After 65 years of independence, Nigeria still tops the charts in all the negative indices of modern life!

Electricity, healthcare, security, economy etc are still nothing to write home about in this country!

What a shame!

People married with low incomes in the past and worked hard together to build their homes successfully over the years. The problem may be that most people want perfection before committing to marriage now. Sadly, it means more people will stay single longer or never marry.
Spot on!
People have simply become greedier than before. The other day one guy was crying here that he's depressed and contemplating suicide because he has only 10 million in his account and two plots of land in his late twenties!

That's the kind of mindset youths of this generation now have! We have been so brainwashed to believe that we must be bastardly rich before marriage! In the past, people married when they had little to nothing and then build wealth with their better halves. It is said that he who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from God. This statement translates to mean that when two people come together in marriage through love, they think up ideas together, work together and build wealth together because like the saying goes; two good heads are better than one!

Please stop this nonsense of stereotyping people (both male and female alike) as failures even if you the OP will not admit it. Marriage as not an achievement.

Now, as a married man, if you can't

1. Instill moral values on your kids, you are a failure
2. Pay rent, school fees, etc, you are a failure
3. F**k for at least five minutes (bedmatic-wise), you are a failure
4. Have peace of mind as a married man, you have failed.

What am I trying to emphasize? Marriage is not for everyone. You can be a failure even as a married man or woman.

Stop stereotyping single people as failure all because they are happy being singles.

Marriage is not an achievement OK, whether for people in their 30s, 40s, 50s or 60s? lipsrsealed
Please don't marry o, you hear?

By the time you are in your 60s, lonely with no wife nor children of your own, you'll be filled with regrets and miserable, that is when you will understand that marriage is a great achievement!

Only those who failed in marriage or cannot get someone who agrees to marry them use that line "marriage is not an achievement"!

Stop saying marriage is not an achievement.
It is an achievement for me and I love my family 100%
Only those who are unlucky to get someone marry them claim that marriage is not an achievement!

If getting a partner who loves and accepts to go through life with me while birthing my offsprings and propagating my genes is not an achievement, I wonder what else is!

They most likely rejected men that proposed marriage to them when they were still young believing that they would get a man at the snap of their fingers whenever they want

Girls,! Once you hit the age of 18, try and get married if a responsible man comes to ask for your hand in marriage. You can plan yourself well and have both marriage and education concurrently. You'll be saving yourself alot of embarrassment and pressures in the future.

A word is enough for the wise!

Christianity Etc › Re: Church Expels New Bride For Refusing Sex With Husband by Jman06(m): 9:00am On Feb 21
This generation of ladies are hell bent on destroying the marriage institution which is the foundation upon which society is built!

From the beginning of time, marriage was supposed to be between a man who LOVES his wife and a woman who has taken an intentional decision to accept and submit to the man! The woman's "love" was never intended to be a basis for the marriage because love is expected to come majorly from the partner who bears the bulk of the family's responsibilities and which happens to be the MAN.

It is because of the great responsibilities marriage places on the man that even God admonished the man to love his wife while the woman should submit to her husband! These things are simple logic! But ladies of this generation would want to confuse themselves with their so called love (love that shies away from responsibilities). The feminist groups who advise these ladies are the ones planting that senseless thoughts about the non existing "mutual love ' as a basis for marriage!

They forget that love is hardly mutual and that if people are to wait until they found 'mutual love ', they might eventually not find any until they grow old and less desired.

She is clearly mentally ill, no two ways about it. The crazy part is that she’s actually beautiful, and I’m sure she has thousands of simps in her DM daily. She’s probably used to all that toxic "dominant-submissive" B.S. and thought she could live that lifestyle forever.

It’s a good thing she’s facing a jail term to serve as a deterrent. These feminists will be busy raising "bad boys" and toxic teens, then they’ll turn around and blame all men for the "patriarchy" they created.
If they wanted the dominant -submissive kind of relationship where the lady is the dominant, they could easily get adult males in their clime who'll be willing to do that with them!
This one is just a weirdo who probably has pedophilia as her fetish

If we postpone having children like some of you ignorantly say, we'll be setting ourselves up for extinction! The death rate in this country is growing worse on daily basis!
Why do we hardly hear news like this from the developed countrieshuh It's simply because they take their health sector seriously unlike Nigeria that has left our healthcare sector in ruins since independence!

To attain the age of 70yo is now a luxury in this country. Too bad! This is just a reflection of how bad our healthcare system has become! Nigerians need to rise up and demand that the government should fix our healthcare! It's a shame! Stop playing politics with our healths!

Go to our public hospitals in this country and you'll be confronted with an age-long decay that has left these hospitals running like though they're slaughter houses where people go to die instead of getting cured of their ailments! From gross shortage of staff to lack of equipment and infrastructural decay! Things are going from bad to worse as the days pass and this is really unfortunate!

RIP to the dead man!

Nigerians are a very funny set of people!
I expected that all Nigerians who have suffered hardship since the inception of this administration would come out en masse and support the oppositions in protesting against that electoral act amendment bill but alas all of them chickened out and left the few guys who protested against the bill.

That clause that permits manual transmission of results was deliberately inserted so that they can capitalise on it to rig the 2027 elections! Election rigging come 2027 would have been effectively checkmated if that clause was not added! I expected even the organised labour and every other Nigerian to come out and protest but everybody just shied
away but when the elections are eventually rigged next year, they'll not let us hear something.

Kudos to the likes of Peter for Nigeria, Sowore and other guys who stood gallantly in opposition of the bill. At least they tried!

The man just wanted to intimidate the gym instructor. I'm sure that lady I'm seeing is not underaged, so unless a case of rape is established against the guy, he didn't commit any offence!

The lady must have filled in her bio data and indicated her age before being allowed to gym, so all the instructor needs is to present her filled bio data forms and this matter might just be turned against the man.

These are the people's senators while all the other ones are rubber stamp senators who live at the mercy of APC and Tinubu. What a shame!

I'm particularly disappointed in that man called Kelvin Chukwu! A man who benefited from the people's sympathy votes to be in the senate when his brother was brutally assassinated by the tyrant of that time. We had all thought that he'll go there and stand with the people but alas, he is being used by the powers that be to oppress the people. You're a shame to your family and Nkanuland in general, Mr Kelvin Chukwu!

My own mom is a typical example of a "yellow pawpaw". She's fair and very beautiful like the typical Igbo ''yellow pawpaw '' but you needed to see her working those days. She worked like a Jackie and through her combined efforts with my dad, all of us acquired university education.

I get irritated whenever I see your posts castigating your parents here! From what I can deduce in all you've been posting about your parents, you're the problem and not your parents! Health workers remain the hardest working cadre of civil servants in Nigeria yet they are grossly underpaid, overworked and suppressed!

Government fail to employ enough health workers to man our hospitals thereby overworking the few ones available, why won't they be unhappyhuh

Hospitals are meant to run 24/7 but government would not employ enough hands to deliver health services! It is a shame! That's why you see some health workers being unhappy and venting their angers on the patients!

Let FG develop a system that ensures that employment of health workers gets easy to ensure that the hospitals are running efficiently such that as older health workers are retiring/resigning, they are effectively replaced by newer ones! Also, they should be well-paid and have their other welfares taken care of.

If the above is not done, we will just have to live with the consequences of being cared for by an unhappy and unhealthy health workforce!

So, older women don't display dramas in their marriageshuh Why do you guys like lying about age difference being a cause of marital issues and wives' dramas? Just anything to discourage men from marrying younger girls!

@op, I'll advise you to do everything within your power to get your wife back. Attend the funeral and make sure your wife notices your presence. Do everything you can to help give your mother-in-law a befitting funeral.

After like one months of mourning, go back and do everything to get your wife back. Good thing that your father-in-law seems to be on your side. Remember that in our culture, men are usually the ones who marry off their daughters! Or did you pay her bride price to her mother?

Drop your ego at this point and beg your wife and in-laws, buy her favourite gifts and melt her heart. I'm sure that if she sees the seriousness in you, your wife will come around. The issue wouldn't have lingered for this long if not that you allowed your ego get a better part of you. So, drop that ego now, beg your wife and get your family back.

There's nothing serious in this issue to warrant the lingering separation. After reconciling with your wife, make sure you don't repeat this mistake of laying your hands on her ever again. Don't listen to all these people here advising you to move on. Many of them would crawl to their wives if they find themselves in similar situation!
