They were asked what attracted them to each other, he said her reserved nature, and she said his being focused. It is like saying because he had money. |
delugajackson:It is in Nigeria or among some African populations that this theory holds. While it is true that women generally prefer a man with means to take care of them and their offsprings, it is not true that you must have a job and a house to have a wife. What a woman needs is a man with a clear set of goals and is working towards them. The woman can sometimes be the catalyst that brings success to a man and to themselves. If all women who are ready for marriage should wait for a successful man, they may be waiting for a long time. There aren't enough eligble succesful men at all times available to marry every woman who is ready for marriage. |
Hotstepper:I must add that a Nigerian seeking F1 Student's Visa for a Master program is automatically a suspect to overstay their visa and the US Embassy knows this. A Master's program only requires about one to two years to complete and costs less after which the individual begins to look for ways to stay back and make money with the newly minted degree. They figured out Nigerians. |
Na market o. |
Why did one girl get more money than the other? Was she trafficked more? |
Who be the daddy? All these women preaching marriage to young girls but doing the very opposite. Some role model. |
How come they can't finish the Badagry Express Way? The construction has been going on for over 10 years with no end in sight. Talk about a nightmare. They sold us fake construction as usual while they keep the original stuff. Figures, you can't trust a China man. |
Another Nigerian making us proud. Na wa o. |
VanBommel:If you have never lived in America, you will have a hard time understanding why many people, especially minority groups don't like Trump. America has an ugly past of institutional racism against minority groups, especially black people. It is a dark past that hasn't gone away and Trump's actions through daily twitter utterances and policies is a reminder to minority groups of the ugly past. |
Nigerians who had enough resource to sponsor themselves to the world cup in Russia when others who could not afford the ticket settled to watch the game on TV at home now needs FG's help to be returned to the country. It is unfair to those who could not go but settled to watch the game at home. Going to Russia was a luxury and the Nigerian tax payers should not have to cover the cost of holiday fun seekers. The FG should seek reimbursement from these people. |
They must have learnt from people in India or is it Bangladesh. |
As bad as the allegations of mideeds by the pastor sound, unfortunately, none of it is a crime. He was playing on the weaknesses of his victims. It should only serve as a warning to others not to fall victim by sheepishly doing everything a so called man of God says. There is a sucker born every minute. |
inoki247:The man don tire to dey live in white man's land. |
NaijaElba:If na good looks wey dey win election, na him be say she don win. |
He was rejected by his father at birth, who was a good father to others. Sounds like another male basher and feminist looking for sympathy. If your father didn't want you, he could have walked out of the relationship with your mother but he didn't. |
This should not be a free ride at the expense of the govt. Going to Russia is a luxury and not a necessity. I watched the game at home not because going to Russia did not appeal to me but because it isn't an expense I was willing to bear at this time. If you went to Russia and cannot come back to Nigeria on your own due to issues with ticket or what have you, it is your fault and you should be made to repay the government. The government can recover the expense by garnishing wages of those who are employed among them until the loan is fully paid or directly take money out of their bank accounts with the help of their the BVNs or seize assets of the beneficiaries until the loan is repaid. Nothing is free in life. Some Nigerians should stop embarrassing this country at every turn by trying to game the system. We are not the only people whose citizens went to Russia. Why should our people always have to be the ones that have to be bailed out. This is shere nonsense. |
Definitely, Putin is blackmailing Trump. That is why he keeps praising him. He blasts America's allies at every chance he gets but praises Putin. |
Golf cart used as auto. Our people self. |
You would think the first thing she would think of doing is having the doctors remove the stupid silicone. You cannot buy common sense. |
nabegibeg:Wonder what he'll do when he gets in there?? |
I think this bill is ill conceived. Our problem in Nigeria has never been with making laws but enforcing the laws. The problem with the current policing isn't with the structure, but more with the enforcement. One could argue that the police are poorly trained, poorly paid and poorly funded. I feel that if these areas were addressed properly, we would get better results from the police. I worry about a police force that answers to the Governor of a state or local government heads. Such structure turns the Governor into the administrative head of a fiefdom where he could use his powers to oppress his political opponents or members of an ethnic group that he is not desirous of. If Nigeria is looking to the US system as a good example of State and community policing, I have to say we are in for a rude awakening. Everyday, we read stories of extra judicial killings of US citizens by the local police or state police force, oftentimes due to the racial polarization of the country. I feel that we should learn from their mistakes and keep our police as is. Also, how are the different states going to fund the state police force? The states can barely pay workers on its payroll talk of adding police to it. In the US, the state police is funded from the states budget, while local government policing is funded by property tax from residents. Nigeria does not have a well developed property tax system where every resident pays some form of property tax to the state or town. I say this because our public schools are terrible. It is so bad that most families send their children to private schools, essentially abandoning a public school system that should be providing first rate education to our children. Do you know that in the US, most children graduate from public primary schools because it is well funded by the different towns from property taxes families pay. I also look at our collapsing infrastructure (roads) that are supposed to be maintained by the state and local government, I wonder how we will cope with state policing. |
This is quite comical. |
All these security for one man. Isn't this overkill? |
Lord, please don't allow this to happen. The English will be talking about it for the next 50 years. |
Oluwasaeon:That's what I call a real leader. She's set a good example. |
Alejoc:No be today she begin to remove her clothes. |
Eko ni baje o. |
Perhaps he should look for another line of work that doesn't require good looks. |
Snakes are under siege in Nigeria. The UN should declare it a humanitarian disaster and an endangered specie. |
The woman don enter one chance. Her picture is about to be used as a meme on nairaland and all other social networks over and over. |
Tychamps:How old are you and how old is your wife? How many years have you been married and how many years has this sex thing been going on? If you have been married for say 10 years with kids, don't expect her sexual needs to remain the same. It is possible her body can't take sex three times a week as she used to when she was younger. Your family has also grown with children. It is possible the responsibilities that go with that has worn her down. If I was you,I would lay-off the sex thing until she comes back to the bedroom. Eventually, she's going to ask for it again. Then you'll find a balance where she's comfortable. |
You often hear that these people are rich. What you don't hear is that it is Nigeria's stollen money that made them rich. The wife is just as clever as her husband, always attaching herself to one international NGO or UN agency as cover. And he wants to be president. I saw him the other day laying a wreath at the grave of an unknown soldier in Russia. What a smack on our collective intelligence. |
