Today, Osimhen is better than Tammy Abraham. Even if it's possible for Tammy to change allegiance he will find it very difficult to get into the current SE. Blueelf: Osimhen is a very good player no doubt despite his glaring weaknesses
Not long ago, we were comparing him with Tammy Abraham and this generated lots of controversies
Well, its still too early to judge |

I resisted wading into this matter. It could drag on and on especially when each side chooses whatever supports their narrative. it's just unnecessary. Person dey grow pass something. Mujtahida: Well said. Understood from this apt picture you have painted, one cannot do less than to let the music play on. Ultimately the music is our music. |

I won't be surprised if Pep goes for Osimhen if he maintained his current tempo till the winter transfer window. Osimhen has age on his side, and can still get better -- a high ceiling. |

Although a hexagon chart, it seems to cover less stats, compared to Sofascore's. Subzero047: TheGoodJoe Pep will look at stats like this and pick Osimhen over Haarland? |

Haaland (Blue) -- Osimhen (Green) SofaScore says otherwise in defense. I once posted a SofaScore article on what the pentagon chart means. In summary it represents the completeness of a player, not necessarily who is a better player. SofaScore also takes into consideration the strength of the league. And if I remember quite right it considers the last two seasons giving more weight to the current. So each of the 5 points are purely stats related. Here is the link again: https://www.sofascore.com/news/sofascore-attribute-overview/I'm the kinda guy who teaches how to fish. Learn the ropes so you can test every spirit. Anyways make we leave this comparison matter before we start to curse ourselves. And by the way, I hope I am not the guy that moniker is referring to as triangle bros. TheGoodJoe: Look at defense. Who edged?
That has been the point. Amunike picked Osimhen because of his defending quality.

I think the euphoria around Osimhen is not necessarily his value but the change in value in a short time. He is the one that is talked about around town. It's just like a hot album that makes a big move up the the charts. It's staying power will determine the end narrative. So we wait as the season progresses. But right now this album is being played over the world, in every radio. There is a new R&B star, but will he win the grammies next year? Will this new album continue to sell after a year or so? How would he fair against other artistes now and in the future? These are unanswered questions. But he has fans who like fans of Usher at a time believed he was better than MJ. Or think Trey Songz versus R.kelly. Or they may not say that outright but focus on aspects that their idol is better. That's normal with a star who is hot at the moment. So don't stop the record. Let the music play on. Mujtahida: He is a good striker but I don't think he's better than Haaland. That's a stretch. What usually happens is that potential and possibilities for growth are taken as present realities and used to judge a player in comparison to others who are clearly their betters. I remember the debates that raged here on Kelechi and Mbappe. Then it was clear that Mbappe was the better of the two, yet for nationalistic reasons, KC was being compared to him. Well, time has sorted out that argument. Osimhen will not be like KC (cos ultimately the progress of our players is the progress of our team)
Osimhen has huge potentials and is showing that he can become great but he's not there yet, he's not in the bracket of Haaland regardless of who is the more complete striker or not. |

There are two sides of the same coin. There is something or several things a player has over the other. It's more about the one you want to run with. You focus on the narrative that suits your preference. That said, this is a Super Eagles thread, so we can choose to focus on the stats/qualities that favors our own. But yet again we have club fanatics on here, so we should expect these kind of arguments to happen from time to time. TheGoodJoe:
You people are fond of misconceptions. I really don't know how else people can pass messages with you people failing to understand simple things.
Guardiola might prefer Osimhen due to some of his different attributes.
You people will interpret it as Guardiola prefers Osimhen.
Iheanacho is a better finisher than Mbappe. That is Iheanacho is deadlier in the box.
You people will interpret it as Iheanacho is better than Mbappe.
Osimhen has qualities that can make a coach want him ahead of Haaland.
You people will interpret it as Osimhen is better than Haaland.
The problem is comprehension skills. Many people miss basic points. |

The problem is when some think that the more frequently they hold it, African countries etc will come up. if they like make them hold am every year, any country that is not serious will continue to be where they are. Mujtahida: I know we generally resist change but they should leave this world cup as a four year interval event that it is currently. We have a smorgasbord of footballing event to slake our appetites while waiting for global football festival that is the WC. 48 teams? maybe yes, biennial event? No! |
