What Mighty can an baby do,
When his first day is Sunny Blue,
and night of a full moon,
What Magnificent View,
That gives him rests and clue
of the world he's born into.

What joy does an Infant Gives?
Is it his smile of Relief,
or his breath, indicating that he lives,
Or maybe his Belief?
who knows what he feels.

What is the dream of a boy,
who is nearly nine,
hoping to grow fine,
and someday would be Vine.
How gracefully define,
that makes him humble and kind,
if it is,then he will own a Mine.

What Nightmare does he has,
Is it of dwalf and axe,
that makes him prayerful and asks,
after sunday mass.
Is it of witches and brooms,
that makes him steadfast in prayer,
It it of Tribulations and tourments
that makes him meditates,
if it is, then he will conquer.

Whats does a Teenager Think,
that makes him sober and calm,
Is it his ambitious thoughts,
or the future predictions on his Palm.
Is it the feelings from his Manhood,
that makes him reserve,
HOW awfull it must be for "MANHOOD".
Why is he affected by Womanhood,
is it the large size of her breast,
or her cologne that brings out her best,
and Taunts every other odour to rest.
Is it her Elegant looks,
that makes her miss universe.
If it is, his heart will be Broken.

Literature / My Sober Reflection By Babajide Ikuyajolu by jidesp(m): 10:53am On Nov 03, 2016
The lavish life of a Nigerian liability begins with a contemporary lifestyle too extravagant to contend with, an attitude embedded deep within the mind, only visible when excited perhaps tempted. The orientation that was supposed to be our guide is dissolved by the inhospitable administration of our government. Now we dream even in daylight, hoping that one day this misconception would be reversed perhaps to a better state.

This period, I grieve, and I'm taking a moment to think before I continue to write the agony I feel for the disoriented Nigerian youth.

The Nigerian youth are left with the crumbs of corruption that fell from the tables above them, it lingers in their heart, mind, causing an epidemic that mutates their perception but only a few are able to embrace this cruelty and desire change. The effects of this action now reflect in the attitude of our youth, low regard for opportunities and no value for information. Our course of livelihood now depends on deception and prostitution because the urge to have money at all cost never cease to grow root in our minds. This boomerang continues to manipulate their minds, leaving them subliminal to the decay of our environment. Now new generations that emanates are a year better fraud than the next.

Economic indicators coupled with unabated corruption in the country do not flash signs of a healthy environment with the resources to fulfill the president’s promises. The most reasonable thing now is to keep Nigerians abreast of the challenges and tackle them. Anything else is deceit. (AllAfrica.com)

WHY?
The “18 years old” consideration makes no impression in Nigeria, no benefits, unfavorable salary plan, unemployment, unwanted pregnancies, poverty etc. The essential obligation of the Government to the people are been ignored, enrolling most youths to focus on any means of survival and while the government lack a proper agenda to care for the children of inexperienced mothers, the street becomes an open play ground initially, but later turns streets for bloodshed and canny thieves.
The only Higher council our youth seek and be contented is to HOPE and have FAITH in God, although this seems an unrealistic resolution but our leaders left us no choice.

The stories of Nigerian legends are erased because the dead may yet be vindicated; now our motivated history hung on a book shelf where it may never see the light of day. While the westerners pick our stories bit-by-bit to put together our shattered pieces, the broken sons & daughters of Nigeria have grown without knowing the true story of our independence only to be left with a canny heart. The reference that inspires our misguided orientation drives us to an uncertain twist.

As long as our leaders continue to raise the bar, our youth will continue to be a liability, where none will be interested in being the leader of tomorrow, but the destruction of tomorrow.

What a Sober Reflection.

Politics / Mimiko Lauds Medical Practitioner’s Free Health Services by jidesp(m): 10:34pm On Sep 01, 2016
One of those things that mostly make Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State happy is seeing people whose vision and mission are the same as his own.

This revelation was unveiled at Ilutitun in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State at the weekend by the state Commissioner for Health, Dr. Dayo Adeyanju.

Adeyanju who was represented by the Permanent Secretary in his ministry, Dr. Richard Adesoji, during the flag off ceremony of 3-day free surgery workshop and seminar, added that the best way to partner with government is to complement its efforts.

He therefore called on other Ikale people out there who have the resources to share the ideology of the present administration in the state, as the assuring that the government will not hesitate to partner with any NGO that is willing to embark on one developmental project or the other.

Adeyanju lauded effort of the sponsor of the programme, Dr. Paul Jesuyajolu.

Jesuyajolu is the Secretary-General of Association of Rural Surgical Practitioners of Nigeria (ARSPON) and founder of Graceland Hernia Foundation (GHE).

The 3 day free surgery workshop and seminar which is the third edition, is a collaboration effort between ARSPON and GHE.

Dr. Jesuyajolu who betrayed emotion and sobbed intermittently while expressing his sympathy on the plight of the rural dwellers said their survival was the main purpose of embarking on the project some years ago.

It is his hope to continue to cater for the healthy living of the people in the rural areas of Ondo State which he has started from Okitipupa Local Government Area of the State.

Many Ikale leaders who attended the flag-off and praise Dr. Jesuyajolu included Chief Sola Jesuyajolu, Oba Gabriel Faduyile, the Abodi of Ikale, Oba Michael Adetoye, the Jegun of Idepe, Oba Festus Olumoyegun, the Oniju of Iju Odo and the host monarch, Oba Ernest Idepefo the Majuwa of Moribodo – Ilutitun and Evangelist Niyi Pirisola.

According to the Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Pastor Larry Ogunmusire, God is using the sponsor of the programme to better the lot of the people.

“You have been chosen by God to make your people happy, we are ready to partner with you. Please do not relent on your efforts,” he appealed.

In his speech, the Lord Bishop of Diocese on the Coast, Anglican Communion, Right Revered Joshua Ogunele applauded the initiative of Dr. Jesuyajolu, calling on other people to emulate him.

Ogunele called on the beneficiaries of the programme to offer thanksgiving to God because many have helplessly harboured their health challenges for many years and may consequently result into their deaths if God has not sent the sponsor to them.

The Chairman, Moribodo Planning Committee, Venerable Emmanuel Akinboyo thanked God for sending Jesuyajolu and members of the team of surgeons to the people at this time when people can hardly feed, let alone taking care of their health challenges.

Ondo State Commissioner for Agriculture, Pastor Segun Ayerin described the gesture of the sponsor of the programme as very commendable, calling on well meaning Ikale people to collaborate efforts with the state government in its bid to make the place better than ever.

Mr. Ariyo Ogunje, a beneficiary who spoke on behalf of others applauded the Director, Graceland Hernia Foundation, Dr. Jesuyajolu, praying that God would continually bless him.

Physical screening for various ailments, treatment for minor ailments and surgeries were carried out freely as well as drugs freely dispensed to the multitude that turned out for the programme.

Business / Re: I Received N740 Thousand Naira In My Bank Account Instead Of N370 Thousand Naira by jidesp(m): 11:49am On Apr 12, 2016
My advice is to speak to your bank, and then your uncle. He might have been debited twice as well.

Shigoboy:
My uncle who is in UK normally send money direct to my GTBANK through agent, about a month bank I was expecting some money from him which I later received, but to my greatest surprise, I received the alert twice and the amount was doubled, I ignored it hoping it was just an bank alert error, as time goes on, as I was making other transactions with the account extra N370 keeps reflecting, but the issue was the my account was restricted, on getting to bank to know why the restriction I was told I opened the account as a student account and their is a limit to amount I can't receive with it which is 500K and I've received more than that so I was asked to upgrade it to be active, as I write this message I still have the money in my account which I've only withdrawn 10K from it, I'm scared of bank issue, I don't want them to start dragging my boxer, it's a month now, guyz do you think they can still come for this money? I already have a plan for this money, I guess the error is from the agent that did the fund transfer not bank, I'm still wondering if that is my 2016 Promo.

Romance / Re: Lagos Guys Are Becoming Gold Diggers by jidesp(m): 10:29pm On Mar 10, 2016
It doesn't change anything because apparently human being have a dynamic nature. Regardless of the facts that points to the obvious, we still want to believe things can be different. Why do you think its easier when we were younger. I guess it's because we have more to lose now than before and we thought we could recover from anything. When we get older and put ourselves out there its easy for anyone to see us and decide to take advantage of us or get serious.

One thing I would suggest, when you meet a new guy is to frequently let him hang with you and your friends. They would probably notice the odd things you might miss, so if he is the wrong guy for you, your friends would know. Its not an accurate plan but precise enough to get you result

Jadekitana:

Even if u wearing an engagement ring, it doesn't change anything o
Romance / Re: Lagos Guys Are Becoming Gold Diggers by jidesp(m): 7:07pm On Mar 10, 2016
Thanks for sharing this. But honestly, I think we see the signs we just choose to ignore them. Just an honest advice, don't be wit a man who is willing to come to your home, or know how you spend your money perhaps your financial status. Date guys who are interested in being your friends. I know i'm being subjective but the truth is when you put yourself out there as being single and search, all types of weirdo's with crazy oddities come lurking too including the type of guys you mentioned.

ciao

Jadekitana:
I'm quite disappointed seeing the way guys in lagos behave these days! This thread is based on stories i'v heard from friends and my experience as well.

Recently a friend in access bank borrowed her boyfriend 800k to start a business but got the shocking news that her boyfriend of 3years has eloped to UK without a trace.

As a pretty tall lady I get to have a lot of these guys as "toasters" even though i'm not always interested but I always have one or 2 things to add to my smartness. These are the questions an average lagos guy ask these days:

1) where do you live? Island or mainland
Once they hear lekki, oniru, ajah the next question is "do u live alone" if the answer is no, you would instantly see the disappointment but if it's yes, the next question is "when am I visiting, hope u cook well, is it a flat or self-con, I would sleep over o......... undecided you can imagine!

2) where do you work? If they hear kpmg, gtb, acceSs, chevron etc instantly they become available for dating! They discharge any side chick to avoid complications as they wouldn't have to spend a dime on you.

If they hear: sorry i'm an applicant or a company that pays 40k e go be later for that babe

3) Do u have a car? Dude seriously? U wanna be driving my car? I buy fuel with my hard earned money while you park yours and you think i'm gonna release my keys to you to tour round lagos? Have a re-think.

4) what's your net worth? How much do you have in your account? How much do they pay you! Trust me they have other ways to check. I once dated a guy who called his cousin in my company to confirm how much I earn. Next thing he started complaining about low funds, how he needed to get a house bla bla bla. I kicked his ass to the curbs!

5) what do your parents do? Are they retired? Does your dad have companies? How many are you guys? Are u the first daughter(to know if u entitled to properties) how many cars do they have? Does your dad play gulf? Is he a member of polo club? undecided no be only polo club na palmwine drinkers club e dey, rubbish!

Have you been out of the country before?? Yes dude i'v been to Somalia, that's abroad as well undecided

Ladies who have no experience in relationship matters or those who are blinded by love tend to talk too much and become victims of these scammers. Next thing u hear is baby we must get married this year, I must settle down with you, this is my last bus stop, u are everything I want in a woman, meeeeen u'v got class babe, and the mumu would be blushing and putting his pics on BlackBerry and instagram with #mybooforages

Fast forward 3months later, u start hearing stories like I borrowed the ediot 300k he eloped, he took my 500k and when I asked he threatened to release my nude pictures etc

So these days it's all a game, the smart ones scale through! It not just ladies who do all that, guys have now adopted this new style and a lot get away with it. So y'all should not come here weeping and wailing about ladies, guys now have a degree in gold digging although some just enrolled in the university of gold diggers, others now have masters and phd.
