Foreign AffairsRe: Republican Racism In Disguise by JeSoul(f): 3:33pm On Feb 05, 2010
montelik:
What does race have to do with opposing some ones policies or politics. When republicans and the public opposed the effort by the Clintons to make big changes to health care system in '93 was racism at play then. But now that the same thing is happening with a black president it is racism. When Democrats turned on Bush after the failures in Iraq, was it racism. But now that Republicans are hitting Obama hard on perceived failures it is racist. Come on, politics is sometimes a petty and destructive exercise. For any claims of racism to substantiated one needs real evidence, not supposition and innuendo. Republicans were just as hard on Clinton who was as white as they come. By such silly standards Democratic criticisms of former Secretary of State Condolezza Rice must no doubt have been rooted in racism as well, not to mention criticisms on the likes of Gonzalez, John Yoo, Clarence Thomas and co.
Gbam left, right and center. Sometimes one just has to wonder about the "high" quality of the kool-aid obamabots are drinking to be subscribing to these kinds of ridiculous positions.

I voted for Brown so therefore I must be a racist. If that is the new definition of racism then I am very guilty.
Its always not entirely correct to compare players from different generations in any sport. Its not exclusive to tennis.
Sampras and co would argue they were not afforded the luxury of modern state-of-the-art training facilities, not forgetting technology (Hawk-Eye)
This is very very true.

chic2pimp:
I beg to differ. Bar Nadal, this generation has produced only good players not great ones.
I agree in general this newer era has not produced competition like in previous ones, but I don't think the distinction is a damming one, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Would you say this generation of golfers sucks because Woods has dominated? or is it for the most part an indication of the greatness of Woods? If he were lesser, they would in turn be "greater" and I think its the same with Federer and his generation. It's not a one way street and neither is it completely 2way either.

True TA is not the reincarnation of Paul Pierce but 4/5 seasons ago when Pierce was out for more than half the season, TA was our #1 guy and he filled the role remarkably well enough to garner some attention around the league . . . until he blew out his knee (the first of 2times) and hasn't really come back till this year.

He has the athleticism and attitude, he can be a solid starter - not a superstar - but a solid player.

Yar’Adua: Zamfara recruits 1,767 prayer warriors •Pays them N10,000 each

Written by Muhammed Sabiu
ZAMFARA State government has recruited 1,767 Islamic clerics to pray for the quick recovery of President Umaru Yar’Adua.
Disclosing this at the 481- week Friday preaching in Gusau, the state governor, Alhaji Mahmud Aliyu Shinkafi, said the Islamic clerics would lead the special prayers in the 1,767 Friday Juma’at mosques across the state.

The state, according to Nigerian Tribune findings, will spend about N17.6 million on the prayers as each of the cleric will go home with N10,000 for the service rendered.

I think this trade would help y'all a lot i really do. K-Mart is way younger, averages 22pts a night (is a more versatile scorer and doesn't live and die in the perimeter) and 4 rebounds which isn't too shabby and at 6-7 he is quite tall for a guard, if y'all teach him D he should match up well with Jamal Crawford (Celtic killer) Joe Johnson, Vince Carter, Delonte West e.t.c also there would be less reliance on Paul Pierce down the stretch
Ainge laughed off Ray Allen trade rumors yesterday saying management is not going to panic. I kind of agree with him, but something tells me, this squad will not be 100% come playoffs and we will need help to make it to the finals.

P.S: What is wrong with Josh Howard? As a member of the much vaunted draft of 03 He was supposed to be our answer to Lebron, D.Wade, Melo, Bosh e.t.c guess he'll never get there cos he is almost 30 already
Blame it on the weed grin it hasn't allowed him to think straight and put his mind and heart into the game. I know he's had injuries but still, the guy is playing below his potential.

They should just bubble wrap all the awards, label them AVATAR and send them to James Cameron.

Rondo has outshone him so far i dunno who retrogressed more this season! Him or Jameer Nelson

The proposed trade would extremely favor the Celts! K.Martin is a talented scorer and Nocioni is versatile and would improve bench pts a lot
Its clear the Celts may need to make a move if they intend to go all the way to another championship and Ray seems to be the sacrificial lamb right now. Thing is shooters like him are streaky, when they're good, they're very good, but when they stink, they really stink. And since he cannot really offer anything else besides offense it makes him a serious liability. It'll be bitter sweet if he gets traded, I like that sucker.

The Sixers are one of the dumbest franchises ever! They refuse to give Andre Miller 8mil but can pay Elton Brand 16mil despite the fact that he has not been a factor. They should be trying to offload Brand and not Dalembert.
I would be trying to get rid of Dalembert too. The dude is a cancer and does not understand the concept of how a team is supposed to work. Talent will only get you so far, see AI.

I wonder how Iran will react? Support more attacks on Israel I guess or come out with some outlandish statement again. Or launch some half baked "long range" missiles.

They clearly have nothing in their Arsenal that can take on what the US have deployed. In other words, they have nothing that can show a physical show of force and presence.
Iran is a wannabe bully. Which is why they are working 24/7 with every resource to join the nuclear race.

I like this move from Obama. All that diplomacy was sorely misplaced Ahmedinejad. Enough of attempting to appease bloodthirsty goons with milk. This is the kind of language they understand.
