Congrats to him. Atleast 35% straight to Uncle Sam for taxes which is approximately $350K. |
Hi there, My mom holds a US permanent resident card but she intends To move back to Nigeria. How can she give up her permanent residecy at the embassy in nigeria in exchange for a non-immigrant visa? Thank you |
Not sure how accurate this info is but I'm a nurse anesthetist and i make >$300K/year in texas. Not the norm but I for sure wouldnt take any job that pays <$160K/year anywhere in the country. |
blaize777:An average stay in the NICU is about $3000 per day!! |

If they give you a hard time at the embassy, get yourself a visa and get the passport when you get to nigeria. You could tell them you've never had a nigerian passport. They've got no way to look up old passports from 20 years ago. Make sure you have all the documents for first time passport applicants. |
His disdain for the igbos is very evident!!!! |
How are you planning on returning back to nigeria without a valid nigerian visa or a passport? |
Hi maam, My mom had her interview today but at the end of the interview, my original baptismal card and birth certificate that were sent to the NVC were not returned to her. How do i get those back. Thanks Case number: LGS2014695023 |
babyosisi:YOU DO NOT NEED A SPONSOR AND/OR A LETTER OF INVITATION FROM ANYONE TO APPLY FOR A VISITORS VISA. |
I just double checked the number. Its LGS2014695023 Thanks |
Hi, Do you happen to have an interview date for my mother. Thanks LGS2014695023 |
Hi, While filling out the DS-160, I had indicated that I'll be attending the interview at the embassy in Lagos but I decided to schedule the interview at the Abuja embassy because it was more convenient for me. Is it okay to use the DS-160 even though it says lagos embassy on the DS-160 confirmation page. Thanks |

InvertedHammer:I don't know where you're from but that's some good money. Only about 2% of Americans make over $200K/yr so yeah I'm happy about how much I make. |
InvertedHammer:You just sound so dumb!!!!! Typical Nigerian mentality which is exactly why the country never seems to get ahead when a majority of its citizens are so backwards regardless of how many "degrees" they seem to have. |
new2020:If your wife wants to move to mcallen, tx and is willing to take one call shift a week and a weekend call every month, with her 10 years of experience, we can start her off at $186,000/year plus 54,000 for taking calls (6 weeks paid vacation). Let me know if she's interested. I can have a representative from northstar anesthesia call her within the next 24 hours. If she has OB experience, it's $2100 for 24hr OB shifts. Pay for Crna's depends on where you live. In NYC, starting pay for Crna is about $125,000 which is something a new grad nurse makes in San jose, CA. http://www.gaswork.com/mobile/post/view/163420/ That's one of of job postings on gaswork for OB. Not every Nigerian is out there to scam you. Never ever in your life think you know everything because you probably don't. And yes, Some CrnA's make way more than family practice physicians. |
I'm a "male" nurse anesthetist that make a base salary of $245,000/year. You can call me whatever you want but i'm laughing all the way to the bank |
Hi Vo, I have a few questions regarding my moms pending immigrant application at the national visa center. Her application was approved by uscis and was forwarded to NVC. I got all the supporting documents sent to NVC few months ago and I got a response yesterday about missing documents. 1. They are asking for my moms birth certificate. I had sent her baptismal card and the birth registration from the national population and it seems like that's not sufficient. They are asking for a "certified statement from the appropriate government authority stating the reason that the applicants birth record is not available". My mom was born in the 1940's and hence, there were no registration of births at the time. Do you know what agency I should get this letter/statement from? 2. My dad passed away 15 years ago and my mom never remarried. I included a copy of his death certificate from the hospital in Nigeria and according to NVC, that isn't sufficient enough. Do you know what else I need to include? 3. They are also asking for a Nigerian police certificate. I thought it was only required before/during the interview in lagos. 4. They are also asking for my birth certificate even though I had included my baptismal card and birth registration from the national population. Just FYI: my moms case # is LGS2014695023 I would really appreciate if you could help me out. Thank you! |
Don't waste your money. Your application will be refused again as your living situation hasn't changed in 2 months. Save your money. princesszizi: @Vicjustice, thanks for the prompt reply. I was actually misled into hiding that fact by someone whom I was introduced to and who claimed to be an expert in visa applications and related issues. I related my circumstances to her but she advised against my mentioning my fiancé in the applications, her reasons being that the mention of a fiancé may give the ECO the impression that I do not intend to leave the UK; that I am actually going there to settle permanently. My fiancé was supposed to send me an invitation then but she advised against it. That was how I got myself into this mess now. Pls, what do you advise me to do now? Do I forget about applying for now? I really wish I can be by my fiancé when he graduates in November. |
OP, where's your picture? |
Are you gay?? What kinda dumb question is that! |
Sorry about your brother! First of all, a lot of kids do have idiopathic seizures without any known cause but having said that, a lot of things have to be ruled out first. Seizures are a Symptom of disorganized electric activity in the brain that could be caused by a whole lot of things. First step is getting some blood work done to see if some electrolytes are out of wack and could be the cause of the problem especially hypercalcemia. If everything comes out normal, then The next step would be getting an MRI of the brain. That immediately will tell if there are lesions or any tumor in the brain that's triggering the seizure. If that comes out nournal and everything else has been ruled out, then Your brother probably have idiopathic seizures and will probably outgrow it. He'll need to be put on Dilantin or any other anti-seizure medication that works best for him in preventing anymore seizure episodes |
obodoyibo: @johnkent.....it is not 72 hours......16x6 is 96hrs.......at the moment my sis works 7 days a week.....16x7 is 112hrs a wk........and now I have 2 sisters working that same number of hours a wk.....they are both LVN and not RNHow could someone possibly work 112 hours every week Not feasible my friend. |
obodoyibo: @prettyprettywowWith the $140,000 and working 72/hr per week like you said, your sister as an LPN would be making $40/hr. Haha. U need to check your numbers buddy. There's no LPN making $40/hr |
Bitcoin: This is a funny post, I know nurses who make over $240,000 a year in NY, now bear in mind they have two jobs and work several hours of overtime. Now, that's completely false for NYC. I got numerous job offers in NYC as a nurse anesthetist and the most I got was $130K/year and that's as a CRNA. I don't care how much a regular nurse works in NYC, YOU WILL NOT MAKE OVER $140K. For $140K, that nurse might as well live in the hospital. |
adconline: You will never agree.. It's better to read up than to argue. US doctors out of medical are paid peanuts. U have to be a specialist to be paid that much. adconline: You will never agree.. It's better to read up than to argue. US doctors out of medical are paid peanuts. U have to be a specialist to be paid that much. What do you mean by peanuts? An average primary care physician here in the states makes atlesst $140k/year minimum. That doesn't sound like peanut to me!!! |
I'm a nurse anesthetist (CRNA) and I make $250K/year. |
drake2005: Lets stop all the hate and insolence directed at Sen. Yerima. His intent might sound pedophilic, however, he makes a strong legal argument in the interview. Did you guys watch the video clearly? I want us to approach this debate sensibly, intelligently and factually. The man said he is following the teachings and religion of Islam. That, if Islam forbade such or if the Quran says otherwise, he will back out. Now, here is where it gets tricky, Nigerian constitution guarantees the practice of Islam in Nigeria; in order words, what he is doing is legal and within the confines of the law. Do I support this; No. I'm only interpreting the facts. We should direct our anger at Islam and not him. Have the Imams spoken in droves against him? No.Your interpretation and his makes absolutely no sense. You can't be breaking laws under the disguise of your religious beliefs. Yes, you can practice whatever religion you want but as a country, we still have laws. It’s illegal to get married to anyone younger than 18 years old and the Nigerian constitution doesn't give a F what your Quran or bible says. What’s the point of making laws if anyone including this senator can decide to do whatever they want based on their religious beliefs?? How about I tell you that my "bible" says its okay to murder someone if I don't like them? Does that make it okay to Kill someone?? |
Not feasible my friend.
