PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu Struggling With Prison Warders (Photos) by jomoh:
I don't know where you get your information from but it is good to read wide.

XieXie:
nig obviously have no case against this man. If they have a case against him, why not bring it before the court and provide witnesses to prosecute the case.
Obviously the FG has a very strong case against him and they have enough witnesses. Rather, he has been the one disrupting and prolonging the case by rejecting judges after judges. At a point it was his legal counsels that were fighting over who should represent him.

Why resort to secrete trial when the president of the nigeria country accused him severaly in public?
There's nothing secret in his trial. We already read how the proceedings went. If it secret we won't be in the know of how the proceedings went. The only thing secret is the demand of the witnesses to be shielded from the public view. That is the form of witness protection we have in our constitution and witnesses have the right to demand for it.

OP try and get your facts right, judges don't enter the court room from the public entrance. You claim looks fictional and untrue
Maybe you should read the post again. It was never stated that judges enter true the public entrance rather it was Nnamdi Kanu refusing to enter through the Judges' (private) entrance.

You see the the problem with this guy and it is the same reason that will never allow him to win this case either in Nigeria or outside Nigeria is the half truths and full blown lies they tell people.

the last time I read that his case is to be heard in the European parliament. Part of their grieviances was that several courts in Nigeria has acquitted him. In actual fact, the only Nigerian court that did so was a magistrate court that did so on the basis of lack of jurisdiction and he was charged to a higher court that has the jurisdiction to hear the case.

All this half truths will only do more harm to his plight than good.

Peace.
PoliticsRe: Why Buhari Sacked Jim Obazee, FRC Boss – Fayose by jomoh: 10:19pm On Jan 10, 2017
datola:
So Buahari forgot Pastor Adeboye has influence on the electorate when they passed the law? They now remembered after the deed has been done?

This Fayose self!

For your information and the gullible ones, the code was implemented during GEJ era. When GEJ was confronted, he pointed that the man at the helm is a Redeem(ed) pastor. The Obazee was once accused of sexual harassment by one his senior staff members who's also a RCCG pastor's wife. May be that's why he was suspended or resigned from being a pastor and wanted to revenge. As Adegboruwa wrote yesterday, the church has been court for some time to challenge the law. It was when they lost that the respected G.O complied.

The issue is more of power tussle within RCCG. Read Mr Adegboruwa's article of yesterday, another RCCG pastor advising our refereed G.O not to follow the path of Yahya Jammeh of the Gambia. Most of the pastors want to fly private jets around the world too and and have unfettered access to church money.

That is the result of church building their treasure on earth. They display so much wealth and pay lip service to soul winning and service to mankind as admonished by our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is an abomination for men of God to bully people around with body guards and armed security men. Nothing Christ-like again about Nigerian church. The glory people see, desire and they want to die for is money, money and more money.

The difference between them and wicked politicians is the difference between 5 and 6.

Politician don't respect them, they only respect their influence on their naive followers for votes.
I don't know of you're a Christian or Muslim but you just wrote the truth but the deafening silence from the so called respected G.O. about the true state of affairs is what still baffles me.

Adeboye as a respected man of God knows all the truth that

1. The issue has been on ground since the time of GEJ

2. The issue originated from his own inner caucus making it an internal affair(a redeem) drawn out to the public.

3. The issue was a power tussle that resulted in someone (Obazee) using his position to attack the other.

yet instead of the man(Adeboye) to quietly call on the president and let him know the true state of things, he chose to accuse an innocent government headed by a Muslim of interference in the affairs of the church. Going as far as telling his church members to get party membership cards.

That information sent a wrong signal to the whole world who interpreted the whole saga as an intentional act by a Muslim president to attack churches in the country.

If not for the quick back ground information like this that came out, some mischievous elements like this so called Fayose has started to link the issue to the kaduna killings and some ignorant and uninformed ones out their will still be spreading the false news around.

For this singular act of SILENCE, Adeboye has lost every single act of respect I might have had for him. He displayed a very high level of hypocrisy not expected of a revered man of God. It is not only dangerous, but it also has the capacity to threaten the peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians in the country.

Lets not distort fact. The Financial Reporting council in charge of overseeing non for profit organizations was created and signed into law in 2011 with Mr Obazee as the head ,On May 18, 2011 to be precise. This particular tenure ship law which passed through the council was proposed in 2011 by some mischievous people but met major resistance from the Federal government under GEJ and some other individuals in Government then ,it was taken to court and it was swept under the carpet immediately then in 2011 and never saw the light of the day, that's why most people are just hearing about it now, ,now come 2016 ,the law is revisited, implemented and became effective, October 2016. So what changed all the way from 2011 to 2016 that there was sudden need to revisit and implement it? Lets stop telling lies to justify this.
Will you stop spreading your lies and fear your God.

Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the FRC, Jim Obazee, at the weekend said that though only 89 out of the 23, 216 registered churches in the country have complied till date with regulations, the council would be unrelenting till the right thing is done.

Qareeb is a registered organisation. FACT.
AnsarUdeen is a registered organisation. FACT.
RCCG is a registered organisation. FACT.
Winners is a registered organisation. FACT.
MFM, Deeper life etc are registered organisation. FACT.

But where in the Nigerian law is the Muslim faithfuls a registered organisation?

The fact that CAN is a registered organisation that has to subject itself to the law of man (created constitution) instead of the natural law of God is a problem for the Christians and the Christians only because it is The Christians only that need an artificial body like CAN to unite their ununited faction/denomination. The natural law of Christians' God is not comprehensive enough to handle a complex org. like CAN.

The fact that CAN uses pastors as its leaders does not necessarily mean Muslims must use imam as its Nigerian leader.

Does the law even affect CAN president? No. so what is the basis of comparism?

Ignorance and hypocrisy are two dangerous elements that should never be allowed to mix but Nigerian Christians have the two in abundance.

This same thing happened to me in 2010 just before going for service.

The same thing happened again in mid last year with more convincing symptoms but this time around, I wasn't as scared as the first time because I've gotten tested couple of times after the first one.

I can bet you its not hiv. The symptoms you're having are too aggressive for early stages of hiv. It is most likely your thinking.

The human brain is so powerful that it can manifest what we believe/think into physical feelings. Like the Chelsea guy already said, it will most likely disappear once you get tested.

DSS arrested Dasuki for the possesion of large unexplained weapons of war.

EFCC could not detain him for more than 24hours because there was no substantial evidence of corruption to prosecute him.

Based on the security threat of that magnitude that related to Boko haram, the country can decide to detain anyone for as long as it wishes without charges. The same thing is what the US is doing at Guantanamo bay. Though it is against various human rights chatter but the country decides what is good for it irrespective of human right.

DSS is holding him based on that while EFCC builds enough evidence to be able to prosecute him.

This is no good news to Oyo workers. Just to correct this statement in bold. The constitution of the Gambia calls for elections every 5 years. Mr. Jammeh never called for nor organized elections of his own volition.
So who did? Who provided for the materials used in election.

If the constitution called for election and he decided to follow suit. If he had decided not to go ahead with the election like he has done in the past 22years who would care? No one.

But he consented to the constitution by allowing the election and even participating.

Gadaffi never called for an election and his people never complained only the external forces that he wouldn't now to.

They noted that “since October 14, 2015, Kanu has been illegally imprisoned by the Federal Republic of Nigeria, despite being acquitted of all charges brought against him,” adding that in spite of acquittal by the competent courts in Nigeria, the federal government has continued to detain the IPOB leader and his colleagues.
I stoped reading when I saw the bolded.

Which Nigerian court aquited him?

Some charges were dropped and he was rearranged on other charges on which he has frustrated few judges out of his case by refusing them.

Misinformation like this is the main reason why Nnamdi Kanu will not be freed anytime soon.

First it was the UK parliamentarian that wrote the UK parliament about the plight of his constituent(Kanu). We never heard anything tangible after that inspite of the fact that he is a UK citizen. He was only contacted about how he was fearing in the Nigerian prison and he replied that he had it under control. Since then we've not heard anything from the UK government. Maybe because they've heard the charges against him.

No wahala ,Gaddafi been do pass you.

Bt wait ooo, him de baff Kiwi shocked
Mentioning Gadaffi with this guy is an insult to gadaffi.

Gadaffi issue was because the western powers couldn't control him and his country's oil. So they decided to fund son rebels to fight against him. Even at the heart of the war when they found out the rebels were looking ground in a big way, the US had to physically intervene through NATO. It is exactly the same thing happening in Syria right now. The only difference is that unlike Assad of Syria, Gadaffi had no world power like Russia to support him.

Jameh's own issue is different. He is the one that called for an election and went ahead to organise it only for him to turn around and start crying foul after being defeated/rejected by his own people.

Gadaffi was never rejected by his own people and he never had a recognised opposition figure, that was why the rebels found it very hard to defeat him on their own.

Guy it is obvious your education was clearly a waste of time and resource that should have been put to use to better the lot of deserving people than you.

So to you in a criminal case you charge people to court before you arrest them abi. So that they can run away like Tompolo has done.

Google is your friend but you choose to argue instead of doing research. When you have substantial evidence of crime against someone, you have the right to detain them before charging them to court.

BTW if the DSS is sure that their is an evidence of crime in what Magu has done why not detain him and make him face the law instead of the Senate condemning him based on frivoulous evidence provided by DSS.

The meaning of the whole thing is that if your sister accuse you of raping her, your father will just disown you without hearing your own side of the story or even investigating.

In the Nigerian law, the burden of proof is on the accuser. It means you are assumed innocent until proven guilty. The Senate refused to prove him guilty before pronouncing him guilty.

So I hope you use your brain this time around to understand the issue here otherwise don't bother to quote me. I won't reply.

Exactly my point, Even those trader should not be handed the cash if possible, The Bank should be able to help them pay to where ever they are buying from and see BDC collapse and started selling at a price not more than #1-2 difference.
In the first place we shouldn't be allowed to withdraw dollars from banks. It is not our currency. Dollars sold should be transfered by the buyer to the seller wherever they are in the world.

We buy stuffs online with our naira denominated master cards without having to touch dollars physically. Why can't the traders too pay for their goods without having to touch the dollars or if they have to withdraw it, let them do so outside the country.

I wonder how you S/W APC supporters think,Buhari will render about 1 million Aboki black market dealers jobless and they will not fight back for their daily bread.Every country have black market, they can only reduce the gap.
I wonder how you dullards from the east thinks.

Tell me where does your interest lies. 180million Nigerians that stand to benefit or the 1million abokis that are making the remaining 179million to suffer because of their selfish interests.

No country can totally eliminate black market. At least our government won't be funding them to make life unbearable to it's citizens. let the get their dollars from travellers who can only move a maximum of $10,000 in cash.

What this means is that banks will stop selling dollars to the bottomless pit of BDC. They will have to source their dollars from somewhere else.

What this means is that the little dollars we get from our foreign trade can be rationed amongst genuine business men to buy products that Nigeria needs not what we can produce ourself.

What this means is that genuine traders will get their dollars from banks and use it for the good of the economy not some fun seeking yahoo boy who wants to show off.

What it means is that your SE brothers who wants to travel to China for business can get their dollars at a normal price from banks whithout having to compete with fun seekers at the BDC.

It also means a lot of things that i am very sure will be too complex for your brain being a wailer that you are.
BusinessRe: FOREX: FG Orders CBN To Abolish Parallel Market - Leadership by jomoh: 10:31am On Dec 21, 2016
APCmyheart:
I swear i think that is exactly what should have been done a very long time ago, I talk about this same thing with a friend few months ago and i think it's best option..

No black market anymore, CBN should have their agents in different banks in some location where they will sell dollars to private individuals and make sure it's a fix amount weekly and purpose of the money should be known..

The buyer most provide his/her international passport before buying, Only international should be made the only means of ID..
This issue has been on since late last year.

There is this Unilag professor Henry Boyo who have a robust analysis of how the CBN should go about it.

What I have been saying and advocating is why do we have so many dollars in physical currency in Nigeria. Dollars is not our currency so why is it so much in circulation in our economy. It is natural that people will go for stronger currency when they are presented with choice and it will kill the local currency. Take away the choice, and you see the local currency pick itself up.

We have destroyed our currency for a long time by allowing this BDC people. They don't have a way to regulate who they sell the currency to. Even party goers who has nothing to cotribute to the economy goes to they to buy. You now find genuine traders having to compete with fun seekers to obtain the same dollars. While the traders has a limit he can go to buy the currency to attain profit in his business, the fun seeker does not.

So we say keep all dollars in banks, let the banks sell it to those who really needs it and also give priority to genuine traders who will turn it around and use it to profit the economy in the long run.

I dont know what Saharareporters and Premiumtimes are after.
They are after the truth behind two conflicting recommendations to the same indicting report.

The two reports indicted Mr Magu so i dont think the DSS should be instructing the NASS on the decision to be taken.
Yes the two reports indicted Mr Magu but the recommendations are conflicting.

Recommendations are meant to give a fair personal judgement of the report maker based on what he/she was able to discover during the cause of their investigation. Every report is expected to come with a recommendation. Its like an advice, it is not binding on the Senate but carries a lot of weight on the integrity of the report.

Both Reports carry same allegation and that is the most important from the report.
Yes it might be the most important but the fact that the two reports carry different recommendations has put a question Mark on the integrity of the two reports, the investigation as a whole and even the people that carried out the investigation.

If you have nothing to hide that is not included in the report why will you recommend the appointment of someone you just indicted(in one of the reports).

Even of there is no concrete evidence for and against every other allegation against Mr Magu, that of rent payment has being cleared by the Premium times investigation. In it, it was discovered that the rent was not paid for by the commission and neither was it paid for by the said Mr. Mohammed(in the DSS report) but by the FCDA.

20million is not 20thousand that you can pay in cash so there has to be an audit trail(bank transfer in bank statement) that will leave no one in doubt as to where the payment came from.

Sencondly how can you indict someone and go on to pass judgement without fair trial(a chance to defend himself against the accusations). This is why sane Nigerians and international community believes there's more to it which makes it political.
