skydiver01:TB rates are finally getting to a place where it makes some sense for the nation. If at 5.8%, the 364 day TB is still being oversubscribed by about 100%, it simply means there's good room to push rates lower. Perhaps to less than 2.5% until appetite plateaus... It's just common sense... It's quite clear that the exorbitant rates the cbn paid on TBs were seen as a way of injecting new fiat into the economy. That has been extremely ineffective. If the CBN wants to introduce new money, they should do that via other means where it gets to the target audience directly and not by rewarding 'briefcase' investors with huge interest rates that eventually have little or no effect on the real economy. I believe that even at 2%, TBs will continue to be oversubscribed. What this also means is that there's lots of institutional money trapped on bank balances and looking for where to invest. What the CBN should do is streamline the process and support macroeconomic policies that make investing in instruments that support the real economy less cumbersome and relatively safe E.g housing, transport e.t.c. If the CBN is still looking for what to use newly minted money for, they could give a 10% bonus plus fee refund to every new person under 30 that decides to invest in the NSE with a 2 year lockup period (using their bvn to confirm). That would help the economy much better that giving already rich folks >10% in the name of TBs |
I believe that if one gets into a market and it's not working out as expected, they should try to understand how the market works and learn from mistakes first. It does seem that folks rush to buy ATH of certain coyns cos someone said it's going to the moon and come back throwing tantrums when the market has a healthy pullback Few questions How many people complaining after every dip bought when Bitc0in when it was as 30k? I don't know of anyone who bought coyns when bitc0in was at 30k that's shi**ng themselves about this move. If you missed the move at 30k, try and see things from the perspective of those who didn't miss it. We know for a fact that eith and bitc0in will outperform over 95% of alyts in the long-term... How many of those complaining have any of those in their portfolio? Most folks who I know that have a good allocation to betece or eith are chilled about this dip as to them, they see an opportunity... Some are even angry that eith has continued to hold 4k. Ask folks complaining here what they hold and they start calling obscure coyns How many have traded any traditional market? In traditional investing, a 10% roi per year is seen as huge. I've bought Treasury bills and held for a year to get 10% . In stocks, such gains are also very good. But folks come to crypt0 and expect the market to shoot up in a straight line. It's not gambling Sorry to say, but It's quite clear that most folks in crypt0 have little experience with traditional investing. Like I always say, I don't know anyone who's target was 10%apr (which is very healthy) that had problems investing in crypt0.... If you're looking for a majic ball, keep looking and please let me know when you find one |
One thing I like about Crypt0 is how cyclical it can be Anytime there's a proper dip, you always see folks get blame one thing or another. It's quite clear that most people saying complaining have barely been in crypt0 upto a year. Most were attracted to crypt0 during the last rally when bitc0in went from 3k to 60k in about a year. They forget that for the most past of the previous 3yrs, bitc0in had also sold off from 20k to 3k. The market will continue to teach same lessons folks who stayed in crypt0 thru 2018 have picked up. Crypt0 is barely a 10 yr old market... So if someone says TA works with forex and not crypt0, then why did they venture into crypt0 and not keep using that TA to make loads of money in forex? The fact is that most don't understand the very basic principles of any traded market. If they was a majic ball to predict any market (e.g stocks, commodities e.t.c) then there'd be no market in the first place. I've stopped responding to certain statements cos it seems I'm repeating myself. Because of how fast crypt0 is growing, there'd always be new folks who'd complain about same thing. |
Sailor1:Cake/bnb... Cake has been shockingly underwhelming against bnb... Brings me back to portfolio allocation This is clearly a reason why when I'm bullish on a chain, I want to hold the base layer coyn... All smartchains are structured in such a way that the layer 1 coyns would in the long-term outperform coyns built on it... All fees on bsc are paid in bnb, same also most defi protocols on bsc have more bnb than any other coin locked in. If you look at CAKE, it serves little or no function unlike bnb... That said, money will still flow into layer 2s and there are some early signs that's beginning to happen e.g crv and matic... And they'd sure outperform eth at certain times of the market but not in the long term... The main reason I hold layer 2s is to use their intense rallies to boost my layer 1 portfolio..... On cake for example, I'd convert some bnb into cake if it bleeds into the lower levels...

Misyarn:When I see posts like this, I want to exit the market... The time to buy was in May... Wait till we have another May event |
StrafordSTONES:I'm not about selling the exact top- no one can. Neither am I attacking your trading style. Personally, I do prefer to take profits on the way up and not capitulate at the bottom of a pullback. I did deploy some fresh fiat yesterday. Hoping next week gives another opportunity. Generally, I aim to buy low and sell high except when I think the market top is in |
Ibime:The mcap is very healthy moreso considering the tvl... On crv, I'd let it run for a while... The breakout was 4... Would be targeting 15-20 on it initially |
Mazinewmoney:Ioi is not a coyn I've heard of and I'd rarely ever chart coyns I don't follow... Aside the chart, there are other things I try to guage in a coyn... Looking at ioi chart, it's been on a recent rally. Usually, when people ask me to checkout coyns and I pull up the chart and see it's been on a recent rally, I just switch off. My trading style is not to chase pumps.... If I was looking to get in it, I'd trade it kust like the thousands of other microcaps in the market- buy low and sell high. Regarding where I buy, I've shared thoughts on how I get in at the daily or preferably the weekly support. All said, I read your debacle with the scammer. I do believe you'd benefit by allocating your portfolio in order. Chasing one microcap pump after another may likely leave you pants down at the end of this run |
Yesterday, I deployed some fiat into to the market... Too many coyns were at support so I decided to delve. I have been waiting for a while to deploy some fiat and like stated before, I was looking more at coyns with under 5b Market cap If the next 1-2 wks provides another dip, good chance that'd be my last purchase of this market cycle Got some crv and chz with micros, I got some lina, burger, slp and paper |
Ibime:Let's see how it pans out... Would have been more concerned if it was say coinbaz |
StrafordSTONES:Good you protected your capital... But lemme ask, wouldn't it have been better to close your positions when betece was above 65k |
toby345:Mostly... Except on certain occasions when I'm target the 4hrly e.g on a meme coyn |
adebolamide:You should look for another place to propagate your scam We should report such posts as scam. Rule no 9 I believe... It's high time we rid this place of such folks |
mulannoire:It depends on your target when you got in... 7 to 51 is x7... On re-entry, I usually target the daily or weekly ema. It does have some weekly support close to the weekly ema I got in later and looking to ride it slowly till I exit |
stewiepeter:Quoted below was my first response to you when cro was at 0.77. roughly 4x from breakout jedisco:If you look at the post you quoted, I was clear that when allocating my portfolio, I considered getting some cro as part of my exchange token but later didn't. Then cro was between 0.1 and 0.2. From current valuations to 2usd is a modest 2.5x Like I said, I wouldn't buy a 20b mcap coyn that has 4x in the preceding 3 weeks. It doesn't matter if it does another 100x afterwards. That's not my trading style. Feel free to quote me when your targets are hit so we can celebrate |
Ibime:If I get you right, there are two patterns I follow. Both are tricky but have clear invalidations if timed well. The risk/reward is usually sensible. I don't allocate huge sums to them as an ensuing rally should cover up The first which I believe you're referring to is when a coyn goes on first impulse rally... I watch the selloff and if it holds good structure on the way down, I target the bounce zone which is either the daily or weekly support... The ideal prerequisites are that it has to be the first impulse rally, it has to have some sensible volume (not just a wick which some micros are notorious of), the selloff also has to have some structure. Good example is mana... I've posted the daily chart.... The second is when I preempt coyns that have a habit of pumping heavy. Here I just get in early and wait... Of course things like mcap, market condition e.tc have to be looked into as past performance doesn't necessarily guarantee the future.... But then, it's generally based on the fact that certain coyns tend to move in certain ways. This is where wrx falls.... Here I focus on the weekly chart alone and don't actively flip it. Rari pump you mentioned doesn't quite fit the first criteria... It's the hourly chart and just looks like a good old whale manipulation on lowcap coyns
|
Ibime:Toh... E don run leave me..... No need to chase At 9b mcap, it does have room to rally.. But if I was to enter, I'd wait for a retrace to the daily or weekly ema... Looked up the daily chart and yesterday's candle wasn't a nice one.... Let's see how today and tomorrow closes
|
Ibime:Egld has done well... Funny enough, when it broke ATH of 200 shortly after kava, I opted to go with kava which has been stalling... I'm not so familiar with EGLDs blockchain but such investment will help prices.... 250 would have been the cutoff for me though. I'm seeing luna as a long-term play as I fancy their offerings... If it can do 3-5x with time, I'd ease into ust and just let it accumulate interest. On CRV, still not into it as much... Was hoping on a further dip into the weekly support.... But I'm bullish on it.... Expecting a 4-20 trip on it at least I'm riding one... Loved its weekly close... Sensible market cap too... Hopefully, its my bluechip of this rally... Really need some of my coyns to do a shib as I need extra liquidity
|
Khaytunechi:It depends on where you staked. For binaz, if it was thru locked staking you may have to forfeit the profit... With staking on defi, you could pull out when you wish .. eitherway, the conditions are usually written or could be clarified online. |
Suicide666:Slp... Seems the coyn has lots of loyal folks... Mk e pump mk all man chop. |
Ibime:Not in it's layer 2s. After the lacklustre performance of eiths and bnb layer 2s, I'm largely still in L1s for now.. I just stake it on defi.... Took a tiny usd loan against my stack on aave... But if you're looking for where to buy, trust wallet supports c-chain... Traderjoexyz seems to be the most prominent dex on avax... Good chance you'd get most of it's layer 2s there |
Enough fighting.... If bitc0in dips this week, for those who still have dry powder, can they share what they're planning to buy, at what price and with what percentage of their dry powder.... mk we get tips |
Lexusgs430:Hehe... Enjoi... |
stewiepeter:Hehe... You mistake my comments..... Whether it does 100x from here still doesn't change one thing... I wouldn't be aping blindly into any coyn at this stage... Funny enough, it's just 4x in 5 weeks.... Shib did 10x in 4 weeks... Some coyns did 4x over this weekend... Still doesn't change the fact that I'd struggle to buy a coyn whose chart looks this way..... Until I see a retrace at least |
stewiepeter:Oga/madam no vex.... |
Lexusgs430:Hehe... Enjoy.... It usually stops pumping mid cycle and starts its bear market lomg before others.... It's pumps are highly manipulated... Well most exchanges pump their native tokens in a bullrun to attract new folks |
In the heat of the market, it's easy to forget ones strategy... 2 weeks ago, I was waiting for matic to pump.... If I had looked at this weekly chart, the arrowed area was a classic reversal candle... Perhaps, I'd have cut some and waited at the weekly support.... Trading alyts in a bull run can be relatively straightforward as far as bitc0in doesn't commit some fukcery.... Most folks would make much more profit if the do the following.. 1. Split portfolio adequately into different kinda coyns with different market caps 2. Select an ema you've mastered... Personally, I use 21... 3. Always look at the weekly chart before taking a position 4. If your coyn is far extended from the weekly ema support and prints a reversal candle, you might want to take some profit and compound lower... 5. Avoid jumping between coyns unnecessarily 6. Know when to slowly start scaling outta the market... And hope bitc0in doesn't coming major fu*kcery before you do
|
nonut:Cro is an exchange coyn which they notoriously pump.. my ish is that jumping in at the current price doesn't look like the right strategy. CRO usually pumps crazy and then stalls in the middle of the market cycle. They've done a good job to pump it... At 20b usd valuation now, it's getting into business territory. Funny thing is that when it was at 0.15, I wanted to convert the little coyn I had on their platform and stake so I can get their card... As I was dillydallying, it pumped to 0.2 and I decided to leave it and didn't enter on a retrace... |
Alot has been said about @9japple... Doesn't take much to see that the guy knows his stuff.... The quality of the thread is a compendium of the knowledge we all share. We need folks like him on this thread.... While there's lots of free crypt0 material online, a good number of sound material is also paid for. I wouldn't attack a man who is good at his job from asking for a pay. He's contributed well to this thread... Didn't just turn up and start asking to join a group. I'd rather pay for good stuff than chase numerous airdrops or 'mining' worthless tokens in the name of looking for free stuff... Lastly, most people mistake TA for a majic ball where you see the future... False... The most proven way for majority of folks to make money in any market is by holding thru the right wave. TA only helps to outperform the market... If you haven't seen the basics, TA will wreck you... |
jedisco:We didn't get the strong weekly close but we got the immediate retest.... Ltc is one hell of a sh*tcoyn.... It's only value now seems to be accurately predicting a Bitc0in selloff...... One thing I find interesting is how it keeps going back to retest previous support so accurately... Just like how it's sitting on 225 Next time it pumps, I know what to do
|
shinaayodele48:Thanks for the nice words... I started a thread where I share views on how I navigate the market moreso looking at bigger moves.... Also, there's lots of quality crypt0 material online...most of which are free too... It may take a while but by trying constantly to improve on past mistakes and experience, the market becomes easier to navigate |
