logicboy: The antichrist is another failed doctrine of christians. Christians call leaders who do not follow their doctrine, "antichrist". Antichrist is just another insult that can be used on non-christians or christians who dont follow the mainstream propaganda.

There is difference between "An Antichrist" and "The Antichrist" an Antichrist is anyone who oppose Christ . There are many Antichrists including the OP probably.

Refuse to worry about whatever predicament you may be facing right now; turn it over to the Lord and ask the Holy Spirit to take charge for you and pray through you. He’ll inspire you to utter in prayer words that He Himself formed within your spirit! That’s when you can really pray about a nagging situation without limitations, and prevail. It’s through the Holy Spirit; He puts the right words in your mouth with which to articulately express your desire to the Father.

The passage is about a father dealing well with his daughter who probably had vow of celibacy . by giving her hand in marriage to a man. It's not about a young man having sex..

buzugee: speaking in tongues is the least of the gifts because you are basically just edifying yourself. prophesy on the other hand is a great gift because it is selfless. you are edifying others.

We need to understand the code to this chapter. Prophecy here refers to speaking to people in a known language while speaking with tongues has to do with prophesying in an u known tongues. Talking to others in tongues does not in anyway edify the speaker or the hearer. but praying to God or talking to God in tongues do edify the speaker.

The major point about prophecy here is giving a message in a "known language" while tongues deals with giving a message in an "unknown language" both are either prophecies or exhortations . But praying in tongues is a different ball game. It is talking to God and not to man. So to understand verse by verse we must when the word "tongues " addresses prophecy or prayer. It's sometimes used interchangeably

In fact, Paul never met Jesus physically, so it is pertinent that we don't talk about John16:12 and the ensuing verses like Paul was amongst those to which Jesus was telling will recieve the spirit of truth when the holyghost comes upon them. Besides, Jesus would have typically told them that a more different and spiritually superior message would be given to somebody outside of the twelve disciples just like he predicted his betrayal.

The apostles were based in Jerusalem battling with mosaic law. But Jesus wanted the gospel to reach the Gentiles. Jesus sent paul to the Gentiles , and the early church endorsed it.

Galatians 2:8-9

Let's not forget that Paul's claims of meeting Jesus was actually a private affair that was not substantiated by anyone else besides himself hence the need to validate himself all the time that he was sent by God. Our God does not contradict himself,

The church didn't dispute the fact. If someone highly places in the society and a terror to the. Birch suddenly became a convert and became so humble labouring among the people . This must be God.

he can't say to Peter james and co that salvation is by virtue of the observance of the law and by faith in our lord Jesus while he tells Paul that salvation is by virtue of one's faith in him

Jesus didn't tell Peter and James such things. They didn't make such claim . Jesus told them of the coming of the holy spirit who will teach them all things. Paul was the main person he granted such great revelation of the church to. The early church didn't doubt such authenticity. So it shouldn't be an issue with us. He was openly endorsed and commissioned. By men and by the holyghost who is the chairman of the church

Acts 13:2
As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.

Jesus christ even if one does not observe the law. Is it not obvious from reading Romans 7 from verse one to the end that Paul's emphasy for the disregard of Judaic laws stemmed from the fact that he had inner morally debasing desires that he struggles with which runs contrary to Judaic laws and even Christ's teachings. If you observe very well with an open mind, U will notice that even though he claims to be spreading the gospel of christ, his teachings always end up going contrary to christ's teachings and dwelled a lot on human emotions that can't be controlled as it concerns the law and man's default sinful nature

Jesus already spoke against Judaic laws. He broke the sabbath. He told Peter to eat unclean meat etc. Paul only amplified what Jesus came to do .

Let's not forget that it was Paul that introduced the whole concept of a new convenant with christ and the new testament which erases mosaic laws which is the basis of Judaic laws. Till today, judo christians even though less popular than the Pauline Christians do not agree on the concept and philosophy of faith based salvation which is what the entire christiandom preaches. I would advice that you keep an open mind and especially the second article I posted about Paul being the founder of christianity.

The law was for the Jews . The church is for all.

The early church Found it hard to accommodate the Gentiles . Peter had to face probe for preaching to Cornelius . Jesus had the Gentiles in mind

It's Paul that Jesus granted this great truth. He had the revelation of the church.

Goshen ,it's time you start listening to other preachers. Your solo christianity is affecting you . God has set in the body pastors and teachers. Why will you look down on such ministry. Very body reads the bible but there's still need for someone anointed to teach . You are looking down on the ministry of the holyghost in the church . There's is a difference between the gift of Diversity of tongues and and praying in Tongues. Diversity of tongues is ability to speak in earthly unlearned language. Thus is not prayer but to speak the word of God to people in their language or any unlearned language . Not every body has this gift. But praying in tongues is a communion with God in a heavenly language which also edify ones self . It's a necessity for every christian .

There's tongues of men and heavenly language or tongues of angels.

1 Corinthians 13:1
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Praying in tongues is also called praying in the spirit. Because its a heavenly language it doesn't have to be in earthly words . Heavely communication is different . Repetition may be there. God calls it stammering lips.

Isaiah 28:11
For with stammering lips and another tongue. will he speak to this people ..

Because its a heavenly communication with God, one word could mean several things. The" rabaraba" means different things. Take for example someone "laughing " in the spirit yet in the spirit realm it means something. Some groan in the spirit ,like Jesus did at the grave of Lazarus ,yet each groan ,means different things.

Romans 8:26-27

A groan is not a human language . When birds of animal communicate among themselves it seems they are saying thesame thing each time we hear their sound ,yet in their own realm they say different things.

It doesn't have to be a known language. It's. A spiritual communication. Speaking ith tongues has to do with speaking to people. But praying in tongues has to do with talking to God. Ask yourself , why Would I need to speak hausa to God ,when he understand. My English. Why don't I just speak english to him. It's only for men we need to speak earthly language. Pentecost experience is for a specific purse just or that day.

Tongue is a language but, who are you speaking to. You either speak to men or to God. Tongues is used both ways , so the question is to know which situation the passage is addressing. I can guarantee you that such passge is dealing with speaking to men . And if you speak to men in a language they don't understand it is common sense to interprete. The only exception is a prayer of agreement . Whereby you pray on behalf of others , since such prayer require their participation. It's not right to do such prayers in tongues . But apart from that every person is free to speak to God in tongues in the church by himself.

Why did God say they should speak one after the other is because it's a message they were giving in tongues , so orderliness is required.

1 Corinthians 14:27

so it's allowed for the tongue talker to speak to himself and to God in tongues. 50 to 1000 people may not speak to others In tongues but they may speak to God at thesame time. That's actually what we do when we all pray in tongues. But if I give a message in tongues ,I will need to interprete or get an interpreter.

There are different aspect of speaking in tongues. It's used to pray to God, it's is used to give prophecies and message to the church , it is also used to pray on behalf of others.
So if you read a passage about tongues you should first distinguished which aspect writer is talking about.

It's only when you use tongues to speak to people in a message or exhortation that interpretation is required . But when you speak in tongures to God in prayer , you don't need to interprete to God. Or do you think God news our interpretation ?

Certain terms such as , praying in tongues , speaking with tongues, speaking in tongues were used . But sometimes they connotes different things. If you look at the chapter again with this understanding , you will see a difference.

1 Corinthians 14:27-29

People can pray in ongues simultaneously . You're mixing up things with that scriptures. That passage is not about praying in tongue but "speaking " in tongues. Which has to do with talking to people so there's need for interpretation. . But when it comes to praying o God in tongues. We don't need to interprete ,he understandsc

Remember that Jesus didn't tell the disciples everything. They were not yet born again. They hadnt recieved the holyghost yet. And thereby didn't have facility to recieve deeper truth.It's the holyghost that actually came to lead the church into truth. So,

Darkness is an effect not a creation. As nuella said. Darkness is an absence of light. There was a pre admire world that was destroyed ,before the creation of adam. God created man perfect . Theres no satanic part of man. Isatan only had influence in the world because man fell through the sin of Adam . Jesus has died to bring change to that. That's why we teach the gospel.
