toshmann: I had this conversation once:
Oyibo man: where are you from
Toshmann: Ohio. And you?
Oyibo man: I'm from Montana, but where are you from originally?
Toshmann: I was born in Nigeria, and where are you from originally?
Oyibo man: so you are nigerian. I was born in Colorado.
Toshmann: no, where are you from originally?
Oyibo man: Colorado
Toshmann: no no no, Colorado originally belongs to the native Americans, where did your ancestors come from?
Oyibo man: o, ok, my maternal grandfather is from portugal while my paternal grandparents are from Bulgaria.
Toshmann: ok, so you are BULGARIAN
Oyibo man: sort of( looking embarrased)
Toshmann: not sort of, that's what you really are( looking mischievous grin )

He has never called me foreigner again grin

PoliticsRe: Northern Senators Meet Over Igbo Domination In Army by jidewin(m): 4:38am On Feb 05, 2013
Built2last: There is one way out of this mess. Take a census of the tribes in the army and publish it for ! Nigerians to see. It will be clear which tribe has dominated the army for over 50 years. When someone arises to right wrongs people will wake to evil agitation. Obj came to power in 1999 and retired many generals and divided the armoury to all regions of Nigeria and they shouted that he was giving preference to Yoruba people.until we accept Merritt as a country, we may continue to be on auto reverse..
Thank you.I thought I was the only one in disbelief at the headline. To the best of my knowledge,People from the northern axis dominate The Nigerian Army and Air Force, while from The Nigerian Navy is more of Southerners. The Nigerian Customs is (or was) also predominantly Middle Belt and towards the Northern sphere. This Sheik must be checked or incarcerated for TREASONABLE FELONY. Making such public utterances.

pato405: ..but what stopped the Nigerian student from answering the question first. I think the provocative way she answered it triggered the outrageous outburst. Typical Nigerian way of answering questions.

Q: Where are you from?

A: what does it matter where I'm from.

the lady from Spain answered directly 'I'm from Spain' she didn't bite her. I think she should have answered first and watched for the psycho woman's reaction. If she passes a compliment about Nigeria, then fine, else ....Maul her silly. I usually look at you directly in the face and tell you outrightly..'I'm from Nigeria', then I'll wait for your reaction. Anyway, they just smile and say Okay or nice.
And who the f...k was she to demand where she came from? Stop making excuses for some broke ass individuals who feels they superior cos of their white skin.is she an immigration officer to be demanding from her where she came from.I am one of those that practises and preaches 'humility' but most definitely not subserviency.why didn't she ask her nicely with a compliment such as "Hello,I love your attire, and where are you from?" That's respectful but when some idiot stands on her hind feet, reeling out orders out of frustration, you got two choices, walk away (which I won't recommend) or stand tall and stare at her menacingly 'why you wanna know'.

Let every Nigerian citizen studying abroad (with tuition paid of course) and those working and paying taxes abroad never accept this type of bullshit. We foreigners pay higher in fees than citizen of the countries we reside, even get paid lower than most other foreign workers.
I won't stand by and let any freaking,self-pride imp use derogatory words at me. It doesn't matter his/her skin color. Look them straight in the eyes and give them back word for word immediately.
She paying tax so fucking what? And how much of tax does she really pay anyway?.
Was she at the grant office begging for freebies...I take pride in my work, faith, skin color and country. Bleep that fuckn english b-i-t-c-h Hope someone get to paste this on english tabloids.*pissed*

Mourners nearly died of shock when a 101-year-old woman sat up and spoke - as she was being put in her coffin.

Peng Xiuhua asked why so many people were in her house in Lianjiang, Guangdong province, China.

Peng, who lived alone, had taken a tumble and hurt herself so her two daughters, who are in their 70s, were looking after her.

However, 10 days later her daughters could not detect a heartbeat and her body had gone stiff so she was declared dead.

The daughters gave her a bath, an undertaker dressed her and they were about to put her in her coffin when she came back to life.

Peng said: “I am a lucky woman.

"Not only did I get to see how many people care for me, but I also woke up before they took me to the crematorium,” she said.

Tolexander: lol!
Nigeria where you see a bike ridder almost being hit by a nissan armanda calling the driver olosi(wretched fellow) who is wretched between them?
A nation where a chelsea fan will say stoke city can't beat 'me' as if he is Abrahimovic.
A country where a couple will collectivety give birth to a child and the husband will say woman, come and carry your child as if he isn't the father.
A society where the husband will be recieving #100 per month with the woman recieving a wage of #1000 per day, and the woman still looking up to the man for the children's school fees, home management allowance and 'owo obe' Without the wife contributing any of her pay.
A community where the religious leader has 4 private jets and the members with no bicycle knowing not what to take for dinner would be told to make a #1000 contribution for the religious leader's birthday party and mum's funeral ceremony.
A club where a #5 stealer is a thief but a $1 billion mismanager is an hero.
A kingdom where a dog will not try to chase a squirel but try to chase the shadow of the flying hawk thinking it will catch the hawk (trying to be metaphorical here with our useless leaders that abandon meaninful/achievable projects to do unachievable ones)
A site where most things done don't affect the price of garri.

Foreign AffairsRe: South African Woman Jailed In Nigeria For Drug Trafficking by jidewin(op): 4:04pm On Jan 27, 2013
panafrican: This is an insult. You arrest this woman on drug issue why protray her as HIV positive ?
This being said, one can ask why is Nigeria publicizing this arrest which is nothing but miscellaneous? First go arrest her nigerian husband before all this hyping because he could well be the kingpin.
So drug trafficking is now MISCELLANEOUS ne??If it were to be a Nigerian Woman caught in SA while trafficking, would you say same? Most media if not all would make it a headline report.

Stating her HEALTH issue is not a portrayal for ridicule, but a basis to ask for leniency in judgement [Naija justice system is know for that. Check the story of two Chinese guys who imported 40 feet container of high grade drug into Nigeria.Rather than accept to be deported back to china (instant death sentence) they pleaded to serve their sentence in naija prison instead]

BTW her naija husband was not the one caught. So far unless there be existing evidence against him,he remains a suspect before law and nothing more.
