That's a mannequin or an adult doll. Look closely...in fact even without looking, you'll know that it is an inanimate object. The leg muscles are stiff and don't move from the joints, same with the arms. |
englishmart:Everton finished 12th and 10th under Ancelotti. Mid table finishes and not Relegation bound |
OP i think you just confirmed that the "old" photos are recent. The blue roofing sheet from the "new" photos can be seen from a section of the "old" photos posted. I think both pictures were taken at the same time. My observation anyway, i maybe wrong ![]()

Nigeria is indeed a funny place. Imagine being deported from a city to a village in your country |
tollyboy5:Does it always have to be outsiders that have to enlighten you on the resources you have in your country? Nigeria has by far more gas than Oil, in fact Nigeria is more of a Gas producing nation than an oil producing one. A very great percentage of Nigeria's vast gas resources (mostly untapped) are domiciled in its core south-east region. In this season of Energy Transition, Gas is more useful to Nigeria and the world at large than Oil 1. Nigeria's Power Sector is almost 80% powered by gas 2. Nigeria's Manufacturing sector needs gas more than anything else. 3. The petrochemical sector also needs gas 4. The Food processing and packaging industry needs gas 5. About 30 Million out of 200 million Nigerians utilise LPG for domestic use. 6. Your Agricultural sector needs Gas for the production of fertilisers 7. Europe and the world needs Gas, you get huge forex benefits from exporting gas as well. Gas is the new Gold!! |
banku:You just validated what i said about a lot of yorubas being gaslighters and catalysts in aggression. When their victims rise up in defense, they twist the narrative to become the victims of aggression, while blaming the victim for trying to defend themselves. Here's the video of the event you stated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nYhwxdO1Z4?feature=shared Now tell me, Thugs came into a neighborhood wielding weapons, attacking and injuring voters, snatching and destroying election materials of voters in broad day light and within the presence of the police. And after sometime the brutalised regrouped courageously and defended themselves with sticks and planks from the assault and then you term it "a Yoruba man labelled thug was shot to death by Igbo thugs or just activists". The aggressor claiming to be the victim, the thug branding his victims as thugs, the gun wielder branding the assaulted as gun men when all they had was courage and sticks. Can you show me anywhere the voters were found with guns in that video? Yet you said that "a yoruba man branded a thug was shot" changing the narrative from the criminality of the thug to be a victim won't distort the reality of events. Hello Mr. Banku Did you just say elections were more peaceful in lagos than any other part of the country? Well that would be a very big ironical statement. I was an observer right from the election campaigns down to the elections themselves and everyone would agree with me that campaigns of oppositions that went smoothly in all other parts of the country went awry and violent in the south west especially in Lagos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sfJn3a6qSc?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIHRtTtCZic?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QFvDzZYjQJ8?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2hYPEOylls?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XejvobD9MTQ?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0MDQgVz2eaE?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB0OB_Q7Cbs?feature=shared Now lets come down to the elections, Lagos had one of the Worst set of killings and election violence in the entire country apart from some hotspots in the north where some senatorial candidates were wielding guns in broad day light and another burnt some opposition alive. It's quite notable that in all these the APC party bore 79% of all aggression recorded nation wide, however election thuggery, violence and crime had a much wider spread in the SW region of the country, to be precise lagos and Ogun had a lion share of this. In abule ado area of lagos state alone 3 were reported dead while there were multiple that escaped with bullet wounds from sponsored thugs. Multiple cases of ballot snatching, destruction of election materials, tribal attacks, destruction of goods and properties, threats to life etc were witnessed live in the presidential and gubernatorial elections more in lagos than in any other part of the country. |
Zico5:It's interesting how effortlessly individuals twist narratives to suit their campaign of calumny. Mr. Ziko, please can you provide the video of the man who was beaten for voting Tinubu. To the best of my knowledge, earlier this year during the elections i saw a video of a man in one of the south eastern states of Nigeria (Anambra to be precise) leaving the voting ground amidst jeers from a handful of people. Nobody laid hands on him or came close to him. He was allowed to leave the voting venue on his own peacefully without any harm whatsoever although with jeers from a handful of people. That's the highest level of incident that happened in the entire SE against an opposition. Here's the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_CVh6csijg?feature=shared Now compare this with the outright threats, killings, maiming, injuries inflicted by touts, tyranny, insubordination, burning down and looting of businesses and even outright disenfranchisement metted out by Yorubas to anyone who looked like an Igbo person irrespective of the candidate one wished to vote out of the three major contenders (Atiku, Tinubu or Obi). The hardcore hatred was in full glare for all to see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BG92Ax__t0?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5rx4iMblOVg?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YzT5bSIGL9g?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6bKXchM1Rxo?feature=shared https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnS97AQlvMU?feature=shared And you stand here complaining about a handful of people jeering at one who was allowed to vote peacefully and go home without harm. You should be ashamed of yourself, you are EVIL !!! Even after elections the Yorubas of Nigeria are the only ones who go about demolishing the real estate of their opponents, yet they cry to be the victims. You lots love to tell lies and twist narratives to suit your agenda and gaslight others into mob actions. Overtime, i have learnt a lot from Nairaland about the recurring individual attitudes of the three major Nigerian tribes and i must say from what i have seen, a lot of Yorubas are not wonderful in terms of overall character. Whatever a yoruba man accuses another of, look closely he is committing a far much 100x more grevious offence than that. |

Laughs* If you know, you know. I'm surprised Nigerians haven't discovered by now. Ekpa is actually an undercover agent of the Nigerian Government. He spearheaded an operation whose major aim was to infiltrate and cause division, confusion and havoc within Ipob and ESN. IPOB realised this late, that's after Kanu had already been incarcerated. They dissociated themselves from him but it was too late, he had already gained a cult followership by then. He's still actively working against Kanu's release. Though in words he may say he's a disciple of Kanu and a freedom fighter for the Igbos, but if you observe, all his actions contradicts this. He has singlehandedly sabotaged the economy of the south east, and countlessly shed the blood of his own people in gruesome ways one can't imagine (something Kanu was totally against). The death toll and mayhem caused by him and his breakout group are far much more than that inflicted by the Nigerian government on the Igbos. While he engages in these nefarious activities, he's mostly cheered on by many who dislike the igbos, even here on Nairaland as well, (some hide under newly created monikers while others show themselves for who they are) you can observe this for yourself. To me, it doesn't make any sense at all, the Igbos ought to have started asking themselves, whose side is this guy on? He has inflicted more pain on Igbos than their openly perceived enemies and actively opposes anything his 'acclaimed' leader says, actively working against the the original goal of Ipob and ESN while pretending to be a freedom fighter and purveyor of the Biafran cause. Ask yourself this question, why is the Nigerian government reluctant to extradite him from finland irrespective of all the hard evidence of brutal murder and criminal activities they have. Kanu was not known to commit any crime nor was he found guilty of any crime in the Nigeria Courts and elsewhere however he was hunted and constantly persecuted and kidnapped illegally by the Nigerian government, but Ekpa is the direct opposite but the Nigerian govt hasn't dared to cough talk less of starting an extradition procedure. A well known Nigerian senator was so eager to call him 'the president of Igbo land', same senator that loathed and hated his 'acclaimed' principal, Nnamdi Kanu to the core. What changed? There are lots of questions i can bring up, but I'll leave you Nigerians to think for yourselves. |
Christistruth00:Look at the profile of the person you're replying to, he's a well known troll and that spreads misinformation on this platform, utilizing reverse psychology as a weapon of confusion and infighting amongst people. Modified. I just checked your profile as well. Never knew you both were comrades. I just lost 5 precious minutes i will never get back. |
Austineva:In this matter it's best you stay neutral because there's more to the eyes than you can see. |
planetx:Finally!!! Someone gets the gist, those guys occupying Israel are fake Jews. The Hebrews and Jews you read about in the holy books live closer to you than you imagine. |
LeoDeKing AKA Omenka always spent his time bashing, bullying and denigrating people here on Nairaland. He is Very popular for vilifying Peter Obi and his supporters, calling them all sorts of despicable names and spreading evil propaganda. Who would have thought that he had huge skeletons in his cupboard. I'm not surprised though. |
Thislifesef:Well said! I like how well you articulated your points. I still choose to differ on some points, however one major positive i got from this conversation is that I have finally seen someone with a different stance that I'd engage on this platform that doesn't resort to insults when a different opinion arises. Please more of this! |
badoh:Una don carry tribalism mentality enter this charade. As a man thinketh, so is he in his heart. Most people like to project their thoughts onto others because they believe everyone thinks like them. So when i see someone projecting tribal sentiments when it's uncalled for, in most cases i see that person as the guilty party. Back to the topic, I haven't commented on this Niger Coup brouhaha because i didn't deem it necessary. We should all let sleeping dogs lie (live and let live). The people of Niger decided to do what they think is best for them, they are also happy with the short term outcome. If a military govt. Is going to hurt them in the long run, na them sabi, it's none of our business. If a military govt. Is going to bring them prosperity in the long run, congrats to them, na them sabi, it's none of our business as well. There is no need to struggle with anybody concerning any issues. This world is big enough to contain everybody. It's greed, unchecked ambitions, envy, hatred and all evil vices that come from within that make leaders to wage wars. Wars are first fought in the head before it metamorphoses into a physical conflict. Live and let live. |
tunwumi:OK |
tunwumi:Let me break it down for your granular understanding. The Contract was entered voluntarily by 235 local governments (hereafter referred to as the consortium) AGAINST the FG in june 11 2013 to recover money owed by the FG. Meaning the consortium of LGs was a client of the instigator, they (the consortium of LG's) won the case on December 13, 2013 and furthermore were awarded the payment to the tune of 3.18 billion dollars by the Federal High Court. It is noteworthy that there had been no issues or problem whatsoever and he had been paid the agreed legal fees until July 4th, 2015 when the instigator filed against the LG's to recover what he termed "contingency fee" On October 30th 2015 , the dodgy and very interesting judgement was enacted which provided that the instigator was "entitled to be paid 10% of any recovery made and or of proceeds from any source whatsoever of the [2013] Judgment.” as the "contingency fee" Everything was going on well until the Mafia of the last admin came in, Looks to me like someone wants a slice of the cake. Unsurprisingly, there are other similar dubious cases that sprang up this way since the advent of the Buhari Administration. Which begs the question "Why didn't Edwards nor other lawyers in other similar cases like this seek redress for humongous bonuses during the GEJ admin". He had to wait for 2 years (after GEJ had left office) to perpetuate such evil. To me, he's just a frontliner, there's someone pulling the strings behind and this/these person(s) have also done same in other cases since the advent of the last admin, thereby becoming overnight billionaires to the benefit of their private pockets and the detriment of Nigeria as a nation.

tunwumi:You mustn't resort to insults all the time. A simple glance at the material you posted would have given you the information you needed. Here's a snippet from YOUR source. The unwise and dodgy judgement that has now plunged the nation into another round of debt was enacted in October 2015 please who was in power at the time? Please read before typing

tunwumi:Didn't you see October 2015 GEJ was president until February 2015 Why do people love to shift the goal post and blame others all the time |
LegendHero:First, Hamza is not from lagos state, He's from Ogun. So he's actually an impostor and not 'ruling his state'. Secondly, do you know the meaning of Naturalization and renouncing one's original country of birth? It simply means he swore by oath that he's no longer a Nigerian and he has renounced all his allegiance to Nigeria as a citizen by birth, or by marriage or by any means whatsoever. He is now a full American Citizen. Can you have a Ghanian or Russian running for Governor or Deputy governor in your state? |
SalamRushdie:More like a pre-empted action to seek public validation. Let's see how things eventually pan out. |
JaceBlaze:Truth is, this might just be a conspiracy theory, or maybe not. |
Samantha124:Just a case of biological weaponry. I knew this was going to come sooner or later after SA took a different stance from the western powers. Look, same happened to Turkey, to Iran, to North Korea, to China. Any country that openly defies their ordinance gets hit by their biological weapon just shortly afterwards. |
jidxin:Don't mind the ignoramus, 50% is already a controlling interest in any generic business. |

Exc2000:Funny enough i think your people are guilty of what you accuse other Nigerians of. In Psychology we call this the mental projection. Which means one is more likely to accuse others of what one is guilty of because he/she assumes that everyone thinks/acts the way he/she does. |
As from experience, once you start building without necessary permits in lagos, sooner than expected be sure to see a giant "X" marked with red paint on your fence as a stop work notification from the lagos state authorities, telling you that you can only proceed to build when they're satisfied that all necessary documents are available. Please i need to be convinced on how it wasn't the case here and why some selected houses were destroyed and not all the houses lined up on the area they dubbed as "construction along pipeline and in close proximity to the Murtala International Airport, Lagos". Does it mean that the other houses situated in the same illegally occupied area on the same stretch of land which were not destroyed were built on air? I'm actually not understanding. Please convince me on how this isn't a case of revenge or witch-hunt. |
1) There are 36 states and 1 territory, so there were a total of 36 + 1 = 37 areas where people applied from. If there are 100 people in each state, then there were a total of 100 x 36 = 3,600 people who applied from the states. Adding the 120 people from the territory, there were a total of 3,720 people who applied. To recruit at least 25% of people from 2/3 of the states and the territory, the firm needs to choose from at least (2/3 x 37) = 24 areas. 25% of 100 people in a state is equivalent to 0.25 x 100 = 25 people. 25% of 120 people from the territory is equivalent to 0.25 x 120 = 30 people. Therefore, the firm needs to recruit at least 25 x 24 states + 30 from the territory = 630 people. So the minimum number of people the firm should at least employ is 630. |
oodua1stson:Close your mouth if you don't have anything to say. I was privileged to be in Anambra during Mbadinuju's tenure, Ngige's tenure and Obi's tenure. During the tenure of the former two, touts, criminal warlords, kidnappers, Godfathers and all sorts of criminal elements ruled the state. It even got to a point that a state of emergency was to be declared in Anambra. When it was time for Obi to rule, the very first thing Peter Obi did during his tenure was to sweep the state of clean of all these elements before building the healthcare system, educational system, infrastructure and commercial aspects of the state's economy. Upper iweka that used to be the headquarters of daredevil criminal elements was sanitized to the extent that one could walk safely through upper iweka by 8:00 pm and fear nothing, something that had never happened before , not even policemen had the temerity to do so. |
