Don’t frget that there was no structure before the pandemic hit. Nigerian government have under funded the health sector for years, that’s why you see even basic things take eternity to put together. Hopefully they would change after this experience

There is no evidence to show that if you are infected that would not be infected again. So at this point only vaccine and containment is the solution.

Herd immunity may be our way out of this. Is simply the process whereby a significant percentage of infected population confers immunity to the rest of the population. This method was used in the management of pas outbreak but can we withstand its effect Thousands of people are already infected in Nigeria. Herd immunity might be the best approach

The palliatives in Lagos is too little. They not only need to share food. They shld also give evryone 20k. to stock up for basic needs.

Rightful observation. The virus would have overwhelmed us by now. All the goverment need do is provide adequate palliative(s) for the citizenry while the lockdown lasts. Its as simple as that!

India just announced they have contained the virus and have relaxed some restrictions. It is really important the government contains the spread and also know where the hot spots are. Opening the economy now would be suicide mission and would risk Nigeria bin locked out from the world when other countries are reopening.

Exactly. It was when Italy started exploding US realized they were dammed. Europeans where not serious, they did not take the virus as a serious threat. A mistake that has cost them a lot. Italy spread it to other parts of Europe, and the whole Europe carried it to USA ☹️
