time we live politics and believe in a better Nigeria irrespective of who is leading. Gej is my best bet any day. |
conyema12: TA orji doesnt even have shame. Getting to 8yrs in office yet he has not even achieved a quarter of what Rochas achieved in less than 3 yrs. Yet he has more internally generated revenue. Milking the state dry.The problem with Nigeria is too much newspaper. Tell us what Rochas has done first. When I was in the East I was shocked to see foot bridges being built with 6 or 9 inch blocks. Can you beat that? How many years is that suppose to last? is that not waste of public fund? is that not fraud? is that not hoodwinking a people. To tell you the truth, I stop listening to media propaganda after seeing the nonsense. |
Money is the only thing that motivate this man. This is pathetic |
Yungwizzzy: Is this an achievement??Name your contributions outside Nairaland. |
When America reply this message I don't want to hear America is wicked oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo |
10.4 trillion Naira na debt? Funny people I thought it was in $. |
afrodoc:When the advert come out you will stop laughing immediately |
PastorOluT: I agree with ur first statement, bt not with the second that God is teaching us to be righteous like Him.If God did not call us to learn, how then did Jesus have to learn obedience. Jesus being the very person that if full with grace has to learn from the Father for he said I can of myself do nothing, what I see the father do that I do (ie is learning). Do you know that Adam failed because he did not finish his apprenticeship under God. |
This is a prophecy in fulfillment. After him the last pope will emerge by name Peter. |
ZKOSOSO: He is a keen observer of times like me in the political mago mago of hausafulanikanuri in Nigeria. Since independence these guys see Nigeria as their personal property. To themPost the link here. |
