And if not for that same oil your pretend patriotism to one nigeria will cease immediately.

Hypocrite!
Stop deceiving yourself kid. Nigeria civil war to keep Nigeria one was fought long before oil was discovered. Even your grandfathers supported Nigeria and betrayed Ojukwu by allowing Nigerian troops in the Niger Delta to attack Biafran troops through the back door. During that time your grandfathers were parasites on the groundnuts produced in the north and cocoa produced in the west. They simply were not doing anything than to go fishing, drink and Bleep your grandmothers to give birth to lazy and ungrateful hypocrites like you. Even the biafrans had something to contribute in the form of palm produce.

in your comment you claim buhari has right to personal liberty, in 2010 when Yaradua is out of the country buhari is part of the people claiming the government must tell the people about health condition of Yaradua. so you mean in 2010 buhari doesn't know their is freedom to personal liberty or it was not in the constitution in 2010 or you are just commenting in the name of I have commented also ?
That is where you are getting things wrong and muddled up.

In 2010, Yar'adua never handed over to the then vice president. he never wrote any letter to the Senate to inform them of his vacation or health problem. He was rushed out of the country at night with an air ambulance from the national hospital.

That event created a power vacum in the country because there was no President and there was no directive for the Vice president to take over in acting capacity. That was what people clamoured for then that GEJ should be allowed to takeover in acting capacity before he was confirmed as the substantive president after his (Yar'adua) eventual death. Bottom line is that, Yar'dua was not on leave/vacation so he was using public time to treat his private affair.

In 2017 there is a big difference because PMB did what the constitution requires of him. He duely handed over to the Vice president to start acting in his capacity. there is no power vacum created. and of he should dia now (God forbid) their will be no problem confirming Osinbajo as the substantive president. Bottom line here, unlike Yar'adua, PMB is using his private time provided for him in the constitution to deal with his private issue. So you'll should respect his privacy.

You need to read wide and comprehend issues to know the difference. I don't just comment, I comment with substance and meaning. Maybe you should look in the mirror and see who is commenting for comments sake.

For every disappointment, there is always a blessing in disguise. Truly, the dollar hike has opened our eyes to local producution and as a result boost exportation; I agree.
But, don't you think the masses would die of hunger even before we can achieve stability in forex. Inflation is so high that employees are now living in deficits.

Someone that earns 30k now spends almost 40k on sustenance. How on earth will that person meet other obligations.

We need a quick solution otherwise things would go bad.
I like your presentation but I have to say their is no quick fix to anything one intends to make permanent.

We are used to importing everything so much so that we are now convenient with distroying our economy to import.

We have enjoyed what we shouldn't in the past. This is the present price we must pay to correct the future. Presently, things have not been as bad as it was in the mid 90s of abacha regim when people even the so called rich ones were cooking with wood and coal. I am very sure Nigeria is beyond that and we can never go back to that but we have to pay the price of our senseless behaviour of importing everything.

2016 was used to test local production of rice, I'm sure before the end of 2017 we would have matured a bit more in it's production.

I am very sure by 2019, Nigeria will have stabilize to a large extent and it will be upward movement from their. My only concern is the southern youths who instead of seeing the potentials in this present economy and keying into it are protesting on politics that does not concern them.

The north is silent because almost everyone is going back to farm. By the time everything is set, those people in the north will be feeding the whole of west Africa with their production while the south will remain the consuming part of the country and still wailing.

Buhari lavishing tax payers money is not my business abi? I vote for him and I paid my tax , so it is my business ok. You are a kid who doesn't pay tax that is why you think it not your business for you to no were your president is grin grin tongue
From your comment, it shows you've never for once paid a single tax in your life. Prove me wrong if you've ever done so.

FYI I work with an audit firm, I've worked in 3 different banks and a popular revenue generating company in Lagos as an accountant so I know fully well what it means to pay tax and I've been doing so probably before you were born.

Buhari is the President of the federal republic of Nigeria everything he does (apart from his business and his family) either public (that concerns you) or private (that is non of your business) must be financed by the tax payers money. So this one is part of the private and it is non of your business or anyone else's in particular.

The fact that he offers to inform Nigerians of his private and personal plan does not give anyone the liberty to want to ceusify him for what he is doing. Like lai Mohammed said, he is a victim of his own transparency.

When was the last time you heard that your state governor is going for leave or does it mean he doesn't go for leave?

Boy, you need to educate yourself with real and better education. Read wide and show patience while listening but at the same time, use your wisdom to read between the lines.

And that is how buhari was transparent when in 2010 Yaradua is out of the country because of health issue abi?
This is the problem with Nigeria. Poorly educated youths who cannot differenciate events.

FYI, the reason Yar'adua's case generated so much fuss was because he never applied for leave or vacation and never directed the vice president to act in his capacity. He was flown out of the country in a state of emergency with an air ambulance and never had the opportunity to hand over.

It created a power vacum because the president was incapacitated and there was no directive from him that the vice should act in his stead.

This, meanwhile is a didlfferent ball game entirely. The president has already directed his vice to act in his stead as the acting president while he goes on his constitutional leave.

Obama did the same in the US when he went on leave and his vice president acted in his stead only that nobody knew what he did during his vacation but PMB was transparent enough to tell us what he plans to do during his vacation.

Learn to read wide and know the difference between cases.

Dear Southern Nigeria,

At what time will you wake up to reality. Did u see the North participating in the #IstandwithNigeria PROTEST? It's simple, There's a silent agricultural revolution going on in the North. Northerners are cashing out on their agriculture produce, Kebbi, Kano, Jigawa, Benue, Plateau, Kaduna etc. While we are here wailing & protesting with an "IMPORT" dependant mindset, the "illiterate" Northerner is exporting ginger, garlic, sesame seeds etc and earning forex at N500 to $1. WHO IS THE FOOL HERE? Why can't our people take advantage and concentrate on the finished products of these agricultural produce and industrialize our area? Didn't we see how they tested LAKE RICE( Lagos- Kebbi Race) as they call it. Are we not seeing Dangote, Bua & top companies moving northwards to establish processing mills, tomato factories etc. That's how we will waste 4 years insulting and cursing Buhari while the North will gradually be feeding the whole of West Africa. My people, this is not the time to protest but a time to put your thinking cap. Nigeria imports more rice than the entire European Union! We are the 2nd largest importer of rice in the world and we want $1 to remain at N150 at a time when crude oil is $57? We have no business with the dollar if we consume what we produce. A word is enough for the wise.

Jonathan is Responsible for the Religious Crisis in Nigeria - Bishop Musa Fomson Reveals

Bishop Musa Fomson of the Middle Belt Patriotic Front has accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of being the one behind the religious crisis in the country.

Former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has been accused of masterminding the religious crisis in the country. This claim was made by the national chairman fo the Middle Belt Patriotic Front who faulted recent comments by Jonathan at the US Congress where he reportedly claimed that religion was tearing the nation apart.

Jonathan had at the event that his administration’s political will to halt impunity in Nigeria led to the localisation of religious extremism in the Northeast with occasional killings in other zones of the North, according to DailyPost.

Jonathan had also further said that also reached out to the “Muslim Ummah in Nigeria, His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III,” whom he was able to convince to “publicly condemn Islamic extremism in Nigeria.”

But, while speaking to journalists in Abuja, the national chairman of the forum, Bishop Musa Fomson described the statement by the ex-president as reckless and unpatriotic.

He said, “It was the mindlessness of his administration that amplified the schism to a point where persons that were once neutral learnt to hate adherents of other faiths. It was Goodluck Jonathan that made religion and ethnicity into campaign issues in order to cover the incompetence of his rule in the quest for re-election.”

Fomson accused the former president of sowing the seeds of division through his, “ill advised romance with the then President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, who even ran errand as weapons buyer, and was instrumental to reducing Christendom into the current level where whatever CAN has to say is being second guessed.”

Lalasticlala, mynd44, Seun. Kindly take this article down and replace it with the one above.

The one in this original thread from naij.com is laced with half truth designed to mislead the public and sow the seed of enemity among Muslims and Christians which is against what seun preached in one of his threads that we should tolerate each other. How do we tolerate each other with this kind of misleading information from popular sites.

The writer intentionally omitted the fact that Musa Femson is a Christian and a Bishop at that. This is to make people believe Musa must have being a Muslim judging by his first name.

He is Bishop Musa Femson and he is speaking on behalf of an assoiciation that would include more than one Christian.

Kindly regularise to stem the tide of this hatred arising from misinformation by a mischievous blogger.

Mr. man Musa Femson is a Bishop. Most online forums and blogs are owned christians who would manipulate the truth to paint Muslims bad. Just because Musa appears in his first name, the bloggers decided to remove his bishophood to make it sound like a Muslim cleric.

I don't know what Christians aims to gain with their half truths.

Suleiman has been confronted with the consequence of his actions, he has kept quiet.

The supplier of weapons to this people that were caught were christians.

The importer of weapons caught by customs is a Christian.

Even the CAN president also used his private jet to ferry cash to buy weapon.

Now the person she's close to the most is evicted and she's finding it hard to cry.

This story doesn't add up.

• John: John was the only one of the original disciples not to die a violent death. Instead, he passed away peacefully in Patmos in his old age, sometime around 100 AD.
If John died in 100 AD that means he must have lived for a hundred years even after the death of Jesus christ.

The counting of AD actually is a short form of After Death (After the Death of Christ) while the counting was BC which stood for Before Christ" (Before the coming of Christ).

Lets now add 100 to the age John was at the time Christ "died". He must have been well into his hundred years.
