The Chioma girl don really upgrade. How long has this relationship been going on? Is it even three months? Next the fool will build a house for her and for her parents. Trust Imo girls. She will bleed him dry before his sense go come back. Mumu boy. |
bettyLad:What other advice do you need? You read the story. Forward it to your hubby. If after reading this story and you both still go ahead to execute your relocation plan, don't blame anybody for your losses. |
Sorry for the loss of your father. It is never easy to lose a loved one. Oftentimes, girls look for their fathers in the person they date or want to marry. If the father is or was very successful, it becomes a mission to find an equally successful man to fill the void left by their fathers. That by itself can be taxing. |
kaorama:Don't say. Wow. There's certainly something wrong with her. Eventually, she's going to come crashing down to earth when Americans get tired of her putting her nose in everything. |
Thank you Susan for highlighting the virtues of a good character. Like you said, it goes beyond BBNaija. A lot of the young women of today go around thinking they are entitled to behave badly because they look good. That will only get you so far before the character trait takes over. Can you imagine bringing a girl like that home to mom and dad as the one only for her to embarrass you with her gaffes? But to digress a little bit, what would someone do with one year's supply of Pepsi...lol? Na wao. That na diabetes the person go carry go. |
kingthreat:Achebe and Soyinka also spent a greater part of their adult lives in America, I know at least as residents, if not citizens, but they used the platform to bring about change in their native country Nigeria. |
kingthreat:I wish this chick can focus on building up her body of work like the people before her (Achebe, Soyinka and others) instead of pushing this feminism stuff in the face of everyone. If Mrs. Clinton doesn't acknowledge the role her husband played in her becoming the US Secretary of State and Presidential candidate, then she wouldn't have gotten as far as she did. Adichie is still missing the point in life. She is still riding high with career success that she believes it is all because of her effort. I don't wish her any ill-luck but she hasn't experienced pain or what people before her including Hilary Clinton, Achebe, Soyinka have gone through before attaining success. Time will tell. I also feel that she has enough problems in her home country Nigeria to address than dabbling in gender equality in America. |
ednut1:What has he accomplished since he came into office? Nothing except rattle the markets. He threatened to deport all Moslems and illegals in America, blaming them for all the problems in that country. The courts have blocked his deportations based on religion as it was against the Constitution. He threatened North Korea with Armageddon and the North Koreans have called his bluff. He has threatened to impose $50bn tarrifs on Chinese products and China promised to return the favour. Now that idea seemed to have been shelved. He is now threatening OPEC. Good luck with that. Trump is nothing but a demagogue who appeals to popular desires and prejudices of his people rather than rational argument. |
dafeyankee:We have a team at Murtala Mohammed International Airport and Seme border waiting for the bloke to arrive Nigeria from abroad. He's just taking too long. |
Linda is now bleaching. How sad. |
Yoruba men and Igbo women have decided they make good partners than their kindred from the same ethnic group. The word out there is that Yoruba men treat their wives kinder than your typical Igbo man while the Igbo woman is said to take care of the home better than your typical Yoruba woman. Is this true or is it just for some people? From my observation, I find that Igbo women more likely to marry a Yoruba man is one that is very educated, perhaps schooled abroad, and has a good career. The women are more likely to be considered feminists and find the modern Igbo man not as progressive as they would like. By progressive, I mean allowing the Igbo woman to carry on with their career as they wish without feeling intimidated. Any thoughts on this observation? |
Stop eating bread or any food made from flour. They are loaded with carbohydrate which is eventually converted to sugar. I know, it is hard to say but trust me once you start, eventually, you won't miss them. Eat yam porridge or beans porridge instead. Don't eat rice except maybe once per week or on Sundays as is customary in most Nigerian households. Stop drinking soft drinks. They are loaded with sugar. Stay away from alcohol, especially beer and spirits. Eat more food with vegetables - vegetable soup, egusi, ogbono soup, ewedu are all okay. Drink akamu with sweet potatoes or akara when you can. Drink lots of water. The weather in Nigeria is hot almost year round and requires that you drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Drinking water also helps flush your system and greatly aids in weight loss. Eat every meal with two 50cl bottles of water or two 50cl sachet water. If you don't like exercise, it's ok. Not everyone does. Just do some walking everyday. If you take public transportation to work, get down from the bus a few bus stops from your final destination and then walk the rest. You can also do the same on your way home. Don't drive yourself everywhere you have to go when it is within walking distance. Walk instead or take public transportation which will make you do some walking. If you follow these instructions, you should see the weight come off within a reasonable time. |
How does one carry out an armed robbery in their own town? It's like stealing from your own family. Didn't they know they will be recognized? RIP to those that lost their lives. What exactly were these robbers thinking, they will kill and go free? |
DivinelyBlessed:Are you even sure she's a girl? It could be a man using a girl's picture to post. |
DonPiiko:Greed. So much greed. The man never ran a business. The only jobs he ever held were in government. Does government work pay this much? He even has the effrontery to ask the courts to quash the FGs move to take over the properties. Na wa for this country. |
Why won't they have Ebola virus. |
Olalan:A Nigerian woman would rather stay with a rich wife beater and philanderer than a poor man who never lays hands on them or sleeps with other women. Not surprised by the outcome. Common sense should have told her to leave the first time he beat her to a coma. By the way, why didn't the police prosecute him when he beat her to a coma? |
Obviously Kenyans and Ethiopians were banned from participating in the marathon. |
Whatever happened to MMM top guider dude, Chudi Ugorji and his wife? He must have known the whole scam was about to go bust and bailed out. There should be an interpol warrant for his arrest. https://www.nairaland.com/3594248/why-mmm-top-guider-chuddy https://www.nairaland.com/3585382/mmm-number-one-guider-chuddy https://www.nairaland.com/3524585/chuddy-ugorji-got-new-suv |
I am so sickened by the manner these innocent victim's body are stacked up against each other. Couldn't the police or whoever was in charge of removing the bodies to the mortuary have the decency to show some respect to these unfortunate victims of this carnage. How would they feel if their loved ones were stacked up against other dead bodies like bags of rice in a pick-up truck? They could have called ambulatory services to remove the bodies in a decent manner. This country has ways to go to learn how to show decency and respect for fellow humans. |
I think the new law is too draconian. I realize they are trying to combat bad behaviour and improve the integrity of the exam but banning a student from resitting an exam for many years is like throwing them in prison and throwing away the key. Young students have to be given a chance to be rehabilitated and succede in life. It's bad enough the country does not offer much in terms of job opportunities for the students that graduate from universities. Now they're are trying to bar a secondary school student from ever having the opportunity to enter university. |
They are lucky to be even getting 60%. Nigeria cannot supply it's own people with gas. Useless country. Has the money earned from the supplies made any difference in the lives of the average Nigerian? The answer is no. The money is going to some of our idiotic elected politicians who promised to solve all of our power problems. |
Nairalanddist:It is not a nice thing to say about someone's mother and sibling. Did he tell you they have HIV and leukemia? Do you know how old the mother is or you're one of those people that post things without thinking its effects? |
I want to start a cement and sugar business to compete against Dangote. Can I get the money now please? |
This lady looks so high maintenance. |
obi4eze:Marriage na business for Nigeria. Women from poor background see marriage to a rich man as a poverty alleviation scheme to pull themselves and their family out of poverty. The men marrying women from rich families see it as elevating their economic and social status to the same level as the super rich. This bloke Jamil is hoping that his father in-law will extend some kindness to him that will elevate his economic status from that of a pilot's wage to a succesful business man. The rich usually help their son in-law's who are not well heeled for sometime to set-up but not for ever. They expect the son in-law's to be able to use the resources provided and grow it into a self-sustaining enterprise. Son in-laws cannot be seen running back to father in-law's every time for maintenance money or they'll quickly fall out of favour with wife and father in-law. That is why the super rich prefer to marry each other. |
I bet her phone will now be ringing like mad from male suitors. |
This must be some kind of sick joke, right? Wasn't it Dana Air that over ran the runway a few months ago and ended in a ditch; or weren't they the same company that one of it doors fell off on landing. This idiots are buying awards to boost their consumer usage. I pray for this country so that one day we will have people with common sense as our leaders. |
olite93:It looks nice but which kind bus go dey come here? If na Danfo they build this edifice for, na him be say them don fail. |
Obviously, she realised there is no pie in the sky. A lot of these young girls think that good looks will always land them a rich man. Her options were getting smaller. And for the guy, you just sat on your hands for 7 years. You no try at all. Not sure what you're celebrating. |
moscobabs:Better yet, let's give him the place to run for four years and see how our lives will change for the better. He didn't become the richest man in the world by mistake. |
obowunmi:That's why a man should always settle with a woman they can afford. If a woman has more money than a man, it is eventually going to bring strain in their marriage. It is even more so in this clime Nigeria where currently there is confusion in gender roles in the society. The women want equality but still expect the man to pay all the bills. Simi comes from a wealthy family. I remember the BBC news site did a story sometime ago on Nigerians who come to London on weekends to shop. She was the person they profiled. She talked about how she spends 5,000 pounds on a shopping spree. I'm not in Dr. Sid's pocket but based on social media popularity, I don't think he makes that kind of money to throw around. https://www.standard.co.uk/lifestyle/30000-a-year-addiction-to-london-how-nigerians-are-becoming-big-spenders-8189336.html |
They look like HIV and leukemia patients
