This is unnecessary, saying 'senselessly' is very rude. I believe we should all deal with each other with respect whether young or old. Because this is a faceless group doesn't mean everybody is the same age group. You will marvel when you know the age of some of the guys, people talk to anyhow here as if they are age mates. On the other hand, whether age or not, there should be mutual respect.

Please I want to study marine engineering next year fall fully on scholarship..
1)is it possible??
2)is there any thread for that??
3) SAT or TOEFL which is preferred and easier ??
4) Which one is cheaper because one man I met yesterday is telling 170k for SAT and 30k for school search ..... how true is this
I will happy if answered ... God bless you
You are in the right place my brother.
You can always search for schools yourself. Is it Masters or Undergraduate? Cos i think SAT is for undergraduates.
And to answer number one question, it is very possible. But your academic results and test scores will decide if it will be possible or not so if you have a good result, then nice.

gbaby4live:
4. You can search School up for your self, and please run for that 419 that calls himself agent..

Please, start by visiting usnews.com and click on education then filter up the school u want or better still visit google and search for schools in USA that offers marine engineering( Bsc/Msc)
To add to what Gabby said, avoid agents, they will put u in trouble. Add asides Usnews, com, also check gradschools.com and petterson.com (mainly for Masters sha).

I wish you well baba

Gone are the days when we normally used to read and read nairaland 247.... Students and applicant should always have eyes to eyes contact with VO. dont be panic in delivering your point. be articulate. know everything about the school very well. let them know about the benefit our country Nigeria gonna benefit from you studying that course...dont be too serious and dont make it do or die affair while with them.

Structure all your point and stop talking about making research online bla bla bla...those are old stories...talk about you buying school catalogue online or you requested for it which you make extensive research bla bla bla....
Nice. Please check your PM.

Am new here Please folks I applied for an MBA programme at Lincoln University, California, as self sponsor, my interview date is 27th of November, should I go with my Bank Statement? because I don't want to be denied by the VO. Also I need peoples' transcript on MBA interviews. Here is my mail sholdadunju@gmail.com. thanks God bless you all
Yes Shola. Who ever is your sponsor, you must present a bank statement to back up you claim of being able to cover your funding and living expenses while in the United States.

Meanwhile, you said you are new. I will advise you take your time to go through this thread to see ACCEPTED and DELAYED interview transcripts. They might be long but I tell you, its worth it. Or to make your job easier, on the SEARCH BAR above, just type VO MBA. You will see transcripts relating MBA both delayed and approved. You will be glad you did at the end.

Lastly, pray and commit this to God. He still has the final say.

I wish you luck Sir/ Ma. Hope to read your successful visa interview transcript here soon.

House please , I heard Abuja VOs are strict .. how true is this cos I already picked abj oo
Its not true. WHen A LOT of people go for visa interviews unprepared and they fail, they blame the VOs and call them strict. If you are prepared my brother, its the same thing. Lagos rejects a lot too (if you ain't prepared o). Everything na your belief. My friend got his visa at ABUJA. He was prepared. So if you are, then why are you scared? Remember, the VOs are humans like us. They are only doing their job. You just have to convince them you are a genuine student and not a potential immigrant. That's all. I wish you the best and expect your transcript Sir.

EZEIGBO1OFIMO:
whenever anybody (Visa officers, Admissions committee) ask "why this course", they are not looking to hear your life story (like " ever since I was a child..." wahala), as a grown adult they are expecting realistic reasons that will ultimately be of benefit to you. As an an accounting degree individual going to a business school, it's most likely that you are ready to transition from the number crunching to more managerial and executive roles, and your experience (hoping you have that) in accounting (and maybe auditing) better suits you for top level financial advisory and analytical roles. so when faced with that question, a likely answer would be "I am confident that with my experience as an accountant, a business degree would greatly improve my chances of an early transition into executive roles , advisory roles and top notch consulting. which is line with my goal of taking one step further in the corporate and financial ladder"
I dey suspect this guy nah Professor oooo... I hail you sir.. I di too much grin grin

Visa Approved Today at Lagos Embassy.. 6:30am

Now the last question to approve my visa was where i saw how Grace and favour works, devil bin won try him power but God say No no no.. leave him alone

VO: who will be paying for your studies

Me: My Dad

VO: What does he do

Me: i went blank, i couldn't remember what my dad does, i was lost for words for like 35 seconds, she was just looking at me to say something, me i was just struggling to say but i couldn't, she noticed that and she said don"t worry take your time, settle down but yet i couldn't say a word, i was just smiling shaking my head, after some seconds she moved her head closer to the window glass and said relax, take your time we are just having a conversation with an elegant smile on her face while she was saying that.. before you know it i just pick up like motor wey dem dey push

Me: My Dad is into real estate business and he also import ties from Spain (although i starmara a little bit)

VO: I will be approving your visa, pick it up in 3 days time, she pick up the white paper and circle a place there, gave it to me with my i20 and said i should keep my i20 safe as will be required at the Port entry. Na so i collect my visa ooo No singles document was asked.

My transcript seems long here but it"s actually less than 4 mins with Vo because she speaks very fast and i also respond very fast as well.
One of the best VISA Testimonies I have ever read. This lifted my spirit. NOTICE the words in BOLD, that is FAVOUR... God's grace will be sufficient for all of us in Jesus name!?
