I have tried formating my phone still the same result, I tried editing the IMEI, but can't edit. I have done everything possible yet is not working. I can only browse with it but I can't make or receive calls, I can't even send or receive text.

But if I put d Sim in another phone I can call and text.

I apologize for this, it is best if you take the device to a technician who would help in adding the IMEI via the engineering mode. The device rooting wiped off the IMEI from the device.

HOW MTN ROBBED ME OF MY HARD EARNED N8000
My name is Kenneth. My MTN modem number is 08035693266. I am sad not because of the money but because I never thought I could ever get robbed by MTN and even if I will be robbed, not in the manner this happened, because mehn it was just too wicked. On the 3rd of February 2016 I subscribed for 7.5 G MTN internet data plan and 8000 naira was deducted from my account. 8000 naira is no small money mehn.

I browsed for just one day and the next day I received a message that I have no active data plan. I called 180 for more than 5 times and I was linked to customer care reps in charge of data each time I called and they all confirmed that I actually subscribed for 8000 naira data plan but that something was wronged with there network and promised that in some days time I will start browsing again but it is almost 2 months now and this issue is not resolved. Is MTN now into 419 , robbing subscribers of their hard earned money ? Will my 8000 naira data plan just go like that?

To the OP, I thought it was only me, going through this deduction from mtn.

I have called customer care so many a time, but they can't just fix it. Funny and annoying at the same time, I am not subscribed to any services, hidden or known by me or the customer care guys.

I have allowed them eat the little balance I had, but no more recharging my line, till they sort this out.

Please, i want to know if there's any solution to the issues i'm having, or if there's anyone who's also experiencing what i'm facing in the hands of MTN.. For the Past two months, i've noticed that whenever i recharge my phone and didn't make use of my airtime before the next day, mtn will sweep it off. It started on 24th of January 2016. A recharge card of 750 was sent to me by my sis. I loaded it & only called her back to thank her. It wasn't upto 30seconds. And the following mornning, i tried to call only for me to hear ''your call credit has been exhausted'' i was amazed & quickly checked my balance. & i was stunned to see #0:00. To cut it short, this has been going on continuously. The worse is i've tried calling customer care. When ever they pick my call, they'll ask me to wait to be attended to. And after sometime, the line would go off. And when i should call back, they won't take my call. Please, this is getting unbearable because even with my monthly Subscribtion, they still always steal my credits.
I need your Advises please.

There is currently no voice message service, kindly provide the code that sent the message to you. The code to listen to voicemail is 100.

I was fortunate to get a code which one could use to deactivate all subscription on MTN from nairaland like 3weeks ago. I immediately cleaned my sim from all unnecessary sub and advert. But ever since then, mtn still deducts atleast #150 from my account every week. When i called their customer care this morning to complain,he said the deduction was for weekly music bla bla which i never subsribed to. Could it be that mtn is deliberately subscribing customers to their packages in order to deduct money? Please help

Hi.. Please I tried to subscribe For BBMIDID today and all I was getting was "Hi, your activation to BB10 MIDI Daily is failed... No matter what I do, I get that message yet I tried the code on another Sim with no credit but got insufficient balance..
