Both the quick (the living) and the dead are to face judgment. Those alive and dead in Christ will be raptured at His appearing in the air at least seven years before the second coming and setting up of the Millennial kingdom These will be judged at the judgment seat of Christ during these seven years

Yes but the second coming is different from the rapture or the saints being caught up. The catching up of the saints (rapture) will take place 7 years before the second coming

We should avoid interpreting parables literally just like other books in the bible most especially Revelation and Daniel.

The concept of hell being a temporary or permanent abode for the wicked is something I am yet to fully come to grasp with.

There are not 2 judgements but 1 , and this is the white throne judgement.

There are actually 2 judgements to my understanding . 1. White throne judgement
2. Judgement Seat of Christ

The white throne judgement is for Nations while the judgement seat of Christ is for Christians . The judgement seat of christ will be at the rapture

So after the death experience, the next experience the dead will have is the white throne judgement .

The whitethrone judgement won't take place until the close of the age after the millennial reign of Christ .

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

This idea that when a MAN or WOMAN dies they immediately go to punishment is not at all biblical. Let us keep things in perspective , pure and simple with no added human complexity.

When a sinner dies, he goes to hell . This is not yet judgement . Hell is a temporary abode for the wicked while they await the judgement . A good example is the story of rich man and Lazarus .The wicked rich man went to hell immediately.

Luke 16:23
And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

. Hell is a final event not a temporary measure.

Hell is not a final destination , the final destination for the wicked is actually lake of fire and not hell. Hell itself and it's content will be thrown into lake of fire.

its not everything in the bible that is the word of God. the bible contains the word of man, the words of demons,the words of angels,the words of satan, the words of animals etc. But the inspiration of scriptures has to do with the documentation. What the word of God really is, is every thougt, idea and principke which is consistent with Gods plan for us in christ Jesus.

these scriptures are beimg wrongly applied. i ronically, the circles that used such for appearance always braid their hairs which is contadictory to what they claim. they dont perm hair but they braid yet if they take that scripture by thier interpretation it means dont braid. Deauteronomy 22 is not dealing with fashion. There wasnt a male design or female desisgn in isreal. they all wore the same gown and skirt. both male and female.

staggerman: Spirit beings are not restricted by time or space. They are clearly different from physical beings. Yes, millions of angels can be in a single room. Even the Mighty Spirit of our Great God and Father dwells in us. He doesn't have to reduce Himself before He can take residence in any man. He remains just the same in each of us as He was in Jesus. We are not in disagreement over what happens when one walks contrary to faith in God. The disagreement revolves about whether or not a Christian can do such.

A christian can surely do. I think the problem is your personal definition of what it is to be a christian.

My position is that it is impossible to a Christian to break an hedge or to submit to anything other than Christ or to be overcome of anything except the Power of God his Father.

You have to line your position with scriptures . A christian can break his wall of protection and walk into demonic torment .

The issue about Open Doors is based on a simple biblical principle. Right from the old testament

. . . . .whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him.

Take for example Israel as a nation most powerful nation under God by the reason of the covenant but when they go into sin especially idolatry etc. They give room to the enemy to afflict them. The same principles applies today. See what paul says here.

Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

You see The same principle is at work. What you give room to can make mastery of you. Same way even though you have dominion over sin but if you give it room, sin ,sickness ,poverty can rule you ,devils can do the same. That doesn't take away your authority but you faith has weaken .

There are teo extremes that should be avoided , one is arrogating to Satan the power he doesn't have and the next is the extreme of Denial of the wiles if the devil. That's illusion. Which I perceive seem to be your position , if a christian gives room to the devil , he will afflict . can you comment on your understanding of these scriptures

I want to see Scriptures, rightly dissected and clearly explained. I don't want to hear how many women rolled on the floor after you commanded a demon to leave their body. I want to hear that such and such places in the Bible said this and that and, by the operation of reason under the power of the Holy Spirit, it means this and not that.

If you intend to use Ananias and Sapphira as the basis for saying what is possible and not possible to the Christian, first show me beyond question and from the Bible that they indeed were Christians. If you cannot do this, stop using them as examples of Christians.

If you are going to use Scriptures like those isolated verses you have kept quoting to show that Satan's power can touch the Christian, then indicate readiness to answer questions that indicate a contradiction between them and other parts of the Bible.

I hate dodginess and this territoriality I see displayed when I try to talk with another believer. Are you, Joagbaje, afraid of having to give up your ministry (if you have one)? Face the Scriptures and discover whether or not your position is in the Spirit of Christ or not. Whatever you might stand to lose by doing so is nothing compared to the gain that awaits obedience to the Lord.

Can I ask you a question? Do Christians fall sick, do some Christians experience something pressing them in the night and the struggle to shout Jesus ? If you're not aware of such things go and find out. We live in a real world. What do you say about a christian woman that always experience a being coming to have sex with her. Some in the dream, some physically . The speak in tongues but the experience continues. In some cases . When a woman gets pregnant when ever this Spirit being have sex with her she will have miscarriages in the morning. . If you're not knowledgeable about this, it's simple. Imminent sense to find out instead of the merry go round. A christian has authority over the devil .as long as he stays in the word of God. Jesus says in John 14:23: "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

I have never heard of a christian that is half-filled with the Spirit.

There is a challenge with the use of the word "SPIRIT FILLED". There's is a diffference between receiving the holygjost and. Being full of the holygjost.
My observation , we use SPIRIT FILLED. for SALVATION and seriousness we also use it for RECIEVING of the spirit and for BEING FILLED with the holygjost. These are three different experiences

A man may be saved for many year and not relcieve the holygjost. Or the INFILLING of the spirit . Which is an endowment of power like the Pentecost day experience. This is a one time experience. You receive the holygjost After salvation.

But to be spirit filled is an ongoing experience. . After you might have recieved the holygjost . You get your self full of the holygjost on regular bases. It's like charging yourself up like a battery.


Ephesians 5:18
And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

The Greek word used here does not indicate a one time experience. But a regular continuous experience. In Acts 2 , The early church recieved the spirit as a one time experience at Pentecost but there were other instances when they get filled with the spirit again and again like acts chapter 4

We continuously get filled again and again by prayerrs in the spirit ,worship ,speaking in tongues etc. anything which edifies us can cause FILLING again and again.

If a man believes in Jesus Christ as lord and confess him openly ,he is born of God, I didn't use the word posses for a christian. A christian either spirit filled or not cannot not be possessed by the devil. He is Gods possession . But it is possible for demons to inhabit a christian in his body. It is possible to cast out a demon out of a christian. It is even possible to cast out a demon out of a pastor who even minister to others . The question now is how can a demon gain acces to a christian.

I didn't say that a christian can be possessed. Once you are born again , you can't be possessed. There's difference between demonic POSESSION and demonic oppression or obsession. A christian may be oppressed Externally wihtout entering a person and he can gain acess into the body of a christian but cannot gain acess to his Spirit because thats the part that Gid saved where God dwells .

Also , I didn't say it's demons that make people sin. I only said certain sins do open up people to demons. Remember that witchcraft and murder are part of them.

It's very simple . Greed is an open door to the enemy. How on earth did Satan enter into Judas. A desciple who had cast out devils ,healed the sick and raised the dead

So far, reading from behind; I see clearly the point Joagbaje is making here and that is basically: A SPIRIT FILLED Christian CANNOT BE POSSESSED BY DEMON(S) BECAUSE THE SPIRIT OF GOD POSSESSES SUCH CHRISTIAN BUT a Christian can be influenced (from outside).....a kind of trying a Christian to see "IF" he/she allows such demons. The condition by Joagbaje is "IF such Christian allows it. It will therefore mean that a SPIRIT filled Christian cannot be possessed by demons according to this thread BUT an ordinary or church goer or non-spirit filled Christian can be possessed by demons because they don't know their right and privileges.

From the light of the scriptures, most of what is called "sin" or "openings" to demons/devils are actually works of the flesh that manifested or that was allowed due to not doing what the bible says we should do about our body and soul after our spirit is born from above in the new creation. I don't call a "spirit filled" Christian committing adultery or fornication an act of demons but an act of yielding to the flesh because all are tempted - both ordinary christian and spirit filled christian and when the flesh is not put under, it grows beyond control.

Lastly, to Joagbaje,
Ananias and Sapphira are NOT believers or Christian. Let me proved it with bible verses. In the book of acts, the author has a way of describing the believers and non believers even they the non believers are added to the church. In other words, we can describe non believers as church goers of our days. ALL true believers/Christians in acts are often/all described as "a certain disciple called....." while the church goers are described as "a certain man called....". Take a look at these verses:

The fact that the word "believer " was not added to certain peoples name does not mean they weren't Christians. As my earlier post stated. Light had no fellowship with darkness.
