We forget that even Saudi Arabia has a CULTURE apart from Islam.
The same way Yoruba Christians can beat Bata drums and dance in Church to praise God, even though bàtá is not mentioned in the Bible.
I know people will argue that exposing of hair is against Islam, well.......I am not an authority, because I'm a Christian, but here we have it........the culture at the root of Islam is presenting a dance that possibly predates the religion.
Muslims should make of it what they will. |

Satazaa: Dunno why Arteta and the arsenal hierarchy are not interested in VO, with the enormous amount of convertible chances arsenal players like Saka, Rice and Ordegard creates at arsenal he will easily hit 30 plus goals if they sign him and coupled with the fact that he is a childhood arsenal fan. There is also the odd chance that RM may consider him and ship away Rodrigo paving way for vicious, osihmen and Mbappe attacking line and boy that will be fearsome. Why would Arsenal be interested? Do they want to win anything? |

2mch: 45bn of then adjust for inflation will be like 450bn now. Na wa o. So you think it's only 10x since 1975/76? Think again. That money was more than $45 billion back then, as N1 was more than $1. Isn't it crazy, that the Naira was once worth more than Dollar? Crazy, but true. Anyways, without even adjusting for inflation, how much is $45 billion now? In any case, maybe the sum has already been adjusted for inflation, sha......and originally was just a couple million Naira back then that was owed. |
Car Talk › Re: What Will You Do If You Were In My Position? by Jeezuzpick(m): 4:37pm On May 13, 2025 |
HelenaWills: I wanted to get my mum a small car last year. Didn't have money for a tokunbo so I asked my brothers to help me surf jiji for any affordable car. They showed me a Civic 08 and since I drive one myself, I felt it would be nice to match with my mum.
My brothers and a Kazeem went for inspection and they discovered the car had a few things to be fixed which made them slash the price from 2.4M that we initially agreed to #2,050,000. This was in June last year.
They set out to drive the car down to my house before heading to my mum's but brethrens, since June last year till this very moment as I type this. The car has only been parked from one Kazeem shop to another, on some days it was left by the road side or a petrol station for days out of frustration. I have spent above 700k on it all to no fruition. It's been almost a year now and this car hasn't made me it my house yet talk more of sending it to my mum. I contacted the guy and he said he had tried by slashing the price and that was all he could do. At some point, he stopped picking my brother's calls. Please what advice can you give me?
Can I get him arrested or take legal measures against him at least? Or has this become my headache for life? I need chunks of recommendations please. We recently bought a 2009 Corolla. During the search, my wife always went with a family friend who runs diagnostics while I went with a mechanical engineer colleague and friend who is automobile biased and also runs diagnostics, because we were searching in different locations. We ran diagnostics on each and every car we checked, until we settled for one with "zero codes". Even that one still has minor issues to correct, and it cost us many times the N2m you paid for the Civic. I'm sorry, but a car at that price, without rigorous testing, bought almost a full year ago? Forget it. You don buy market. |

God1000: what does JD Vance know
Both countries have nuclear weapons. Even a limited nuclear exchange would have catastrophic humanitarian, environmental, and economic effects, possibly triggering a global crisis (like a "nuclear winter" or major climate disruption).
India is a major player in the global economy, a full blown war with Pakistan will disrupt supply chains, markets, and regional stability, affecting everything from oil prices to stock markets worldwide. JD Vance is the VP of the United States, and a former US Marine, yet you know more than he does about the military dynamics of the Indo-Pakistani area? You sabi pass US Vice President, na in you dey here. Issokay, continue. |

Wickedlywicked: All these silly talks need to stop. This thing is done by voting, now how many black men are in the conclave? Just like black Africans, no Asian has ever been made Pope and Francis was the first Latino to attain the prestigious position but it’s only Africans that have this silly marginalization mentality It’s annoying tbh. Victimization is a tactic employed by weak people to gain sympathy, we black Africans are not weak! As in........in fact, ehn.... Can a white man be Sultan or Ooni? We need to know that these are spiritual positions tied to culture. Wether anyone likes it or not, the Papacy is as cultural as it is spiritual. The Pope is the head of the Roman Catholic Church, which began in Europe and was basically a European Empire before spreading out to the rest of the world. I am not surprised in any way that Popes are largely European. Na dia religion, abeg. Make den carry am do as dey like. Before people say something like, other races should be allowed because the Pope is the head of the Church, na lie o. Jesus is the the Head of the Church. The real Church that He established on the truth of His Word, the real Church that He died for, that anyone can join by believing in Him and accepting Him as Saviour and Lord. The Europeans can keep their institution. It is theirs. |

Goodlady: Nigerians look helpless. Because they have never agreed together. They are so hungry, poor and broke, tribalistic, religiously blind and disunited that it's so easy for politicians to use their destiny to drink garri and chicken instead of using fish or groundnut.
What's the solution? We should all go separate. Split in peace or in peices. That sef is highly unrealistic but the only solution to a multifaceted society. This "solution" will only lead to war as people of "foreign" ethnic groups who don't leave for their new "countries" fast enough can be, will be, purged with great prejudice. Ibos wey no comot north fit dey wiped out, same with other tribes wey no be north, other countries will retaliate. Armed forces will be divided. Northern Navy personnel no go get sea to operate, how den wan take share the armaments, what of electricity? The. National grid? Long story short, na recipe for barbecued wahala be dat. |

omonnakoda: Nigeria never begged him that is a lie without evidence
How old are you? Name the coach that begged him. I am old Enough to remember FATHER TIKO so tell us which coach begged him?? I am old enough to remember when or Team was called Green Eagles NOT Super Eagles so you cannot bullshit me
You just make up ridiculous stories to catch clout.
Many kids imagine the world in the 80s looked like it does now.
It did not
The premiership was not born , we were not watching English football and the ordinary person in Nigeria did not know him
I remember they brought Two Nigerians from the English First Division as it used to be called then John Chiedozie and another guy and they were not successful
John Fashanu was at his Prime at the same time as Rashidi Yekini Why would we beg him when we had Yekini In 1994 We had our best team ever and were ranked Number 6 by FIFA. We did not need him. We brought in Efan Ekoku from England and he was always on the Bench Some of us watched "Big League Soccer" back then that focussed on English football with highlights from other European leagues. I knew John and Justin Fashanu because my Dad, who was an amateur footballer (and a very good one) also schooled in Huddersfield where the Fashanus were born and he knew them, though they're much younger. Those days, we didn't understand English football, Iust admit. We called it "Kick and Run Football" because it lacked the flair and dribbles we see today. I remember Kenny Dalglish, John Barnes, Milky Thomas, Souness, Steady and of course the Fash brothers. |

Lifestone: Foolish man. He should go and Coach the English Team. Nigeria was practically begging this guy to play for the Country in the '80s, he refused Get your facts right. He came to train with the Green Eagles. He wasn't picked because his playing style didn't jell with the rest of the team. He came for the Green Eagles before the Three Lions came calling. The excuse was, he didn't speak any of the Nigerian languages and didn't fit with the team. However, he alleges that the then coach was extorting players and he refused to pay up, kinda like what happened to Mbappe in Cameroon. |
