You are short just accept it and look for something tall. Baba don't marry anything below 6ft tall. I am 6"3 my girl is 5"2 at all at all my children no fit short dey there. Some could pick the height of the mother and turn out below 160 cm. |

Romance › Re: 5 Guys: Which Should I Choose? Help A Confused Girl by JIREN01: 5:37pm On Aug 03, 2020 |
WomaninherPrime: Good evening house. Kindly read patiently. I promise to be as honest as possible.
I'm a young woman in her mid-20s. I've been in three relationships so far... two were sexual, and one was purely celibate, though it didn't last beyond 6 months.
I recently got out of a 2-yr relationship with Dubem when we discovered our genotype isn't compatible. But the problem is that we're still doing a lot of back and forth. Dubem wants the relationship to continue because he's working on how we'd have our babies via IVF or chorionic villi testing to first determine the sex of the baby.
This has put me in a very confusing situation because I'm unable to move on while he's still holding on for us... and at the same time, I just keep thinking about how life would be a lot easier if I'd just marry a genotype compatible man and have children the regular way without the stress and huge financial cost of an IVF.
To fully move on from Dubem, I started seeing other people..
Nedu is a very great guy... has everything I want in a man, but he's having some financial challenges right now. He's cute, godly, very intelligent, good humour, communicates very well, respectful, sound family values, neat, and seems to me like someone who can take charge of his home. But his financial situation gives me cause for concern... he doesn't seem like he'd be comfortably ready to start a family in another 2/3 years. But that aside, his condition just dampens my enthusiasm to even visit him or start a committed relationship with him. No TV or fridge in his apartment. I feel embarrassed/sorry for him when he has to go watch TV at his friend's or neighbour's... Or I'm thinking of cooking stuff to take to him... but no fridge to store. Joykiller. Or the fact that he can't be a support system to me at the moment...
There's also Victor who comes off as a great guy but I've refused to pay him enough attention all these months because I'm still entangled with Dubem. Victor is doing quite well, and is passionate about his job, but he likes to talk about himself way too much, and seems a bit arrogant. The vibes I get off him is that he tries to be at his best behaviour when he's with me, just to impress, but maybe he's real. While I don't like like him at the moment, I feel if I gave him a chance, I'd see some other aspects of him that would make me love him.
There's Denver on the other hand. Denver is an absolute gentle man... and doing fairly well with his business. I almost said yes to him, but I felt it was coming from the place of pressure. He was putting me under a lot of pressure to say yes... he wants to get married in a minute, but I'm still not resolved on marrying him. Plus he's from a polygamous family, and his plan is for us to live in his disputed family house if/when we get married, and I feel that comes with a lot of drama. Also, he's a bit lackadaisical about his wellbeing. He doesn't seem very tidy. His car always has things strung about. I worry, too about his level of education. He has just a HND and is not in the corporate world whereas I have serious plans to get either a double masters plus lots of certifications or a Ph.D I fear there might be some sort of incompatibility years down the line. Other than these concerns, Denver is a great guy.
Then there's Bright... I've known Bright since I was in uni... he was planning a surprise engagement once, when we weren't even dating. He's the most inconsistent and confused man I've ever met. He's consistent for a aweek or two, then goes off-radar only to resurface again after a few months. But somehow he seems to believe I'm the one who's never agreed to take him seriously. But how do I take a man who's inconsistent seriously? Ideally, he shouldn't be on this list because I long cancelled him... but he called this morning and we had a very long conversation... which was short of him pleading that I calm down and take him seriously so we can move to the next level.
Now the reason I created this thread. I like having a linear focus when I'm in a relationship, but I'm unable to leave Dubem because all these other guys have one issue or the other. No, I'm not looking for a perfect guy. Dubem isn't perfect, but we've come a long way, and we love each other, and we've come to accept and understand each other as we are. I've become impatient... I feel like I'm at the prime of my life as a woman, and I have other suitors to choose from but I'm holding on to a very precarious relationship. Dubem might as well just wake up one day and decide that our genotype incompatibility is a big deal and we should see other people... at that time, one year of my life would have gone by...these great guys would have probably moved on, too. A woman's hotcake period is fleeting. For my personal plans, I'd love to be married by next year.
Ohh. I mentioned the thing about my two sexual relationships because I made a hasty vow to God once that I wouldn't have sex with more than two men before getting married. I don't know ...God is a merciful God, yeah...But that vow still pops up in my mind now and again. So I can't go into any careless relationship, and now I can't choose.
I'm honestly confused . Just forget the IVF man. IVF is easier said than done, and it's a 50-50 thing. Even after several millions spent, it might not work out. |

MrLankeeee: First tell your friend to leave the country The country is not safe for anybody Nothing is proper here.
One reason why I am leaving this country now is because every young boy doing well now is tagged a yahoo boy.
My friend who we trade forex together was arrest because the Nigerian police don’t even know what forex is. The more my friend was explaining the more the policemen kept calling him a yahoo boy. He had to pay them before they let him go. Can u imagine such rubbish.
Oboy if u can leave this country, go to a place where racism isn’t too much. Even in Nigeria there is tribal/religious indifferences.
Now here in Benin City, if u are a yahoo boy u are not safe, if you are doing legit hustle u are not safe. This is similarly of concern to me. They're illiterates and no nothing. If I would be leaving the country, a major reason would be the one you cited. So far your phone gets checked and they see any transaction in dollars, you automatically get tagged a yahoo boy regardless of your explanation. |

Anyway, if he must take up loan to return to school, he should try venturing into a field that is very relevant in Canada, so as to have greater chance of landing great pay in Canada. Return to Nigeria to do what? He already left his high-paying job and have probably cut all financial ties (sold stocks and shares); besides, the shame that accompanies it. It's better persevering to the end from my perspective |

Predstan: A programmer can earn that as a starter. Remember, he has the experience already so hes not an entry level candidate but an experienced one. He's not experienced. Your experience has no relevance so far you're not trained in their system. A professor left here for Canada couple of years ago only to end up driving forklift for a living despite the number of publications. So far you're not trained in their educational system or have any similar working experience in the same, you're only entitled to menial and non-professional jobs. I'm exclusively speaking for Canada. |

Predstan: You haven't experienced the other world, why wont you say that? 5k$ to 500k? You must be joking You definitely haven't experienced the other side going by this. His comparison is in regard to economy. Taxes, bills for heater, gas, utility, and AC, alongside car mortgage would suck 5000$ down to approximately 3000$. You earn in dollars and you pay in dollars over there. Rent is paid per month as well. You apparently do not know how expensive the other side is. I went for an academic conference sometimes last year, got into a barbing saloon only to hear bills of 100$ (equivalent of 27,000+ in naira); I needed no one to tell me before leaving. Do not for once make the mistake of comparison based on figures alone; you'd be shocked. |

AlphaT1: Weldone Rx. The field is great...Int'l NGOs pay more than multinationals I believe....and sometimes the experience from a particular job is worth more than the salary (at entry level).....it is quite difficult getting into those juicy MDAs but not impossible....and as a Rx you'll attain managerial position in about 12 yrs (all things being equal)............Like motivational speakers will say; opportunities meet preparation (an acquired skill), sometimes those juicy MDAs might be looking for a skill that they can't get from Polithiefians' children, and you may just be that fit! ....I applied for a position with one of them and becos govt works like a snail, by the time they shortlisted (after several months) for interview I was busy with a project and couldn't attend....they kept calling me after the interview date had passed... And eventually rescheduled another date for me with all expenses paid (very unusual)......I left the interview with my appointment letter; I guess they did this to prevent me from changing my mind.....I was to resume in a month's time or the offer would lapse (stated boldly on the offer letter) but I resumed after 4 months and nothing happened.... Laughs at the last statement; that's Nigeria for us. Can I send you a mail? I have a few enquiries to make. |

Ignorant them can't use their heads or even ask Google to understand that total earnings doesn't mean that the money is intact — I have been using that money for feeding and other needs. After the incident last night, I upgraded to the Plus plan to keep my earnings private. Now, they think I withdrew all the money at once — I have started hearing their comments. studentofTruth: My brother, if I tell you what I'm facing right now, you won't believe it. The envy, bitterness, rancour, and campaign of calumny is just unbearable.
My advice is to be mindful of where you live. A friend advised me to move to the Island. Though the cost of living is higher over there, I'm considering that seriously. So, live where there are predominantly more people earning above your income!
One more thing, on no occasion should you make your earnings public — even under false accusations of fraud. That's my greatest mistake. I was stupid to think that showing them how I make my money would make them stop. It got worse — they started calling Upwork fraud. Every day, they masturbate over my Upwork profile, checking how my earnings are increasing! I started displaying Upwork profiles of Nigerians who are earning far more, but they don't care. The bitterness is boiling by the day! It has turned to a tribal thing — they now discuss in Yoruba, planning what to do to me.
I know I may get killed at any moment. I hope I make it to Lekki alive! Looool, you are only overthinking. Nobody is killing you at the moment. I appreciate the heads up by the way. |

AlphaT1: As in no single job? Entry level for Rx in the civil service is grade level 10 (i.e 6yrs above BSc). Check the emolument for a GL 10 personnel with NNPC, NIMASA, DPR, content board (NCDMB) and co. ...forget their salary which may be 80k per month, they do this to disguise. Housing allowance 3m plus, furniture above 1m, productivity, leave, medical, 13th month, gas, kerosene, social club, festivity, education etc etc all sorts of allowances amounting to millions. Then there is the lump sum at beginning of the yr, ...DTAs for travels, training allowances.....almost all the children of managerial personnel in these juicy MDAs live and school abroad.....a $2000 salary cannot do this. They have properties all over Nigeria including Lagos Island...... Nice hearing from you sir. Long time. I understand your viewpoint. Like I mentioned, I don't know of any job that can afford to pay me that high for a start in my field; consider enlightening me if there are any. I think the highest payers for young Rx are multinationals Rx companies, of which I'm quite sure they do not earn close to the aforementioned. An older friend of mine (12 yrs experience in sales) willing to switch to contract manufacturing who currently works for Novartis as a manager in the north does not earn that much. Not to linger on how difficult and almost impossible to get into those agencies you mentioned as a commoner, attaining managerial positions in those agencies take several decades. How has been the field sir? |

studentofTruth: I can relate to what you have just said, especially the poverty-induced envy and jealousy. Presently, I live in fears. Since the people around me learned what I earn from my young online business, it's has been about bitterness- and jealousy-induced calumny. I just realized that living among lazy poor people is the most dangerous thing in this world.
I wonder how Linda Ikeji and Instablog coped in their early days.
@Op, with the kind of link you have to Canada, I really wonder what you're doing in Nigeria thinking of federal job — not as if you're even thinking of business. Canada straight! This has been my concern as well. I will be rounding up NYSC in a couple of month's time; few months into service year, I was able to get hold of some relevant info, which spurred me to test the waters of freelancing. Luckily enough for me, I succeeded and have been consistently raking nothing below 1000$ for the past few months; I earned above 2000$ at some point. The problem is living life after NYSC. I studied a medical-related course; however, no job in my field can afford to earn me my current earnings for a start; Heck, I'm even earning salaries of workers in managerial roles of multinationals. Given how primitive minded Nigerians are, especially the elderly civil servants, most of whom grin with envy when they see a young lad living the life. Most of them spent several years in service before they could afford a decent car (corolla sports) and a 3-bedroom flat built on loan, which they end up paying back through their noses for several decades. |
