I don't hate Buhari as a person. I just think he is being over hyped. Anyway, I am patiently waiting for his cabinet list before I take a final stand whether to support or oppose his government. If his appointments show that he is determined to carry everybody along, then he will have my support. On the other hand if he appoints based on regional and tribal bias, then I will strongly oppose his government. |
MayorofLagos:Is that what you think? Well, let me remind you that the igbos have always survived previous marginalisation and will even do better this time around because they are hardworking people. And for those of you who think that Buhari will throw all the goodies to your lazy asses, you are in for a shocker! |
tandoe:The truth is that while he was playing fair, the opposition was busy playing the foul politics that Nigeria was known for before Jonathan's government. But in any case, it is better for him and for the country the way he conceded to allow peace to reign. Though he lost the Nigerian presidential election, he as earned a respectable place in international politics and endeared himself to the hearts of many. That's far better than being the Nigerian President! That's the bigger picture that some people are not seeing now. |
Op, have it at the back of your mind that the Souteast didn't misfire rather they have made it clear to the rest of the country that they can speak in one voice . |
Well it is unfortunate that our amiable President Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan lost his second term bid to the gang up of the northern and southwestern oligarchs, but his name will forever remain in the anals of Nigerian history as one President who enthroned true democracy in the country. My dear President, you lost the election not because you are not sgood enough for the job you are doing, but because those who wanted power at all cost used what I'd describe as scare tactics to intimidate majority of the chicken-hearted southwesterners into aligning with them to return power to the north. The reason for their action was never to better the country but to return power to the north! They used different media channels to unleash campaigns of calumny against your government, making it look like you are not doing anything, whereas your various developmental projects are glaring and h ave been acknowledged by the few discerning Nigerians like myself. They succeeded in desceiving some gullible Nigerians who thought it is ever possible for a government to throw manners to them on demand, especially in a country like ours. I just laugh at the quantum of disappointments that await such people. In summary sir, I want you to be rest assured that you have endeared yourself to me and to other Nigerian people who are reasonable enough to acknowledge your monumental achievements in office. I shall pass the message to my unborn children that a colossus like you once led this country and did so in a manner that none of your predecessors equaled. You shall live long sir and will continue to excel in all your endeavors. Bravo! my dear GEJ! From an ardent GEJite. |
Please house I need your opinions on this. A cousin brother of mine is planning to travel to Malaysia and would like to be informed on the job opportunities there. He is a graduate of chemistry but has not been able to get a job in Nigeria since he graduated in 2012. He now wants to use the little money he saved to travel to Malaysia in search of greener pasture. He doesn't want to deal on any illegal business, hence he is seeking advice from Nigerians who are there already on how he can secure a legit job over there. The guy is ready to do any kind of job provided it is legal. Thanks in anticipation. |

Can someone respond to this please |
OBJ should bury his face in shame and stop being envious of GEJ. We were all here during his 8 years of misrule. We witnessed how he connived with Elumelu, Imoke and co to loot the money meant for power sector reform. Our federal roads were death traps during his reign of terror. The spirits of Bola Ige , Funsho Williams, Marshal Harry , victims of Odi and Zakibiam massacres will be crying in their graves whenever the man from Ota opens his mouth to talk ill of GEJ's administration. PS: To Amaechi and all the other APC thugs who have been going about making inciting statements capable of plunging the nation into chaos, the statement below is worthy of note: Be ready to dance the macabre dance which will play out when Nigerians rise to revolt against you for not respecting their choice of a GEJ' presidency come 2015. Nigerians are watching! |
MissMeiya: People like you are so BLIND. You only see what you want to see.My grouse was with your post which I quoted earlier. You made it look like though the president has been campaigning against the electoral guideline that prohibits political campaigns till 3 months to election, while using his power of incumbency to prevent other aspirants from campaigning. I didn't actually read all your posts before I quoted you and that's my bad. But don't expect not to be quoted in the manner in which I did when next you make an obnoxious comment like the one I quoted, even if it's in the midst of a "conversation". Anyways, no hard feelings. Cheers! |
MissMeiya: And which of them was the subject of my discussion with TFCFan? I know who can do it. Start from the beginning of the conversation you interrupted.Your bias against the ruling party and the president was clearly shown in your post which I quoted above. In case you don't know, once a topic is posted on here as a thread, it becomes a subject for public discuss, hence always expect to be quoted when your opinion does not go down well with someone. If you want to engage in a private chat, you can always send the person a pm. Like I said earlier, I have grown past the stage of throwing tantrums at a total stranger on a social medium like this. |
MissMeiya: Great. Now look at it again. ^Does it now matter if it is presidential or gubernatorial election? The last I checked, same law applied to both. |
MissMeiya: Why are you stúpid? Read my response again. Slowly. You said and I quote "I have been researching the procedure for presidential election campaigning. The opposition is literally forbidden to campaign until 3 months before election" What else could you imply by that statement if not that the opposition APC is forbidden to campaign while the PDP has been "campaigning"? I would have returned you insult, but thank you stars that I no longer indulge in insulting strangers online. |
MissMeiya: I'm sorry, is he the presidential candidate for APC? Does anyone even know who the candidate is for APC? Try to comprehend what a discussion is about before you jump in the middle of it. Thank you.OK. I hope you would still cry blue murder if he eventually emerges as APC's IMO state governorship aspirant? Since going by your earlier assertion, he has been "campaigning" like GEJ. |
MissMeiya: Not only them. Everyone around the world knows about the ridiculous television commercial that compared GEJ to Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela, thanks to the Internet. Reuben Abati has been campaigning all year on Facebook and Twitter. With the dumbest pictures, I might add. I don't follow the fool, but his tweets end up on my timeline anyway. It's not possible to prevent a sitting president from campaigning. At all. Meanwhile, the challengingAnd you always look the other way when the same news media are showing APC's Rochas Okorocha et al"campaigning"? |
This is the most cheering news I have ever read on Nairaland. GEJ TILL 2019! Hip! Hip!! Hip!!! Hurrayyyyyy! |
kekakuz: yea lets just let them have it.Dude, you need to take a trip to the SE. Honestly, your post above reveals a man who has remained locked in his local village since birth. I have been to the north, southwest and southsouth and presently in the coal city state of Enugu. So, i can state with no iota of bias that the southeast is the best place to be. So, keep hating while we keep progressing. |
cococandy: Why are you calling me agbaya?Lorie, you are always making sense and i love you for that. Hw i wish say ur oga no fastforward come carry you before me, i for don 'repent' make i for fit marry you.8-) no wahala sha. @topic, agreed that from the way the whole thing happened, it now look like the man took advantage of the girl, but then again it's not new. Bosses have been marrying their employees, including maids, since time immemorial, and not just in Nigeria but the world over. As for the age difference, men have been marrying much younger girls since the beginning of time and evidence have even shown that such marriages end up more successful than marriages between men and women of same or close age range. So, imo, the man should just wait a little for the girl to cross the legal age(stipulated by man against nature's design), and then proceed to marry the girl. I believe they can succeed in the marriage because i know many who have. |
Why must we always wait to be spoonfed by America? What were we doing when the American scientists were researching on ebola virus? Perhaps our scientists were locked in battles for superiority instead of working as a team. And now that ebola is here, everybody is looking up to America for help. Why can't we be proactive for once? I'm very sure that when help eventually comes from the west and ebola becomes history, everybody would shout Alleluja! God has done it, and that would be all. Nobody would think about taking measures against possible outbreak of a disease of this kind in the future. Pathetic! |
sandiyke: May GOD have MERCY on you. Amenif ur God is so powerful let him prove it by providing an urgent cure for ebola, hiv and other deadly diseases that have continued to decimate his fanatical worshipers. Let him not waste his energy on my harmless criticism. But ofcourse, you will say the diseases are signs of 'end time', and i ask, what manner of a mighty God will allow his 'people' to perish from the scourge of ebola and other diseases he's said to be 'powerful' enough to cure? Mighty God indeed! |
Ebolaphobia everywhere in Nigeria! That's what you get in a country where people would rather spend their whole time in churches and mosque, worshipping a non-existing sky daddy instead of seeking scientific solutions to their problems. Let me see how the Jewish Jesus who died some 2k years ago will wake up from his grave and save your corrupt a5ses from ebola. Nonsense! |
Almeria: I hear that everydayBuh you ain't uglyy sweerie! |
Two years without sex?!... If i catch myself!8-) the guy don try joor, he should chop the next available kpomo and clean his damn mouth! This is what happens when people fail to realize that s.ex is a crucial component of a man's life, 4th to only air, water and food. |
I would have loved to pity this Clara of a lady but considering how ladies of her type treat average guys who make genuine love advances at them with so much disdain, all i can say is she got what she deserved. |
Op, you're on point jare! All those hypocritical 'God fearing' ladies are over rated. Capish! |
chidyhels: A gal is equally open to similar temptation. Female has been identified in all the crime u mentioned so its not only a male thing. The truth remains that 99.9% of people involved in those vices are males. And mind you, nowadays more women are involved in organizational management. Infact, all evidence on ground point to the fact that there may be 50:50 male to female ratio in most organization's human resource management team. And fyi, guys too get se,ually harassed by both female and homosexual male managers, so don't think it's only ladies that get harassed. |
chidyhels: Help me sirOk let's say u have a narrow understanding of what temptation means. An unemployed lady most times may be tempted to go into prostitution only, while an unemployed guy is tempted to think about several vices as a means of survival including male prostitution( eg those that look for sugar mum), armed robbery, kidnapping, terrorism, internet scam etc, so tell me, who's tempted more? |
chidyhels: You hv to be well disciplined lady to avoid temptation during the troubling days of unemployment.Maybe u don't understand what temptation means. |
Yungmilio2: MaleThis sounds funny but it's the truth. |
It is definitely the males that need job most. This is because the females have so many better options including being dependent on men either as girlfriends or wives. Also ladies can go into prostitution which is relatively less harmful to the society than other vices which the menfolk take to as a means of survival e.g. Armed robbery, kidnapping, insurgency, internet scam etc, as the Nigerian society is not conducive for male prostitution. So, in a nutshell, males should be considered for a job more than females, however in jobs that require more expertise and intelligence, merit should be strictly followed. |
