discusant:To solve such problems as mentioned in your post, government need to change the leadership of our public hospitals! They need to take the leadership of hospitals away from medical doctors. Qualified hospital administrators should be appointed to lead these hospitals and ensure proper checks. Doctors have proven over the years to be poor managers of our public hospitals! |
When you tell these politicians to get our hospitals functional they'll not listen! They forget that sickness and death can happen to anybody. Go to all these public hospitals in Nigeria, they're nothing to write home about! Poorly staffed, poorly equipped and a workforce that is frustrated due to poor pay and poor working environment. Many of these hospitals have not employed new hands for many years now, so they're just there like slaughter houses. How can they resuscitate someone in those kinds of facilities? Nigerians are not just serious mehn So many cases of people slumping and dying nowadays. These are pointers to how bad things have degenerated in our healthcare system! RIP to the dead |
It is normal for a guy to be shy around a lady he likes. I can be as shy as anything around a girl I'm hugely into. In such scenarios, I'll try to get friendly with her first and from there I'll start getting comfortable around her and then we can start flowing. I think this should be seen as normal. Ladies too need to cut down on too much expectations and make themselves more friendly especially if they notice that the guy is shy. |
everythingtall3:Honestly! It can be draining! |
How exactly did the masquerade disrupt public peace? And how do they intend to charge the masquerade to court? |
Only shameless ladies propose relationship or marriage to men! When you do that as a lady, you sell your dignity and give the man the upper hand in the relationship/marriage. That rubbish feeling you think you have for him will clear from your eyes sooner and you'll start looking for what was never there in the man. Wise ladies wait for men who like them to come for them! |
One guy here is fond of rage-baiting by throwing annoying posts here and there to get us angry |
SimpleGuy001:Says who? People can marry on that salary and still be happy if they have the right mindset and approach life with wisdom |
This whole thing boils down to mindset. God made this life very simple but humans are the ones complicating it. I know an average family of nine children where the dad was a construction worker who operated caterpillars and other machineries for some expatriate construction companies especially in South South Nigeria while the wife was a petty trader cum subsistence farmer in the village. All the children attended public schools both in town and in the village. During holidays, they helped their mom with trading and farming and in the process, they gather enough foodstuffs and funds in readiness for school resumption. That was how they continued until the first child graduated from higher institution and started working. She was then rendering financial help to the family until the second child graduated as an engineer and also started working and contributing towards raising the rest of his siblings. That was how ALL of them managed to graduate from different universities in the country. Today, this family is doing very well financially and many of the children are now abroad making hard currencies. Though their dad is late, the mom is still very much alive and enjoying the fruits of her labour. What I'm saying in essence is that, with the right strategy and orientation, people can still start from the scratches and get to the top. That man who got married on a salary of 100k per month can still raise great children with the right approach. The soil is still one of the greatest resources God gave to mankind, but how many youths in this confused generation ever thinks of what they can make out of the soil? People just give themselves unnecessary pressure. Why waste funds on private schools when it is now obvious that those schools add little to no values to children? Yet, they make you pay huge amount of money which the proprietor enjoys with his or her family! Government schools are still the best in terms of quality of teachers! You must not use pampas for your babies! Instead, use napkin and save yourself the cost of buying pampas. Your baby will still grow up healthy and strong. Nowadays, healthcare has become more accessible than in the past and you don't have to pay through your nose to afford it. If you don't have money to visit big hospitals, make use of the pharmacies and take advantage of the improved pharmacy training by asking to see the pharmacist free of charge when you go to buy medications. Many of them are more knowledgeable than some doctors you may be seeing in the hospitals. In summary, stop trying to impress or to belong to a particular class because our races are different and the end justifies the means. Happiness is relative and depends on your mindset. Some of my happiest moments were the times I was growing up in the village because we had a lot fun activities then, unlike now that life is more about work, work and more work with little fun. |
SIRTee15:It is this generation that chooses to create problems for themselves by being greedy. Like I said, people have been surviving with their families even on a lower wage than 100k per month. You must not live in big houses in town and you'll still be happy. Many of us survived infancy without wearing pampas but our good old napkin, so you mustn't spend money on pampas and stuffs like that. Cut your clothes according to your size like the saying goes. |
If the man and woman are good managers, they can survive with 100k salary especially if the woman also hustles and adds to the family's finances. People have been getting married on even lower salaries. Like the saying goes, two good heads are better than one. |
If the lady lady has shown remorse then Rudeboy should forgive her. I believe this one will teach her some lessons on how to always avoid cho cho cho. |
This must be a rage bait |
Exactly! The so called "love" is ephemeral and short-lived! Anybody who marries because of such nonsensical feeling would only have his or herself to blame for the consequences. People should learn to marry for good reasons and to someone with good heart and great character. |
What course did you study in your first degree? If it is one of the biological sciences, then I'll advise you to try direct entry. You won't be required to write JAMB to gain direct entry admission into 200level. All you need to do is study smart and ace your university's post UDE exams. |
pocohantas:The 'guilty' are afraid of who? Though I prefer marrying younger girls who are within the legal age of consent, I cannot go below 18years for personal reasons. Also, I'll rather remain unmarried than marry any EP from the age of 30 and above. Having said the above, I believe strongly that some of you feminists who are vocal in fighting younger girls getting married do that for some mischievous reasons. You want such girls to have same ill fate of being lonely and unmarried at old age just the way you are. Misery, they say, loves company! |
My only issue here is the fact that the girl seen not physically matured given her smallish and fragile stature. Some girls at the age of 15 are already developed physically and ready for marriage. As far as I'm concerned, if a girl is physically grown at 15, has no one sponsoring her education and so on, she is very free to marry if a decent man comes for her. Though I wouldn't be the man, I think the whole idea of fighting against early marriage for girls is mostly driven by feminism and the "woke" mindset. In no distant past, women got married from the age of 15 especially if such women had attained physical maturity at that age. As for the alleged health risks like VVF and cervical cancer, VVF is more about body structure maturity and many girls at that age have attained maturity in that regard and would comfortably birth children without VVF. It should also be remembered that VVF can happen as a result of medical errors during child delivery by untrained persons and to women who might even be older. On the other hand, the claim about the risk of cervical cancer is unfounded and not based on solid evidence! This is me thinking out of the box and trying to separate facts from 'wokism' since I have many women who got married early and are doing fantastically well today health wise even after having many children. Some people here like pocohantas have accused me severally of having a fetish for small girls and all that but that wouldn't deter me from pursuing the fact rather than sheepishly following some unfounded and biased claims of feminists just to be seen as "woke". |
It's not about banning open grazing, the problem is always with enforcement! |
Omowale2023:Do you mind her? Many of them in their feminist movements have recently started the campaign to spread falsehoods about men's fertility. They can go to any length to turn the blames of marital infertility on the men; including sponsoring fake 'research' publications! They seriously want people to believe that men's fertility is affected by age! They forget that the consequences of spreading such falsehood might be dire to population control. We know the wars being waged in many homes by older children to stop their fathers from reproducing after certain number of children. It is not funny because I witnessed such wars in my own family. My dad was in his late 50s when our last born was given birth to and he was still ready to fire on but my elder siblings had to start intervening to advise him against birthing more. So, spreading such falsehoods might cause some men to start firing uncontrollably in their older ages and that would lead to population challenges. |
emmaodet:Exactly bro. Their problem is ingratitude which stems from entitlement mentality. Igbo ladies are the most spoilt ladies in Nigeria by Igbomen and that is why many of them now feel like men owe them anything. Many of them are not getting married because of their greediness which makes them set some unrealistic standards for themselves when they're still young. It is no coincidence that in Nigeria today, most of the unmarried women in their 40s are Igbo! |
LegacyB:That mindset is gaining popularity in igboland and it represents failure in cultural values in the tribe, that is why I called out the tribe for it. We really need to get things right as regards our value system in igboland. Our so called traditional rulers, clergy and even our parents have woefully failed in instilling the right values to our youths! |
It's a pity that she could not live to see her kids through life. May God rest her soul. However, this lady is far better than many able-bodied ladies because she reproduced her genes before passing while many physically fit ladies would die lonely and with no child to their names. She achieved something in life. And mind you, those kids might end up becoming great people in the future. Life is a mystery. Some people may think that those children would end up in poverty and lack but God has his way of rewriting people's destinies for good. Many examples of people who rose from grass to grace abound! |
Igbo parents have really failed in this generation and that is why all these shameful things are happening in our tribe. Parents now watch as their daughters grow old in their houses and sometimes they do this for their selfish interests, especially if the daughter is doing well financially. Mothers for instance are failing in instilling marriage consciousness in their daughters. It's all about money, money and money! No values! No morals! Am I the only one who feels ashamed that all these ladies having and wishing to have children out of wedlock are Igbos? That represents a failure in cultural values and our people must rise to the challenge and nip such disgraceful practice in the buds. |
Double0h7:But he was only being Frank here. The lady really needed to work on herself because it's clear she was the reason her previous marriages failed. |
Igbo ladies have finally succeeded in breaking the family units apart in igboland! Women now normalise having children out of wedlock and it's quite unfortunate. The repercussions of this supposedly "woke" mindset will be felt in no distant time! |
CrownOfClay724:Exactly! It's just to find someone who is good and ready to do marriage with you... simple! True love only exists between parents (especially mothers) and their children and between some siblings! Anybody who marries for what this generation of youths call "love" might end up having problems in the marriage because what they refer to as love is just mere ephemeral feeling that never lasts! |
CrownOfClay724: |
Marrying for 'love' has always been a recipe for failed marriages! But if the marriage is by recommendations, it does last longer because good character mostly form the basis for recommendations. Also recommendations are sometimes based on a strong family ties which can hold the marriage. Since the youths of this generation started to marry for so called "love", marriage lost all the features that held marriages in the past! Tuface and Annie Idibia married for "love", Tonto and Churchill also did same but we all know how those marriages ended. The list goes on and on. |
trutharena:ISWAP and Boko Haram do want Islamic states and the majority of northerners subtly support them. |
It's not by chochochocho Bishop! Nigeria is tilted towards the direction of becoming an Islamic state! The more the southern Nigeria imbibe western education and lifestyle, the more the Christian population declines (especially with our poor healthcare system) while the Muslim population swells. Before now, people were thinking that a Muslim - Muslim presidency will not be possible in Nigeria but today it has become a reality. Muslims have already outnumbered Christians in Nigeria and I dare say that unless the northern Muslims decide to allow a Christian southerner to become president of this country, Muslim-Muslim tickets would always win should they decide to go by that. By the time Muslims dominate the leadership of Nigeria, it'll only take some policies to get every other Nigerian convert to Islam. The handwriting is clearly on the wall but our "I too know" southerners are not seeing it. All the Christian genocides and terrorism currently taking place in mostly Christian dominated parts of the north are all tending towards that agenda. ISWAP is fighting for the creation of a major Islamic state in West Africa and Nigeria is their main target due to the Nigerian population! With the increasing apathy towards marriage and reproduction by southern youths due to westernization and feminism, the agenda to islamize Nigeria would materialise in no distant time. |
How does sleeping with a married woman become a sin? Assuming there are no spare beds and I have to sleep with her on same bed, what sin have I committed in doing that ![]() |
When a Nigerian unemployed graduate finally managed to land a job after years of joblessness and being insulted and name-calling! by family and neighbours. |
