AutosRe: Why Is Toyota Avalon So Uncommon? by JIREN01(op): 10:50pm On Jan 11, 2021

I will advise you to be patient a little bit. Reason being that prices of cars, especially Japanese cars are on the high side because of the festive period & dollars.

The Toyota Camry (spider/muscle) prices will still drop to 2.4m or 2.3m toks with time. Don't be in a hurry. In addition, the second value of Camry & corolla is high compared to avalon.

Avalon is a luxury salon car & its maintenance is little bit on the high side. But its a good car though.

Don't 4get to take your trusted mechanic along
e get why
Thanks Boss

I have observed it as well and for my little research people always say it has low second hand value and V6 and if the car has i4 option (it could have been more popular) but that still leave out the question:
Why is the car largely unpopular among Nigerians? And to think it's a luxury Toyota product and Nigeria general craze for Toyota
Please, what does i4 option mean?

I intend getting a car very soon with a budget of 2.2-2.3 M max; reason being I don't intend spending a considerable sum on a car for now. Based on enquiries, Toyota Corolla ('04/05) seems to be a good buy; however, I dislike its ubiquitousness in this part of the world. It seems like 3 out of every 8 Nigerian car owners drive a corolla, which is quite understandable because of its ruggedness to plough and withstand the rigours of Nigerian roads and its fuel efficiency. This is more reason I've being considering a close alternative; I heard Hyundai products are enjoyed best when bought new from the factory, and I no fit drop roughly 15,000 dollars on top car. Toyota Camry (muscle) seems to be on the high side (2.8-3 M) judging from the prices on Jiji. Can anyone please provide some tips as to the strength and weaknesses of the Toyota Avalon?

If you have never left the shore of Nigeria, you can never understand why people relocate. I used to be a core patriotic Nigerian and most people were shocked after I relocated. People relocate just to regain sanity. The truth about Canada is, no matter how 'lazy' you are, there is something for you. Heck you don't even pay for education if you come in as permanent resident. You get a grant instead. Education is free for kids till end of high school. You get well compensated for your skills. I have a whole lots of reasons but cant possibly say it all. Be wise and Japa if you can. I still love my country. I want a brighter future for my kids though.
You pay for education even as a citizen bro.

Good morning guys! I've been following this thread for a while, my first post here actually.... I've gone through a couple of things here, especially on the first page.

My question is regarding the experience parts. I've never done a paid job for anyone and the only experience was during NYSC (Worked at a federal school and got paid only after service in bulk)

But since then, I've been working as a freelancer to earn a living.

So, anything for someone like me that has been working as a freelancer for years and getting paid? Does that count as experience? And also the NYSC year?

This way, I will know the next step to take. Thanks
I'm in your shoes.

The best thing in Nigeria that hardly happen in most places is that you can move from poor to rich in a very short time with a legitimate business.
The worse thing is that the reverse can also happen within a very short period of time.

From your post Op you don't have any prior business skills, no business experience also. 4 molla is not a small money at this time sir.. Business is not as easy as you may perceive it sir.
I'll give you my candid advise that may seem brutal.. Lol
1. Go for at least 12 months apprenticeship in any business you decide to venture into. It may look difficult but it's very possible.you will thank me later.
2. Beg your uncle to add 1M to that money and apply for a masters program in Germany, most of their schools are tuition free.. You only need about 10k euros in your block account which is your living expenses. To survive in business in Nigeria is not child's play. LEAVE NIGERIA SIR....
our policies are not friendly for startup.. If you have such amount please relocate, you'll still thank me later.

Hey! Some of you may come spewing what you like.. I'm only advising the young man, to avoid regret. 4 million Naira is huge from his uncle but in the real sense it's nothing in the Nigeria business space.. TO GET A SHOP AT ARENA MILITARY SHOPPING COMPLEX IS OVER 5 million Naira.. I have fact. So after getting a shop where will you get money to buy goods you're not even sure of having buyers for... Op please JAPER O... I REITERATE JAPER...
So what next after the masters program in Germany because he'll need to get integrated into the system? He doesn't understand German, and that makes him on the receiving end.

Three great business ideas.
1. Go on an internship program in a pharmacy for 6months, get licensed and open a pharmacy/chemist, with 2m you'd have set up a nice pharmacy/chemist shop.
2. Go to a good location, with 5-800k u have a standard betting shop, it's a good business regardless of the economy, people would keep betting till Jesus comes.
3. You have a balance of @least 1.2m, look for a good location too, set up a restaurant, u don't need so much money on this, just make sure it's well sited,500k can take care of that and lastly, rent an apartment, furnish it to some extent then give your wardrobe a facelift. U don't have to concentrate all d resources on one line of business, thank me in six months.
No 6-month program will bag you a full-license to practice as a pharmacist. He'll need to write jamb and study the program for 5-6 years, go on a 12-month internship program, and write the PCN professional licensing exam.

Graduating as a geologist and end up not working even as a lecturer or in a firm that's related to what i studied
and this is a setback? The CEO of most banks did not study banking and finance at the undergraduate level. I studied pharmacy and I'm not even practising despite pressures from all angles. Most rich men don't even have a degree to start with. In as much you're doing well for yourself, count that out as a setback. By the way, if you were a lecturer, you probably would be in a huge debt or struggling to survive due to the recent ASUU strike. Believe me, they aren't having it easy.

Be that as it may, one as an employee would definitely be required to interact with fellow workers and even clients in the course of practice.
