Religion / Re: If We Are To Love Our Enemies, Are We Not To Love Satan? by Jenwitemi(m): 1:39pm On Sep 14, 2012
Well, if your god can't manage to love his own enemy(even he having an enemy is an embarrassment to his supposed lofty devine status), why should you? Are you better than your god? Of course you are not. wink
stepo707: Matt 5:44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you.

It happens that satan happens to be our enemy. So guys what do you think?

Religion / Re: No Room For Discrimination by Jenwitemi(m): 1:35pm On Sep 14, 2012
Yeah, right.

Christianity is already a discriminating religion. Just look at the theology itself and the deity being worshiped. The fact that there were no angels of other races and skin color in "heaven" presented by religion; the fact that bible god himself never reveal himself directly to black africans and had to do it via white missionaries; the fact that he stood back and watch whites take black Africans into slavery and other forms of bondage; the fact that he is the god of a jewish nation as declared by the bible OT; etc, etc.

Ofcourse you can ignore all that and pretend that they do not exist all in the name of FAITH. No discrimination my foot.

It takes wisdom to explain what appears jumbled up. Give that a thought.
miredia: @frosbel, silence isn't that difficult afterall. It takes wisdom to withold words and emotions. Give it a thought.
Religion / Re: Is This How You Observe The Shabbath? by Jenwitemi(m): 4:52pm On Sep 09, 2012
I do not practice anything from the bible. Sabbath is only for the jews. It is not for Africans.
plappville:

Do you obey practice the ten commandments? Please tell me where it says the Sabbath is for the Jews only.
Religion / Re: Oyedepo's Slap Suit Goes To Appeal Court by Jenwitemi(m): 9:21am On Sep 09, 2012
Why do i always mix the two men up. I wonder.
CrazyMan:
Actually ia Oyedepo not Adeboye...and I agree with you, Nigeria is truly a lawless society otherwise is see no reason why Oyedepo should still be allowed to conduct services...he ought to pay for his actions.
Religion / Re: Oyedepo's Slap Suit Goes To Appeal Court by Jenwitemi(m): 8:41am On Sep 09, 2012
But in public? Even if he was going to deliver the girl in such manner, why not in privacy of his practice like they usually do? Anyway, assault is assault and the man should be financially punished, severely.
abproffy:
Ɣ☺ΰ see the pastor is a specialist in spiritual matters, perhaps slapping the girl was the only to free her of her unclean spirit grin

Religion / Re: He Died For Our Sins...this Statement Always Cracks Me Up by Jenwitemi(m): 8:36am On Sep 09, 2012
There is no rationale in christian doctrine and that is why it is a religion... no, that is why it is christianity. And that is also why obadiah has been floundering all the while with his replies. He can't explain what his religious beliefs entails because he does not understand them himself. And neither does he, as his fellow christian brethrens, have to understand them because. They just simply worship. Obadiah does not have to understand what he worships or why he has to worship... he just worships like a robotic zombie. That is all that is required of him, so go easy on him, bro.
crosbreaka:

Would Jonathan kill himself or his son or even resign so that a bunch of 'good men' who have minor mistakes can rule nigeria with him? What's the rationale behind such action?
Religion / Re: Is This How You Observe The Shabbath? by Jenwitemi(m): 8:23am On Sep 09, 2012
I didn't know that there are so many naija jews on NL. Or are they just jews wannabees because only jews should be observing sabath and no one else with the exception of those who enjoy living out fake existence.
Religion / Re: Oyedepo's Slap Suit Goes To Appeal Court by Jenwitemi(m): 8:19am On Sep 09, 2012
Are you for real? Just because the girl went to the pastor's church does not give him the right to physically assault her, especially so publicly. Moreover, what is Nigeria as a country? A country of barbarians?
abproffy:

My bro just as Ɣ☺ΰ have said, in the civilised country.
But na naija we dey, wetin the girl find go the pastor church.

Religion / Re: This Is Classic. It Speaks To Me. Does It Speak To You? by Jenwitemi(m): 8:15am On Sep 09, 2012
Hadn't Jesus done his bit before and failed? Isn't that what this little excerpt from the OP clearly shows? What makes you think Jesus can achieve this time around with his message, what he couldn't the last time he was here?
Mr_Anony: True talk, We need Jesus indeed. He is the only way forward.
Religion / Re: Christainity Is Not Expected To Make Sense To The Physical Mind. by Jenwitemi(m): 8:07am On Sep 09, 2012
Lol! Very convenient excuse of inability to explain away the foolishness of the christian doctrine, this. Christianity has nothing, and i mean, absolutely nothing to do with spirituality.
miredia: I spent several hours scrolling down pages to pages and made a critical observation of a trend where folks try to use their physical cognition in deciphering things of the spirit. Folks it will never EVER add up to you. These transcends just being academically saavy or being an impeccable philosopher. The things of the spirit are totally different fron the physical. There are laws that govern the spirit and the physical.
Religion / Re: Oyedepo's Slap Suit Goes To Appeal Court by Jenwitemi(m): 8:02am On Sep 09, 2012
With a dirty slap in the glare of the public? You don't see anything wrong with that? In any civilized country, pastor Adeboye would be facing a huge pay out to the girl right now.
abproffy: I came across this now, plz what is our world turning into.
Did pastor make any mistake in trying to deliver the girl from witches.

Religion / Re: When Christianity Becomes A Religion by Jenwitemi(m): 11:44pm On Sep 07, 2012
How can you change the world when you haven't even changed yourselves? Sick unsane people who are trying to cure a sick unsane world. How would that work? You wanna change the world, you gotta change yourselves first. You cure yourselves first. You have not even begin to do that. You think by carrying bible all about gives you the qualification to change the world? It doesn't. Christians have been in this world for about 2 millenia and the world is still sinking in chaos. Have you ever asked yourself why?
Encoredme:
As Christians we r supposed to change the world and make it better, starting from our neighborhoods.the Boko Haram problem for example should be looked into by the church and a solution should be put into action to deal with it. The goverment can only do so much.

Religion / Re: He Died For Our Sins...this Statement Always Cracks Me Up by Jenwitemi(m): 6:40pm On Sep 07, 2012
Oh really? You are one of the biggest sufferers of willfull ignorance on NR religion forum, if you must know. You can't know this because this "sickness" extends to you not knowing that you suffer under it, too.
Mr_Anony:
Not all of us. I can't speak for myself but I like to think I am not
Religion / Re: He Died For Our Sins...this Statement Always Cracks Me Up by Jenwitemi(m): 6:31pm On Sep 07, 2012
Guilty of that, aren't we all? You included.
Mr_Anony:
Wow, ever heard of something called willful ignorance?
Religion / Re: When Christianity Becomes A Religion by Jenwitemi(m): 6:29pm On Sep 07, 2012
If only Christians and Muslims can learn from that. This world would be a much better place to live in. The city of Jos would definitely benefit.
JeSoul: Lol, okay oh, no wahala. Indeed a person's beliefs are of no consequence to anyone but himself/herself.
Religion / Re: He Died For Our Sins...this Statement Always Cracks Me Up by Jenwitemi(m): 6:25pm On Sep 07, 2012
I usually close my ears to what does not make sense to me. If you know that what you are going to say is senseless, then you might as well keep it to yourself. You do know that Christian ideas are full of senselessness and that's why a healthy dose of faith of the blind type is needed to swallow them. grin wink
Mr_Anony:
Not so. I just don't see the sense in trying to get you to understand what you have already closed your ears to
Religion / Re: When Christianity Becomes A Religion by Jenwitemi(m): 6:19pm On Sep 07, 2012
Because it makes more sense to me. That's why.
JeSoul: So what then seperates or makes your belief more credible than that of the christian?
Religion / Re: He Died For Our Sins...this Statement Always Cracks Me Up by Jenwitemi(m): 1:13pm On Sep 07, 2012
You've just chickened out because you know fully well that your own spin on it won't bring any clarification whatsoever. Never mind, anony.
Mr_Anony:
The phrase in red is the reason why I won't bother explaining anything to you. My words will be wasted upon you. If you get it, you get it. If you don't get it, that's just too bad.
Religion / Re: He Died For Our Sins...this Statement Always Cracks Me Up by Jenwitemi(m): 10:49am On Sep 07, 2012
Explain it to me,then. Even though, to me, sin is sin whether it is original or not. They are all the same to me. I am sure there will be nothing new about your explanation for i would have heard it many times before, but explain away, anony. Let me hear your own spin on why original sin should be seen differently.
Mr_Anony:
I think you are referring to "original sin". If that is true, then I'm afraid you don't know what original sin is all about. If you are willing, I'll try and explain. If you've already dug ur heels into ur bias then I'm sorry I can't help u.
And while you are at it, explain how dying for another person cleans that person's sin away. Remember that that is one of the dumbest teachings of many dumb teachings in christianity.
Religion / Re: Can Man Live Ethically And Morally Without The Guidance Of Religion? by Jenwitemi(m): 1:59am On Sep 07, 2012
