For the first time in years, harvest season came and there was no dip in food prices.

Instead of probing these disturbing signs, they are projecting a senseless budget to fuel their urge to loot
Rewane is right!

Is either BVN or NIN
Hopefully, I use the other regulatory IDs for my Tier 3 accounts though I have the NIN

Damidave1124:
So there are people still banking with thses commercial banks without BVN?

We were made to queue in the sun for long in 2015/2016 just to enrol for this BVN.
That should be right question to ask and on the issue of curbing terrorism financing and money laundering, a lot still need to be done because there is a wide loopholes in the system.

I've read so many things up there that I can't even wrap my head around it. Pantami for example was heavy about using NIMC to track down the activities of those who kidnap for ransom and all that but we know how the story goes, nothing materialize after the whole noise.

Implementation seems to be one of our problem in this country, not rolling out initiatives but how do they intend to implement it.

Read the news again
I read the news and I'm telling you for a fact that NIN or any other regulatory IDs and plus a recent utility bill aside BVN is the minimum requirement for Tier 3 accounts in Nigeria.

What was specified in the news is bank accounts without either BVN or NIN. Banks opening accounts regardless of the tier Without BVNs should be held responsible first. Even the neo banks will request for your BVN before an account would be open for you.

It wasn't done.

There's a UBA bank account I opened in 2009.

I still get alert every month today without BVN or NIN.
that account is dormant and on PND/restriction.

Pierocash:
So you mean there are still bank accounts still being operated without bvn, and Nin?

Cbn should not only freeze the accounts, but withdraw operating licenses of such bank for economic sabotage
Chief, aside BVN which is mandatory for all bank accounts, tier 1 and tier 2 require nothing like NIN during documentations.

So the aim is for Tier 3 accounts

The stooges days ago were shouting Eureka when a Nigerian was killed because they've been wired to see such as druggie (wouldn't blame them though, many unscrupulous elements are out there ready to damage our already damaged image) little did we know that they have a full blown existential crisis, the depravity over there is alarming.

It's pitiful.

That's the thing with life, we always think we have it rough until someone share their own story, reason, I keep my story to myself while I wish those going through their hell well.

Life's not a level playing field no matter how we choose to gloss over it. Bad things have happened and worst could still happen but all in all, life goes on.

I can only imagine the pain of the OP and what he's passing through at moment.

Cmanforall:
What is your brand?

This is the simple explanation. Surprised people are advising she should call out the bank on all social media. I read all she wrote, amd her transactions are complex. She should contact whoever made the payment for her to reactivate his bank account so she could receive her refund. She should have also added reason this third party's account is no longer functioning

It is the Uni that is refunding her money, and not the bank. Now think of it what if it is fraudulent request? I mean someone uses her name to ask the Uni to refund to a different account number?
That is why they always refund to same account number that paid them, so it shows received from account A to our Uni is being paid back to the same account A (which is Refund)
Thank you sir.

The dangers of one sided story.

Sadly, many have bought into the tribal sentiments flying around without probing further.

International anti-money laundry law requires that funds must go back to where it came from. Neither the school nor the bank is at fault here.
So what's the point of refunding then?

Maybe the international AML will shed more light on that too.

Please do. The trend doesn't have to continue. Let your child remember you and be filled with fond thoughts.

The Ẹfọ that I cooked over the weekend was sent across many states to me by my dad from his farm. My mum added fish, ground pepper and other condiments. They know I can afford it but I'm still their baby. Till tomorrow, my dad is still the one who always first calls to wish me happy birthday. He can call for Africa, I'm his special baby.

This life is too complicated, too burdensome, too surly to be travelled alone. Get a good woman, make a family, create time, quality time and bond with them. It is sweet.
Thank you for the words.
