This is no longer a case of mere smuggling but knowingly giving poisonous food not fit for human consumption. How on earth is this chicken frozen while driven exposed to temperatures of over 40 degrees Celsius for a very prolonged time. I can guess that they have been on the road for hours. Most of this so called frozen chicken is not frozen at all but embalmed with chemicals use to preserve human corpses. They use formalin, a chemical used to embalm corpses and other dangerous substances, to preserve the poultry products, it is a cancer-causing chemical also capable of causing liver and kidney diseases. Apart from the fact these imported chickens are not really frozen they are the rejects of the western world, often chickens that have been so chemically induced for egg production that they do not even meet the west standards for dog food. People please think I know things are hard but why would you eat food that the west even condemn for their animals. We must start thinking of the long term effects on our bodies and women think of the children you will give birth to after eating all these chickens loaded with chemicals.

Very great write up.. as one of the biggest pig farms in Nigeria (BTW we also rear chickens, cows, ducks etc) and been in operation for over 5 years Jessam Cattle Ranch & Farms has found that adding value tot the production value chain has been so challenging in Nigeria, As the CP has said the higher up the chin you go the greater the economic value of the farm product or the component of the farm produce. The problem is that in order to go up the value chain you need key infrastructure. Jessam and most other mechanized farms have found that lack of consistent electricity in particular in the farm has made it impossible for us to preserve our farm produce, be it butchered animals or fresh vegetables, without electricity we cannot add value to our products. We would love to slaughter 100 pigs a day, keep them refrigerated and ready to be processed to sausages, bacon, ham, meat pies etc how do we do this without out constant electricity.Even the finished product has to be stored for a couple of weeks in refrigerated store rooms before it gets to the consumer

Bad roads - Without good roads it is literally impossible to embark on processing our produce on a large scale, we need good motorable roads to move livestock and produce from farm to factory, from factory to warehouses over the nation, from warehouse to shops and markets. Unfortunately the roads are so bad and the cost of transportation and damage to vehicles, extended journey times simply erode any gains in moving up the value chain. This is one of the reasons importation of finished goods is more attractive than going the nigerian farm to market route. The importer benefits from the good roads in say Europe to the ship from ship to the port and into Lagos to market so much cheaper and easier.

Security - need I SAY MORE...we all the challenges facing farmers from theft on the actual farms, theft on the highways, thugs extorting lorries on the highways of Nigeria, stealing in factories etc

Nigeria workers mentality - I am sorry to say that many given a job higher up the value chin often see it as a blessing to enrich themselves at the expense of the continued success of the company

add in government policies such as lack of supporting policies to grow the sectors higher up the chain then you realize the reasons why it is so challenging for most mechanised farms to add value on a large scale basis

Nursing offers a great opportunity for people with law and banking degrees, as you build your career in nursing along the way you might get the opportunity to seek out carving out a legal career (not barrister in court) . It is clear to see that Arik is a struggling company, Arik would have long suffered a serious incident in the last 9 months if it were not part of IATA. IATA has many roles including that airline operators follow strict maintenance programs. I believe Ariks problems lay in the inefficient execution of maintenance issues because of lack of finance and foreign exchange. Arik was likely being bank rolled by PDP top brass, whom are no longer in power and therefore not getting the free subsidies from the federal Government. Jessam staff no longer fly Arik because if its continuous delays and cancellations of flights, despite Arik following IATA strict maintenance program we believe that there are serious issues going on in the background and believe that unfortunately the risk is to great to continue using them. We are truly are not serious if we want to diversify our economy be it farm produce or manufactured goods if the road networks are like this, I have not even mentioned the issue of poor electricity, multiple taxes, etc. NIGERIA GET SERIOUS, YOU CAN DO IT.... WAKE UP FROM YOUR SLUMBER.

Reduce corruption by 80% watch Nigeria flourish - more inward investment, more jobs, better roads, electricity and better education. Nigeria needs to unshackle itself from corruption. Look at how much National debt USA has.
Look at how much $ USA loses to remittances to every nation on earth.

How is Nigeria's National debt even a real issue other than another misdirection away from the real matter of lacking the necessary local self sufficiency ,secure/safe nation and keeping corruption under reasonable control. ? Nigeria can even benefit from going into greater debt so long as the focus is to spend on growing local productivity to sustainably fill the holes perpetuating so much debt. Debt is not the problem, foreign investors will ignore debt and come if the production and commerce atmosphere is set for investment. Stability of infrastructure and energy is the key. That stabilty rests on Safety/security, self sufficient electricity and fuel supply for the entire nation, and a business and governance atmosphere that isn't strangled by corruption at every corner of activity.
Nigerias problem is still the same.. Corruption, bad energy sector and security. I beg, USA debt is more than Nigeria's entire GDP yet still USA economy is strong and is very attractive to the entire world for investment or spending.

One thing I have noticed that also need changing is the lazy attitude of most Nigerian men. Men step up to the plate, work hard put in real man hours. Nigeria has one of the worst cases of laziness amongst men. We really need to rethink what is classed as productive work. Do you think Nigerian men work as hard and are as disciplined as say Japanese men, American men, European men. We need to look deeper into this issue because I strongly believe we have a problem here that has not been addressed. We need to see how hard are competitors are working and see where we stand. I would appreciate responses from grown folks please.

Why do you choose to slander the character of an individual without proof or any documented evidence. I saw your post and saw it fit to respond to your allegations, I am UK based property developer who has engaged the services of Moore Design aka segcymoore and I can frankly say your allegations are totally wrong and unfounded. I have found him professional, straight forward, respects time, plans and sticks to budgets, takes pride in the quality of his work. I had shadowed him for over 2 years before I engaged his services. It is unfortunate for whatever reason you have chosen to make these false claims.
