There are bunch of CMS out there that can make this project as simple as pie.

Just do some research.
Religion / Re: Gospel Of Barnabas: Judas Did Not Betray Jesus? by joftech(m): 9:10pm On Apr 09, 2006
@welborn, tell me, do you belief in traditional African religion?

I doubt that you will say yes. We are conditioned to belief what we are taught when we are born, and we most likely held to it as the truth and doubt anything that's at variance with it.

It's very very possible for someone to repress anybody's view once you are an authority figure.

Read about Galileo Galilei here and see what the Pope did during his time.

enownow does not reflect Naija image at all. I wonder why they are even calling themself Nigeria's Yahoo.

They need to work their own game, and stop copying Yahoo and others
Religion / Re: Gospel Of Barnabas: Judas Did Not Betray Jesus? by joftech(m): 1:56pm On Apr 09, 2006
It seems most of you did not even bother to go throught the content and context of the text.

Let me quote a verse on that site

In a key passage Jesus tells Judas, “You will exceed all of them. For you will sacrifice the man that clothes me.” This indicates that Judas would help liberate the spiritual self by helping Jesus get rid of his physical flesh, scholars said.

That's shows that Jesus(spirit) is asking Judas to help him to bring an end to the flesh clothing him (abi don't you all know Jesus is spirit in human body).

And since Judas has been told he will be the greatest among the rest it does not suprise me if he was treated as an outcast just like Joseph.

At times what you know may not be the truth, just accept new truths as they emerge.

Galileo Galilei was once thought to be crazy.
Politics / Re: NEPA now PHCN (Power Holding Company of Nigeria) by joftech(m): 8:36am On Apr 01, 2006
Power plant financing is not like rolling out a GSM network. It's capital intensive with huge variables.

Government ought to have make NEPA/PHCN a viable entity and if they can't they ought to have done away with her since.

It's a big ruse that search engines can't crawl flash sites. I have read some tricks that you can use to make your flash websites SEFly.

I will post the link when i find it again.
Webmasters / Re: Building A Search Engine Like Google by joftech(m): 3:16am On Mar 13, 2006
The long tail of software. millions of markets of dozens which is what Google is using today to make money was first started by Joe Kraus (of Exite fame), in one interview he said he couldn't figure out how to make money with it and that's basically how Exite fizzled out of the search game.

So maybe our guy saw something we did not see.

If Obasanjo get and win the third term i will definately buy into Transcorp, but if otherwise my money will rather be spent on something that's worth it.
Webmasters / Re: Building A Search Engine Like Google by joftech(m): 3:54am On Mar 12, 2006
bashali, am sorry to say it's like you sounded like you don't know what you are saying and also what we are saying.

The algoritm been mentioned here is not the normal 1970's flow charts your lecturers have been putting into your head.

When we talked about algorithm here, we are talking about how the program get to categorize a page in order to know it's relevance to a search query.

The algorithm really matter and that's what's doing the magic for Google. How i wish i can get the url that's related to PageRank.

All systems like routers, switch, and now search engines have their own algorithm. Bros, seems you need to learn more before you can make people look stupid.
Culture / Re: Google in Yoruba by joftech(m): 2:09am On Mar 12, 2006
I know I am young so i am still dumb, but if its google in yoruba how come the search results come back in english Huh? I was just wondering , but please Cry crysomebody answer my question, Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed

The reason why the results come back in English and some other languages is because those pages are not created in Yoruba, and it's nearly impossible for all content (websites) to have all the languages of the world.

Basically what's Yoruba is the Google interface (website), not the real results.

But you can help Google in converting contents of other pages to Yoruba if you can volunteer.

blablabla, like my people will say "ma se blabla".

You got to the US on a tourist VISA, the next sensible thing for you to do is to exit the country honourably by going to your country at the expiration of your VISA.

If you decided to stay behind you automatically become one of those that have been ruining the chance(s) of thousands of people that are daily refused VISA to the US.

If you are caught you risk not been able to enter the US for the next 10 years if not forever. With what i heard the congress is planning you may face (a) treasonable charge(s) if you are caught as an illegal immigrant.

Don't be carried away about what you see right now. When you fit into the system you will know it's not as easy as it seems.

You caid you are earning 100k/per month (after tax/expenses i presume), how i wish i can be going home with that per month.

With that if you can do some investments am sure you are on your way to ridding a fly SUV in no time.

Think before you leap, you stand a better chance of securing another VISA to the US if you come back without been deported.

Webmasters / Re: Building A Search Engine Like Google by joftech(m): 12:31am On Mar 12, 2006
And i wonder what resource Nigeria has got to warant a dedicated search engine.

Hola2ng if you want to roll your own search engine you may have to come up with a good algorithm first, then thing about having your own filesystem and system design which you will adapt to your algorithm, i have gone through Google's filesystem and the thing is for advanced PhD holders in computer science.

Google uses PageRank, that's something you will most likely never lay your hand on (that's Google's heart and blood).

But i have seen something that's related to Pagerank algorithm before, too bad i can't remember the UR/text again.

There are somy algorithms that you can adapt to your use. But, it's not a simple thing.

I think you will be OK if you can use their (Google) service just like A9.com and Yahoo search started.

But it does contributed to their downfall.

And that's what is giving the Iranian president inspiration that they can do the same thing to the USA. It's a deeply historic, not in the mood for explanations.

templating is allowed

So is anyone ready to sell me the template for the USA nation. At least our people will not need to start from scratch.

Am ready to pay.

I take it that you are not dissin me with that last post of yours, are you?

For the record i started the thread that talked about "The worst Nigerian site" here on Nairaland.

What i only know is that good and bad designers can co-exist in the market, it's only left for clients to determine the bargain they want to get with their money.

Am sure in no time some people will flood this thread flexing their design prowess , thanks to templates.

int d = 9 > 1 ? 3 : 8;

This will be much faster you have cut off two assignment operators for one. Unless of course somehwere else in your code you've overloaded = operator to do something else :-p

This’s a classical example of obfuscated coding.
