make this Dikko man shut up.

Oasis007:
DESTINY CHILD!! May God bless Mr. Jude Anyadufu, the Sporting Director of Enyimba FC… NWABILI was unfortunately relegated from the NPFL with Go-Round FC of Portharcourt in 2018. But Mr. Jude saw he is something special in the games he kept for Go Round FC and so didn’t allow him to go down and signed up for Enyimba FC to start as 3rd choice keeper behind LEKE and FATAHU DAUDA (a Ghana International Goalkeeper)… the rest they say is history!! The Enyimba head coach, Usman Abdallah trust him and made him Number 1 and when he left Enyimba to Wikki and later Katsina Utd he always goes with Nwabili as his top keeper … Now in the Super Eagles setup, at the AFCON Nwabili is first choice while LEKE is the 3rd choice …. That’s life ….

Torunarigha is not an upgrade to any of our starters. I am hoping Tosin will come in. Udoukhai as well.

humility33:
We've Jordan and also I am sure so many foreign born will wanna turn up for nigeria after this final most especially as we're approaching world cup year
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 8:06am On Feb 08, 2024
Sincerely our team has a long way to go if we are gonna compete well globally. We will have to consolidate on this and build stronger going forward.

Goke7:
Am not giving myself many headaches about this final, whoever wants it more will win on Sunday. We had a big scare with this semi-final match but thanks to our keeper. One thing I must commend though is the mental strength of our players despite all SA thrown at them. Another team would have collapsed totally in extra time knowing how SA won the previous match. That mental strength from our boys may be the edge hoping all other factors work out for us in the final.

I must commend the attitude of Moffi, Iheanacho, and even Omeruo coming in as substitutes in such a tense match and at the time they came in. They were virtually thrown into the fire and they were very productive, now that's one major thing I have never seen in a Super Eagles team for a long time. Perhaps destiny is truly knocking at the door.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 7:55am On Feb 08, 2024
but i no predict scoreline na..
I only insinuated CIV will score as well. It's a matter of who outscores. We could score 3 or more.. But I don't forsee a 1-0 slim victory.
I'm only saying we will have to do better with our chances

Mujtahida:
😂😂😂 This is funny. Show me since this tournament start how you predict scorelines and it happened. No be to predict winner oo.. Scoreline.

So if we don't score two goals, then go win us.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:07am On Feb 08, 2024
Omeruo a great ball playing defender. Wish he had the athleticism of Ajayi. Else should be starting. Ajayi’s passes is a big minus for us.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 1:04am On Feb 08, 2024
CIV has a good fairytale story to tell if.. We will need to work twice as hard to beat them again in the same tournament in front of their fans. Which is why we have to bury our chances and score no less than 2 goals to outscore them.

CornOak:
No, we are not forgetting anything. Instead, we are winning the tournament – 2 goal or not – regulation time or not.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 11:55pm On Feb 07, 2024
Okay I got my emotions in check.

Here is my prediction:

We would need 2 goals to see out CIV in regulation time. Else, forget it.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 11:12pm On Feb 07, 2024
I had mapped out our road to the finals.

@ AndSunGorrilla

Joebie:
Angola -> South Africa -> CIV (Our road to finals). But I have a bad feeling. Let me keep that to myself.

I want us to win. But I won’t predict yet or it would be emotionally motivated.

AndSunGorilla:

Likely KC or Chuks
comodo:
But moffi looks like he is heavy. Moffi I know is faster than the one I saw today. But please who sent that pass?? That was tailor made.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:44pm On Feb 07, 2024
That’s his expertise. Seen it again and again at club level.

Tinneh:
Loved the way terem moffi timed his run brilliantly in the build up to that red card, excellent offside awareness
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:28pm On Feb 07, 2024
I think Yusuf went for every tackle. He needs a little bit of calming down. Besides that, the subs were on point and we would have killed that game b4 regulation time.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:26pm On Feb 07, 2024
But how was SA gonna win 2 games back to back via PKs?
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:26pm On Feb 07, 2024
I hope so my bro
TheSuperNerd:
Osimhen scored Nigeria's first goal at this Afcon and I think he will score Nigeria's last and decisive to lift the title. Maybe that is what destiny has for him.

Time will tell.

But he scores or not, Osimhen and Nigeria will be Champions.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:24pm On Feb 07, 2024

Not given up on him yet.

But Moffi was fresh. That ball when he get na him kind of meat if not for that foul.

Mujtahida:
He's unlucky.

SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:19pm On Feb 07, 2024

Sportilitica:
It is not his tournament
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Joebie: 9:16pm On Feb 07, 2024
Stats no lie for senior man head. He himself too sure say he go score.

But wetin do Osimhen and goals for this tourney? Either he miss or dem cancel am. If VAR go rewind that EG goal maybe dem go also cancel am.

TheSuperNerd:
He was never going to miss. Check his track record of taking the decisive penalties. He never misses.

4 players I was sure would convert all converted. Moffi, Omeruo, Ekong and Iheanacho.

Moffi especially is a monster from spot kicks. A much better PK taker than Osimhen. Osimhen too knows this. But Osimhen remains the better all round striker.

For this period in time. When there is little or no exodus of keepers, it’s expected.

Mujtahida:
Our best keepers are everywhere. Quality is what matters. Not geographical location

Yes. Our best keepers are in Africa
Kog45:
Nwabali performance so far showing how we wasted our times on Uzoho and Maduka.....Nwabali,Nwoke and Osayi should be eagles keepers.

Yes Nwakali and Nwabali lol
forgiveness:
The reason we couldn't get to the finals in 2019 was because of poor goalkeeper.

God bless Nwakali.

When he stepped up, I knew it was over.
TheSuperNerd:
Kelechi Iheanacho was born for this moment!!! To come off the bench for his first taste of action to send The Super Eagles of Nigeria soaring into the final.

WE ARE THE SUPER EAGLES. WE ARE GOING TO THE FINAL FOR OUR FOURTH AFCON TITLE.
