I think the best way for any society to progress is when you have at least two major parties with equal power - that way no one can push their agenda through without some support from the other side. Congress would always be 50/50 If I had any say in it.

Marc Lamont reminds of this co-worker of mine who was hired for a 6 month contract. Dude was fine as hell, but his attitude and character was gutter and such a turn-off, and pretty soon, he began to look really, I mean really ugly to me.

Okay, I know we all have different tastes and different opinions but anyone who speaks ill of The Blind Side, simply does not know what they are talking about. Period. 

  Review: The Blind Side (warning, some spoliers)
I was sorta forced into watching this movie while visiting a friend, and I was totally caught off-guard by what a moving picture it was - driven home by the fact it is actually a true story, not a feel-good figment of someones imagination. This story revolves around Micheal Oher a poor kid born into terrible life circumstances, absent father, drugged-out mother and siblings he doesn't even know about or see. Even though he's physically huge, his athletic skills catches the eye of a coach of an american football team of a really really nice prep school of all caucasian rich kids. He gets in through a scholarship and has a hard time adjusting to his new surroundings.

Sandra Bullock was simply[b] fantastic[/b], I think her best role ever. She plays Leigh Anne Tuohy the mother of two children (girl and boy) in the school who sees Mike walking late one night, questions him in such a typical mother-like fashion and realizes that Mike is actually homeless. She invites him to stay with them for the night. They wake up in the morning not sure what to expect from a stranger in their home, but Mike has cleaned up the couch and folded the blankets neatly where he slept and had already left the house. She chases him down and . . . the family grows to love Mike and Leigh Anne who has an extensive knowledge of football helps him develop his skills and he becomes a national sensation.

  There is not one, I repeat one single weak character or weak moment in this entire movie. You will be arrested from start to finish. From the main actors to the ghetto thugs to the NCAA mean lady - they are all very strong and real. I would be at fault not to mention the Tuohy's were simply flawless - esp the little boy, I mean he was incredible. He next to Sandra Bullock gave the best performance. Overall, I rate this movie 97% and highly recommend it. It induced several tearful moments from me, so moving. I will root for this flick all day over Avatar and maybe even D9 for best picture.

So I'm watching msnbc (yes democrats, I watch msnbc), Chris Mathews is interviewing Howard Dean and they're discussing healthcare. Their conversation slowly fades to the background of my mind as I notice Dean's shirt is almost a full size too small and his collar is basically choking his neck and his wrinkly old skin is spilling over the tight collar in an unsightly fashion. He's wearing a horrid red tie, with white moons scattered all over it and the knot is too tight and is crooked to the side.

The camera switches to Chris Mathews. He's no better. He has more wrinkly neck skin hanging over the side of his neck. He's wearing a red pokerdot tie that doesn't match the stripped off-white shirt that looks like it didn't get enough bleach the last time it was washed.

I started thinking . . .

   99.9% of women on TV who anchor news shows are attractive, sometimes very (esp on foxnews, its disgusting atimes how "sexy" they dress). But I cannot think of 1 single man on tv news who is as attractive as the females. Chris Mathews? zero, Bill Oreilly? zero, Wolf Blitzer? zero. Maybe only Anderson Cooper has some zing, but word is the guy is gay so zero for him.

Why are we women subjected to watching toads and frogs on our daily news while the men get serious eye candy? This is unfair! and until this unjust issue is addressed, ladies let us boycott news shows with toads as hosts

^^ Yep Ricky Gervais it was and my gurl Jennifer Garner. The movie is cool. The world evolves to a state were its[b] impossible [/b] for anyone to tell a lie, ever. So everyone tells the truth, you know exactly how everyone feels, a guy shows up for a blind date and the girl says right away "oh gosh, you look horrible, I can't wait for this date to be over, I definitely won't be going on a second date with you"  etc . . . Ricky's character (a fat, unsuccessful writer) suddenly discovers that he is the only man who can lie and he uses it to his advantage. I really enjoyed it. Ya'll should check out . . .

  It was a cool flick in a unique way. While its not an overly ______ movie, it has a  very strong message and the strong characters. Its a little drab attimes but does enough to keep you interested in what's going to happen next. I enjoyed it. Infact when I went to see it, the entire theatre erupted in applause at the end (I didn't think it was that incredible but hey  lol). I rate 80%.

^^ and they've already killed off the guy self he's one badazz bad guy. I wish they kept him around longer and axed that loser Hastings instead.

In other NBA news, I'm really impressed by the Nuggets. I think they finally have that confidence that they can beat any team in the league and they have beat all the top contenders - Cav, La, Bos etc this year already.

And who saw the Oklahoma City Thunder crashing the league this year with a current 9 game win streak and overall 33-21 record, 5th in the west    I am slowly becoming a believer.

I counted more than a few who were interviewed here on local tv, lifelong democrats who were for the first time voting republican.

So don't fool yourself into thinking the dems don't have good reason to be afraid the base is upset and will retaliate by voting against them.

While the kid was cute and all, I found him to be extremely irritating and annoying. At one point I almost turned it off. And how could the adventurer guy that disappeared when they were kids, still be an old man when the kids themselves have grown old? maybe I'm thinking too much

JK, I thought LT wasn't that bad lol . . . I agree the madness of Samuel L was a bit exaggerated and hence somewhat unbelieveable but overall it was just okay. You should see Invention of Lying, that movie was much funnier than I anticipated.
