akthedream:Abeg how Efe con take enter nomination book. |
aku626:Exactly my point. The same system practiced in the north is the same with the Arabs. That is why to kill terrorism in the Arab nation will be very hard because for every victim of terrorism, there are dozens of interconnected families that will be hurt and rooting for revenge but kill a southerner, you will be surprised that even his immediate family may not attend his funeral. It is very hard to penetrate them but once you do, whatever ideology you introduce to them will spread like wildfire. |
ItsTheBachelor:Believe me we are not cowards in the south an average southerner is braver than an average northerner relatively speaking. The only problem we have is the way our society is set up. The society of the northern elite is set up in such a way that everyone is intertwined and interconnected in one way or the other. A governor in Sokoto can be the cousin of the governor in Niger while also being the in-laws to the presidents and a host of other powerful people in the country. When pressures are mounted on you from all sorts of angle, you're bound to buckle at some point. Go and study their community well, the ones that are morally upright and ready to fight corruption to a halt do not belong to the traditional elite society. They are the ones who had struggled to get to where they are. They are the ones who had seen it all as the downtrodden in the society. They are the ones who had seen firsthand what corruption can do to the society. They are the ones who have no ties and loyalty to the "royal" society. They come from the middle and lower classes of the society e.g. Ibrahim Magu, Ahmadu Alli, Nuhu Ribadu. The moment you start hearing that a son or daughter of this people is getting married to a member of the traditional "royal" society, know that they will soon start to compromise on their values. |
omenkaLives:The properties are been forfeited because they know they won't be prosecuted further. That is why they are putting up little or no fight. If they know there's the possibility of them been prosecuted further, they will fight dirtier than they are doing presently. they won't mind burning down the country rather than loose their freedom. Presently the country is not organised enough to contain their criminal tendencies. Their cases are on ground already so it can be pulled out against them anytime they are running for a post. Remember Obanikoro is returning money already. It is because he knows he won't be prosecuted further but the fact is that evidences are against him that he took government money and he is returning it. If Olisah Metuh knew all this from the start, he would have gently accepted to return his loot instead of suffering himself in kuje prison. |
Who advice this one to go but this flat car for naija. Wrong car for Nigerian roads. |
hmmm. It is now they start feeling what it means for someone to trespass into your private culture believing they know better than you. BTW they were the first known terrorists even before the 19th century. |
bluaero:I will not bore you with the retorics of 2baba benefited from this and that. It is an argument for another day. With the country bedevilled with so many different security issues from biafra groups, to Fulani herdsmen, boko haram, millitants the Shiites all of which we all know as Nigerians, are been sponsored by Nigerian politicians for different benefitial reasons. This is what I will ask. who are the sponsors of the protest. Occupy Nigeria, we know. It was sponsored by a group formed for that purpose. US protest against D.Trump, we know. It is supported and sponsored by ACLU. Chibok Girls? we know them. led by ezekwesili. iStandwith2baba? who are the sponsors? He claimed some people came to him and he accepted. Just like that? WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE? let us know them before we start assisting boko haram, Fulani herdsmen, Millitant apologists to protest. Am not against the protest cos it is long overdue but who are the organisers. I remember the story on front page of Shiite girl arrested/kidnapped by the soldiers. She believed she was protesting against the so called oppression of her religion but in actual fact, did she really know that the people she is supporting have been reported to be security threat to the state in the past? Now her mother is left alone to fight for her release. my Opinion though. |
igidaduro:Guy move on abi wetin u sef expect from someone about to wed? make she leave her husband?. Move on and reduce your contact with her. If she accuse you of changing, tell her if all your friends chat you the way she does you won't have time for yourself that anything beyond the normal friendship communication is a signal of something more than friendship and she needs to define it cos you don't understand. She might be confused let her sort herself out. This is why its better not to accept their proposal of friendship. It's hardly ever platonic. At least someone will violate the platonic friendship code. |
These people are gradually turning APC to what the old PDP used to be. They will make life more difficult for Buhari to govern than he is already facing. |
The executive secretary of a civil society in Nigeria, Centre for Social Justice, Equity and Transparency (CESJET), Ikpa Isaac has written an open letter to Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka, Temitope Joshua and other men of God in Nigeria. Ikpa in his letter called on the men of God to intervene and caution other clerics against the use of hate speeches in Nigeria. Ikpa's open letter comes on the heels of the comment made by the founder of Omega Fire Ministries Apostle Johnson Suleman calling on his church members to kill any Fulani herdsman that tries to attack them. Open Letter to the Spiritual Director, Adoration Ministry, Enugu State, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka and the Founder, Synagogue Church Of All Nations, (SCOA) Pastor TB Joshua and other anointed men of God in Nigeria on the topic; “Hate sermons: Urgent need for prayers and understanding,” in the light of prevailing religious tensions In Nigeria. |
rockstarB:I will advice you tell him to go for the small label. Reason being that they are small and in the event your boyfriend happens to blow, he can use his fame to muscles his way out. Though big labels are well connected and they have a wider and more reliable network but they are all thieves and by the time your boyfriend realises that, they will use that same connection and network to blackmail him and tie him down to another contract. They are big and as you know they have experience so They know how to block all the loopholes his lawyer might want to make them insert in the contract. They are big already so They have little to loose and by that they will compromise very little. Small labels also want to go big but they need a good artist to make them big and by that they will compromise a lot. Bottom line, it's very complex but your boyfriends interest must be really protected and that is something I cannot start writing about. Also there are lots your boyfriend has to know before signing his career out in the name of contract. I cannot start writing am lazy in writing. There are different types of contracts. |
Chiedu4Trump:Maybe they know better than to be shouting bluemurder over the news media. The VP cum acting president has all the information about the security intelligence of the country. So maybe he knows better than what we know but as a leader, he is not only a Christian right now but also a Muslim, a Jew, a traditionalist and whatever religion being practised in the country. Speaking against a religion like everyone is calling for will be morally and ethically wrong and against the constitution he swore to protect. He cannot condemn the pastors for what they are saying because it will appear as if he is supporting the killing and not because the pastors are right. Condemning the killing of Christians by Fulani herdsmen(not Muslims) will have been the best thing to do but the fact that he is keeping quiet could mean he has information that we or the pastors don't have that may be showing something contrary to what the pastors and everyone thinks. |
erico2k2:Yes that is what is called a reprisal attack. Not one pastor comanding people to start killing. No human being needs any other human to tell him/her that he should defend himself. Survival is the most basic natural instinct of a human being. Commanding people to start killing in a society that has law is a No No. Some will argue that he commanded his body gaurds but are his body guards police officers or law enforecement officers. He even went as far as saying anyone that mistakenly enters the church should be killed. Imagine mistakenly not intentional. not even there to arm anyone but because he is a Fulani. What if he is a Christian that came to worship or are there no Fulani Christians. What the guy did is wrong and and we should all condemn it. That does not mean we are encouraging the Fulani criminals or even in support of FG for their slow response. Am sure the DSS would have warned him seriously. I can bet it with anybody that the guy wouldn't be talking about fulani herdsmen anytime soon due to the warnings he would have received. Did you notice the silence of Osinbajo. He knows the truth. He is presently Nigerian president so all the intelligence report is in his hands. He cannot condemn the pastor cos he will be seen as supporting the Fulani herdsmen and he cannot praise the pastor because he knows what he said was wrong. |
VeniJu:They have attacked and kill people in delta. you can search online. No one should be in support of violence not especially a pastor leading a church. If he thinks calling for people to attack and kill as a form of reprisal is the answer than he should be ready to dance to the tune of it's consequence or live in hiding like shekau. Remember shekau and boko haram attacks are reprisal attacks for killing their leader. |
mapet:Lagos-badagry-seme is a federal road. Any road linking two states or just exiting a state is a federal road. They are called Trunk A road. Any road leading to any federal government property is a federal road. e.g. Apapa port road, tincan port road, airport roads. Like I said earlier the state govt under Fashola undertook the responsibility to do it because the state has much to gain from the road in the short run than the FG. The FG blocked the loan because they didn't want it constructed by an opposition APC govt. Oshodi-Akaka express way was done by Lagos govt despite it been a federal road same way ambode is planning to do the oshodi-abule egba-sango otta road. |
VeniJu:It is not any human beings duty or right to call on another to attack an innoscent person for the crime of another. Will you be happy if you're from an innocent fulani family and a member of your family is killed for what you know nothing about just because an Apostle ordered them to do so. The same way you won't be happy if your family member is killed by boko haram because shekau ordered them to. No one is happy with what is going on but we should control our utterances because in every tribe and religion no matter their crime there are innocent ones like you and my self. It is even disappointing that it is coming from a leader of a religion. Sentiments aside, Lets ask ourselves What is the difference between what Shekau has been calling for and what this man just called for. |
justiz5:I will ignore your insult and talk to you as someone sensible. It is obvious from the site that their is no kill in the facebook post. We should not twist the fact because we want to gain a few likes on Nairaland. If the owner or the initiator of that twisted story has an alterior motive, you just assisted him. If we don't thread carefully on this issues, when this country burns down it is not the goats and chickens and baboons that will burn but we humans occupying it. |
TWoods:Google the word "triad" in China and tell me how many of their high profile members has been tried and execute for crimes commited in other countries. |
justiz5:It is really unfortunate that a mod will push this to the front page inspire of the glaring difference in what the facbook post state and what the op wrote. If you people don't know, brandishing the word "kill" at this precarious and delicate time amounts to fanning the controversy. Inside the facebook post I didn't see anything that relates or denotes the north killing the south or the north killing the Christians. Did the guys threaten civil war? YES Did he threaten the south? YES but did he say they will Kill Christians? Obviously NO So why try to promote what the guy did not say in the name of making the south to hate the north while we've seen worse comments here on NL. This site as a Nigerian pride has the responsibility to filter what gets to the front page for people to read in other not to encourage and countribute to the negative news flying around. lalasticlala, seun, mynd44 please you guys should look into this and make proper amendment. |
The two of you have a very wrong information. diportivo:Lagos-Badagry express way is not a state project but a federal one embarked upon by the state under Fashola because I thought the state has more to gain from it in the short run than the FG.... gatti23:....but it was the FG under gej that asked him to stop work claiming it is a federal project that they will complete it themselves. Obviously they never lay a finger on it since they stopped Fashola's APC govt from continuing and completing it. So apc didn't abandon the project gej and pdp did. |
TWoods:Let us be the one to execute him and not throw him to the lions den in the name of looking good. |
seunmsg:Brother thank you for this. I really don't know the details of the case beyond the story made into film Orange is the new black but your explanation makes for a sensible reflection. I always knew it was wrong for a souverign state to just bundle her own citizen to another country without benefit of doubt. Guilty or not, China will not even entertain such. Even if you present them with the most glaring evidence. If the British didn't extradite him then why should we? Because someone powerful hates him so much? unfortunately I really like the person that hates him so much but not more than my country. I may not like Kashamu as a person but he is a Nigerian no matter what. The only thing I can sign off a Nigerian for extradiction is corruption. Its only because it affects my country and her people negatively. |
Hmmm |
signature2012:Did Suleiman said kill any Fulani herdsmen from Libya you see? NO. He said any Fulani herdsmen you see kill them. I just watched the video again on youtube. Maybe you should. Even his church members shouted in dismay at the utterance of the words. If the Nigerian government decides to let wisdom prevail by handling the case with maturity, the man will still have to face the ICC of anyoneor group of people deems it fit to charge him. |
The guy is a clown |
OP Provide your source or the mods should ban this guy for presenting fake sensitive news. I can't seem to find this news anywhere on the net. Seun, lalasticlala, Mynd44 This issue is too sensitive at the moment for someone to be peddling fake news. Modified: Found the source http://www.vanguardngr.com/2017/01/2-missing-herdsmen-found-dead-delta/ https://nigerianewspapers.com.ng/news/2-missing-herdsmen-found-dead-in-delta/ Suleiman is truly deep poo. If this is true, it is only by Gods grace that Nigeria will avoid a war and it will forever be on record of history that one Apostle John Suleiman was the provocateur. Even though the herdsmen has had their cups filled to the brim and the FG did not help matters with it's docile approach to the potentially dangerous issue, Apostle John Suleiman -a leader of a church with thousands of followers and a worldwide reach- will have landed himself on the wrong side of history by allowing his emotions betray him live on television. Those illiterates calling for the head of elrufai for his 2012 (4years Ago) tweet that had no direct influece on the present should ask what happened to Ahmadenijad of Iran when he said if a single Iranian is killed, lots of American lifes will follow. NOTHING happened to him. It is one thing to threaten your unknown potential enemy -Nobody in particular- but to instruct/direct/command the killing of a known but perceived enemy -Particularly Fulani herdsmen- is another thing especially in a state that has a constitution. For the clearance of doubt, calling for a group of people to be killed at sight is not self defence. It is an invitation to anarchy. A clear declaration of war With the recent developments I can't but remember the prediction of one Apostle Olabayo or Olubayo few years back that Boko Haram will be defeated but a more deadly group will arise if care is not taken. Modified: To those quoting me that Suleiman never said they should kill Fulani herdsmen coming up with different statements they claim he said, here is the video and at exactly 0:48 sec of the video listen carefully and tell yourselves the truth instead of lying to yourselves. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V0RhW3spBo8&itct=CBIQpDAYBCITCMnSrv286dECFcu5VQodXgAPFVINSm9obiBTdWxlaW1hbg%3D%3D&gl=NG&client=mv-google&hl=en |
Interesting15:Go and read you bible and tell me where Christian is mentioned in any part of the bible. You half educated people will be arguing on issues you have little knowledge about. Read your bible you won't, go to bible church you won't it is all this swagger Yahoo pastors you will be following around. When someone who knows points it to you, you start argument. |
kaluxy007:YES they did because they neither understand nor respected their culture and religion. Even if they don't, did their women complain to them? NO. Have they(Arabs) changed anything since then? NO. cos it's their culture and religion you can't change it. Why has their campaign changed from claiming they(Arabs) are women abusers to they are terrorists? Because they(Arabs) refused their perverted lifestyle of degrading women in the name of women empowerment and freedom. I bet you didn't realise the campaign strategy has changed. It changed because they couldn't penetrate the Arabs. Now they are smoking them out so that they can mix with the west and learn their culture. After causing trouble in their country with their over meddling, they are turning them back into the troubled region. |
biz9ja:No we are churches. |
higherpower:The guy already have alot of ammunition in his arsenal(bible) why is he afraid again. He must be a man of little faith. |
