sheniqua:lol, not that I have seen, but even if I do see it I'm sure it will taste like cardboard - just like all those 2% percent nonsense milk they sell here. Portion control sista, portion control. It's all about moderation. |
sheniqua:what a list! is it not mama sunday's buka all those pot bellies go to chop and end up fat? Me I think if you cook it urself and control what you put in and cut out, thou shalt be fine. |
TOH:it is way healthier than the macdonalds menu. Plus it all depends on portion size and using less fatty/sodium filled ingredients or regulating amounts such as half a teaspoon of salt instead of a full one etc. . .it is possible to eat healthy since you're the one cooking the food! |
lol. . . for real the only thing them sabi na burger, mac & cheese and mashed potatoes. ![]() but why not learn how to cook nigerian/african food so that you can chop correct? instead of american food which is usually very unhealthy and tasteless. I especially hate the way they add so much sugar to dishes to give it "taste" becos they don't know how to use spices. anyways recipies are aplenty online and even here on Nairaland, it's real easy to cook for yourself and cheaper and healthier too. |
@doyin That Boston and Pistons series is something else the Eastern Conference is almost like the Serie A too much emphasis on D.I trust these Lakers though they would be up for revenger against whoever they face.
and that is why the title will come to the East Coast this yr! Be it Motown or Beantown. If the west boys do not step up n play grind out D like this, they will not have any chance. |
doyin13:I agree it was a foul but Barry did not sell it enuff at all. He shoulda jumped straight up into Fisher instead of moving to the side- that was boneheaded. By the way folks, you 'd better enjoy the Western Conference finals. It will get so much worse in the NBA finalsif the Eastern Conference series is anything to go by.hehe you already know it. It will be a griiiinnnnd. |
the laker bench is full of hustlers, they go die for court if its neccessary just one more win, im still scared, u know its spurs, i can't believe we are 3-1 up,
and I trust they'll make game 6 very intresting. . . that's been their problem though - inconsistency. Ginobili has 5 pts one night, then 30, then back to single digits. They'll need ALL their stars to have a big nights and play perfect defense in order to have any hopes of coming back from 1-3 |
@Je-Soul I don't mind babes .Finally yall won on the road but its tied now you guys are favorites for tonights game but it can still go anywhere.Stephen.A.Smith is good he says Kobe is the best player on the planet and i agree intoto unfortunately i don't listen to Barkley's predictions anymore he is always wrong
yeah you shoulda seen me grinning with pride after the game 3 victory on the road . . . and last night was a squeak thru. Phew. The Celtics showed their playoff "rookiness" by losing the lead and the Pistons showed their maturity and experience by coming back to make it tight - thank God we held on to win.And how about Ray Allen! I think we can now take him off the back of the milk carton - he has been found! that was a great game for him - hope this lasts the rest of the playoffs. |
@Je-Soul Lol i guess i don't need it.My pimpinship so hot it need censorship .
Lol. . .we might have to put you to the test one of these days. What went wrong last night? Go and sue Stephen.A.Smith at ESPN the guy actually predicted you guys would lose.No worries honey, the men in green will strike back in motown . I am putting my chips on "big baby" Davis to be a suprise player and I think Allen will finally have that big game - its on baby, its on! lol.I love Stephen A. he's so outspoken and goes right to the point. n Yea he's usually on point in his analysis and predictions BUT I will make sure to tell him if I ever meet him - he (& Barkley) predicted the Lakers would not make the playoffs this season ![]() off topic: Have yourself a nice, long memorial weekend. |
@Je-soul Thanks for the tip lol .I will put that in my player book
you don't sound like you need it ![]()
we talkin ball or what, lol how y'all been? hope j-girl is not too down, don't worry we'll revenge for the hornets kobe woke up late but still made it happen, spurs are sooooooooooogood.
yeah lets talk ball for sure So you're picking the Lakers too? I don't like the way the players are always waiting for kobe to rise up and save the day, they simply pull back and depend on kobe to save them. . . can't they also show their worth and step up too? what if kobe's back acts up again who's going to be their superman? |
SeanT21:wow that's serious I shall try not to make too much fun of you from here on ![]() Celtics tied with Detroit 1-1 ![]() Now they must win on the road. Well the bright side is if they do win they'll no longer be "undeserving players" As for the Spurs I'm not betting against them just yet. Lets not forget they suffered 20point losses at NO in the first 2 games. |
Really so you don't like ruffneck dudes? Lol
nah I likes me a GQ man. ![]() Thugs and 'soljas' who feel they need to prove their manhood with rascal behavior get "F"s in my book. |
The Lakers won yesterday.Thank Goodness although it was narrow, man Kobem was on point with 27 and he has to be if the Lakers are going to make it to the final @Je-soul Even if Gasol is bullied i am sure Lamar Odom would come to his rescue
LOL. . . indeed. Odom can be a real thug sometimes. . . a quality I don't find very attractive ![]() |
SeanT21:girl you already know it! It's almost like a religion out here- you convert to Patriotism/Redsoxism/Celticism. I wasn't really into it the first couple of years but after a while it kinda grows on you. Boston and NY are rival cities in everything. BUT you hafta know to control it. . . if the Celtics win I will sleep well, if they lose I will still sleep well. For me its just fun and games, I never take it seriously like some of those fanatics spending 1000's on tickets and staying up late and buying jerseys and running outside like mad people like they just won the lottery etc nah not for me I'll be the first to admit some of the fans in boston are just straight up insane - but its mostly Redsox fans though. Someone paid over $20,000 for a playoff ticket last yr what kind of stupidity is that? |
geez Doyin, which rock did you just crawl out from under? Lest NLd'ers suspect me, I am innocent of any and all charges ![]() common sweetie, you shoulda gotten over all this animosity towards Boston by now did not that little R&R alone time do you no good? we are really warm, nice and caring people down here doyin13:ROTFL. . .wow so much hate, so much anger . . . wannah talk about it? |
naijaking1:You could not have hit the nail more squarely on the head. I was thinking the exact same thing when I read the article. Cos here in Boston there really isn't a significant Nigerian population. I work in Science/Biotech so I can say right off the top Nigerians are def not many here at all! But still why can't we take a lil bit of joy in this post? We have enuff bad press about naija everyday. Let us not criticize everything |
how nice, Kobe bought his entire team watches for helping him win the MVP award. . . hmmm I might start to like him now unless he bribes me with one too I am rooting for the Spurs ![]() Temp & Lasie you guys are going down down down, unless Gasol grows some muscle in the next few hrs he's going to be bullied like in the last series lol. . . |
nazzyon:yes I will be offended but will not call for "severest of punishment" It is simple the guy was out of line and it called for a capital punishment. As for the Iraqi's and the Followers of God Amighty (Muslimin) all over the world, they are showing how they handle their religion and proving that they won't acknowledge any body out to taunt their religion. So you're saying everyyone must "respect" and "acknowedge" their religion or else? Ever heard of freedom of speech and religion? If the guy remains in Iraq, he may not live to see today.again are you saying the soldier deserves to be killed for that? *shaking my head* |
But the rest of baseball is fine. . . the yankees suck and the Red sox have the best record in the league - the world could not be spinnin better . |
hehe 1 game down, 3 more to go. ![]() J-girl,
LOL - no offence to JeSoul and everyone one else - this is my bitterness talking.
lol. . . none taken at all, I would be bitter too A-40, who are you rooting for in the NBA finals? He's rooting for the Celtics, right brotha? ![]()
@Je-soul Yeah sometimes those Senators can really be a jobless bunch but i agree this case has to be totally investigated i mean place yourself in the losing sides shoes especially the Rams.Whats the latest with Roger Clemens? i heard Barry Bonds is facing jailtime if proven guilty thank God i don't watch baseball
But the thing is it has already been investigated! There're trying to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq when there are none. Heard again last night Roger Goodell said he's not going to further any more 'investigations'. Good for him I say. People are just trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. I'd rather mr Senator worry about why I'm paying almost $4 for a gallon of gas. And I hear you about how the losing sides might feel. . .but common we're looking at this as if the Pats had some great advantage. Taping in the NFL is allowed! just not from the sidelines which is what the pats did, big deal I say. That is not the reason those teams lost and the Pats won. Roger Clemens just continues to shame himself and prove he's a liar. You musta heard about his "apology" to his family for "mistakes" which were basically him cheating on his wife. It looks like he has to drop his defamation suit against Mcnamee cos his rep is ruined as it's now been proven he's a liar. I dunno why he won't just come out and confess and set himself free. ![]() |
Gamine where have you been? Also is bhf your magazine? |
Freelance, I checked out your blog and forum and both are cool . do you have a myspace page? also do you have banners made up that people can post the codes on their blogs/sites to advertise? lemme know cos I'd like one. |
LASIEFAIRE:lol . . . it even sounds good to me too, I like the guy . The NFL has investigated and investigated and have said there is nuthin more to it. We all know Roger Goodell is a tough leader and takes things serious and he himself has said he is satisfied and there's nuthin more. And then for some bored, overfed, jobless senator to try to create a conspiracy where there's none at taxpayers expense that's what annoys me.If Sen Spector wants to conduct an investigation from his own pocket, by all means, let him carry on. But there's no justification for a fishing expedition just becos "he is not satisfied". |
@Je-soul Btw how do you feel now that the whole Spygate stuff is over with?
over with ke? did you hear Sen. Spector just couple days ago calling for "an independent investigation" into the tapes from the former Pats video guy? I tell you these Senators have nuthin better to do than to chase after the wind and waste taxpayer money. I'm all for policing sports sometimes when it is necessary but this is just beating a dead horse, at our expense.Anyways,
@Je-soul Naah i am not but i don't think you deserve the ring if you don't win on the road. And trust me you guys will not win this championship if you don't win on the road, because championship teams always close out games on the road.
hate to admit it but you're right maybe we'll make history as the only team to not win a road game and win the title wishful thinking, I know. I do love teams and players that have that killer instinct, those that will lay it all out on the floor whether they win or lose. As much as I love Garnet he doesn't have it, that aggressiveness. The first 2-rds have def been eye-openers, for the Celtics and even for the city of Boston. We were already salivating for an nba title and I was already making plans to skip work and attend the parade when they won I know I was getting waaaaayyyy ahead of myself there. But I'm singing with George Micheal "I gotta have faith, faith, faitha!" ![]() |
LASIEFAIRE:my brotha there are very few things the western world does that does not incur the wrath and anger of these people. Perhaps for the sake of peace the soldier should not have done it, but for military to pull him out and send him home was too harsh. After he had gone to Iraq to fight for his country, risking his life, this is how he gets thanked? The punishment exceeds the "crime" by far. |
