Politics › Re: US Resumes Crude Oil Imports From Nigeria by jomoh: 10:25am On Sep 15, 2015
WombRaiders:
All wars are bankers wars!

Jonathan was one of many victims of an ongoing currency war between America and BRIC nations.

America's only strength today is the worthless dollar. Dump the dollar and watch America collapse.

This is why they took out Qaddafi, Chavez and are fighting Assad.
This makes sense

When Jonathan wisely opted to diversify our reserves in other currencies and precious commodities and was moving more and more closer with China, the US hit back with Boko Haram and suspended buying our crude as well as getting their evil ally Saudi Arabia to flood the market with too much oil.

The US stance was and still remains that if we choose to diversify our reserves from the dollar, they will stop buying our crude. That is the simple truth and it had nothing to do with Fracking or any useless amnesty report or phantom missing girls.
Wisely? Did you just say wisely?
For 6years during which sanctions were imposed on Iran, the price of crude oil stood at a yearly average of $100 per barrel. Instead of GEJ to save and use the money to diversify, he and his cronies were using the Goat and Yam theory to steal the country's wealth while shouting stealing is not corruption.

All of a sudden he now wants to change the country's reserve currency without a back up plan. He wants to use the money of your major dealer to strengthen another currency when you on have a single commodity to trade.

So you expect the US to sit down and watch while he uses their money to strengthen another currency.

And you call that wise? Isn't that stupidity of the highest magnitude.

Buhari and the APC were specifically propped and supported by the US to steer Nigeria back to neocolonialism controlled from Wall Street!
Who's fault? If GEJ had done a good job will Buhari have ever surfaced let alone the formation of APC?

Just wait and see Buhari take out a $50bn IMF/World Bank to ensure that for the next 40yrs we and our grandkids remain slaves to western banks. All the noise about "no money" is specifically geared towards making the average Nigerian accept a bank loan from the IMF! If you borrow in dollars you are expected to pay back in dollars and for you to do this you must save in dollars! This is just the tip, as devaluation, redundancy in the civil work force and sale of govt assests and natural resources will follow. Blackstone is already in town shopping for which part of our country they want to buy cheaply!

This is the real motive behind all that change nonsense!
Now this is where I think you started going senile.

Being a GEJ supporter you have no moral justification to accuse PMB of borrowing.

Despite the oil wind fall of almost six years, your hero still left Nigeria a debt (both foreign and domestic) of over $60bn(about 12trillion Naira).

http://www.dmo.gov.ng/oci/pubd/docs/Total%20Public%20Debt%20Stock%20as%20at%2030th%20June_%202015.pdf

Even if Nigeria is to be paying at 5bn Naira monthly it will still take us over 2400months(200years) to clear the debt.

Back to your submission. It is a know fact that PMB has never being a fan of all these foreign monetary bodies. Right from his military days in 1983-1985.

Despite all the pressure on his government to devalue the currency and take loan, he never did. Same scenario is playing out again. Since he came in, the currency has not being devalued for once yet the currency picked a little while the reserve has also increased.

Maybe you guys haven't seen Flavour.

Am a Yoruba guy and some of his songs I might not understand but common the guy is the best live performer I've ever seen.

I saw him at the GTB party in lekki last december and the guy wowed me. I fell in love with him instantly(no homo). He was arguably the best performer of the night.

As in Flavour comes to the stage with a live band nothing artificial like DJ, no pre sequenced keyboard sound. Everything is fresh. From the guitar to the drums, the key board. Guy, you should try and see flavours live performance you will have a rethink about some nigerian artists.

BTW Wizkid came on stage after flavour that same night trying to use a live band as well. My world, it was an absolute disaster. Had it been an outside party and not an official bank's party, am sure people would've stoned him (myself included).

So a 16 year old girl who is still a minor and a dependent can convert to Islam and she will be accepted.

Perhaps the Sheik who accepted her conversion might be willing to tell us what will happen to her should her parents decide to unleash their wrath on her?

And should she be disowned, who is going to carter for her needs and education ( let it be known that marrying her off isn't acceptable).

I find it hard to believe that this set of people who accepted this girl did so without considering the fact that she's very much a minor and such decision is just too heavy for her to make on her own.

I look forward to the rest of this story because I know feeling and emotions will fly when the parents become involved because she's still their daughter and any attempt to take her away from them is kidnapping.
Too young for what? To know God?

sammieguze:
16? Isn't she still a minor?

The last time i checked, the legal age of consent is 18.

Let her wait till she is 18 bfr she makes the decision. For now... She is still a minor.
Consent to what?

Please read the bold down here.

bushdoc9919:
Well....so long as she went in of her own free will.....no problem

There is the legal issue of her being a minor.,....but as far as I know, there is nothing in the Laws of Nigeria which state that a 16 year old needs parental consent to change religion. (There should be such a law....by the way).

Re...Christianity....the door always remains open. No matter what.
@coloured don't you think there should be a law stating a legal age to die too?

FINALLY SHE'S TOO YOUNG TO CONVERT BUT NOT TOO YOUNG TO ENTER HELL FIRE LIKE THIS PERSON BELOW SAID.

We actually do have fixed dates. Just because our official islamic calendar is different from the gregorian calendar(propagated by ancient egyptian gods).

Just like the chinese calendar.

They are:

1. Muharram
2. Safar
3. Rabil al-awwal
4. Rabil ath-thani
5. Jumada al-awwal
6. Jumada ath-thani
7. Ra'jab
8. Sha'ban
9. Ramadan
10. Shawal
11. Dhu al-qa'dah
12. Dhu al-hijjah

The difference is that our months don't go below 29days(like february) and they don't go above 30days. This is because the moon cycle is fixed between 29 and 30 days. It doesn't go below or above.

Politics › President Buhari Never Said He Had Only Or Less Than N1 Million In His Account by jomoh(op): 10:55pm On Sep 06, 2015
The fact that PDP and their gang of backward supporters keep shouting that Buhari said he had only N1 million is a huge pointer to the major reason they were kicked out in the first place. If only they had taken a little time to know their opponent or if they had bothered to keep tabs on the campaign activities of their opponents instead of relying on beer parlour gists to tackle their opponent maybe they could still have won a few more votes than they did. Even after more than 100days since the election, they still have not learnt the basic lesson that you don’t quote Buhari without either video evidence or a duly signed document to back your claim.

Despite the series of libellous statements from the PDP against the President both before and after the elections, PDP has still not being able to pin this man of integrity down to anything negative they claim he said or did.

Here is a video of an interactive section PMB had with EbonyLifeTV. On the panel were Lamide Akintobi(the moderator) Tosin Odunfa, Bolanle Olukanmi, Cynthia Kamalu and Zainab Balogun.

In the video, he (PMB) was asked by Tosin Odunfa about the question of N1million at minute 20:26. After taking his time to explain the story surrounding the N1million rumour, he clearly and unequivocally stated at minute 22:45 that he had more than N1 million in his account. Even going as far as say that how could someone who does not have N1million in his account be granted an overdraft of N20million.

The video was uploaded on February 9, 2015. I have had this video on my phone since that February.

not sure you know your history well...not sure what you mean ironsi and his lieutenants going on murderous rampage because ironsi himself was penned down for elimination but as fate will have it he was one of the ones that helped halt the coup.read different accounts of that coup..by the way ironsi introduced that unitary system because of the precarious situation the country was then...if ironsi as you said went on murderous rampage on northern officers how come most of his assistants that he appointed were northerners? How do you think he was easily eliminated?...as for your nd and ss last statement ho and read about abandoned property issue in ph after the war..as for north and power I am sure ahmadu bello would be laughing at your statement as his famous statement about north and power are well known
Just read what you wrote again. Does it sound logical? (No insult meant)

How can someone penned for elimination be the one to halt the same coup he was to be eliminated in and still went ahead to be the main beneficiary yet you still want people to believe he(Ironsi) had no hand in the coup?

Let's assume your story is right. You now said he helped halt the coup. Are you serious right now? You mean they could have gone ahead to perform a genocide on the northerners had he not halted it.

You also said Northern officers. Which northern officers were eliminated? It was defenceless civilian leaders that were murdered in cold blood.

So the fact that he (Ironsi) surrounded himself with Northern officers means he had no hand in the elimination of northern leaders? Or does it justify the senseless killings by the coupists who were 95% from a certain region of the country?

To me it only means he was being naïve to believe that he and his people could pacify the north with posts after murdering their leaders. It was plain stupidity.

Yes they had the right to take over the properties since it is stationed on their land and not part of the Biafra. Is it not this same SS that SE is now claiming to be part of Biafra(because of oil).

you have the wrong answer to his question..aguiyi ironsi introduced unitary system after the nzeogwu coup but it was gowon started splitting of states..potentially Nigeria has always been great however how to go about the greatness is the problem..also if you read Nigeria history between independence to the nzeogwu coup it was inevitable that there was going to be a crises something caused operation wetie and western regions crises
"Unitary system" was to unify the whole country into one which obviously is in stark contrast of the same thing I see people agitating for this days. We are not one. Aguiyi Ironsi by that Unitary system forced us together to make us one.

Had Aguiyi Ironsi not set the wheels in motion another person (Gowon) wouldn't have the thought of consolidating it.

No one will have gone ahead to split the regions into states arbitrarily if someone had not introduce a unitary system thereby making us what we are not.

We should stop blaming these people and let's lay the blame where it is due. If Ironsi and his lieutenants had not gone on a murdering rampage, killing their leaders unprovoked, they(the northerners) probably wouldn't have thought of seizing power every now and then. Those people started a war they couldn't win now the whole country is paying for their sins. Yet their people are the ones still bent on splitting this country trying to drag the ND/SS along with them.

They also started hatred towards the SW for not following them out after murdering the SW leader too in the coup.

They called the ND/SS people land and property thieves because they didn't believe in their selfish ambition.

so many loopholes in this theory.

1. is the money printed by CBN?

2. if the money is printed by CBN, how did the so called demons get the money without it being reported missing?

3. if the money isn't printed by CBN, how did the demons printed the money?

4. is the serial number on the money valid when check on the CBN database.

Let us face the truth, if you are destined to be rich, you will succeed in life. No such thing as money ritual. Hustle hard and God will crown your hard work
You definitely have a long way to go when it comes to matter of destiny and spirituality.

Do you know how many people loose huge amounts of money per day? But how many reports do you get of people finding huge sums belonging to no one in particular. A lot of people get involved in different fatal accident carrying huge sums of money on them. Who takes the money.

Money ritual literarily mean someone somewhere working to make money on behalf of the ritualist. The job done, how it is done is not known to the ritualist but the proceed of the work/job done is what is brought to the ritualist.

Yes, if you're destined to be rich you will be rich but consequent upon what? Not everyone works hard before getting rich. Some make it through robbery, some through lottery, some inherit wealth, some work hard. Not everyone will work hard before making it in life.

Everyone is destined to die but we cannot all die the same way.

I've stopped falling for their divide and rule tactics!

The Igbos or ANY other people reserve the inalienable rights to determine their destiny and future. We saw it happened last year in UK when Scotland was granted and exercised their right through a referendum, but BLACKS ARE BLACKS, and aren't evolved enough to understand unity cannot be forced or forceful.

The only way we can stop this irresponsible sharing of our resources to the cost centres of other states is BY WALKING TOGETHER WITH THE IGBOS, if truly you're ONE OF US!

There's nothing tribalistic about my seeking the happiness and welfare of my tribe. It's patriotism!

If you're still seeing the Igbos as your enemies, SORRY!
Clearly not all ND indegenes share your sentiments. If we are to blame anyone for the mis-classification into SS/SE it is definitely not the North but the people that cancelled the regions as classified by the colonianists through their coup plot.

Obviously Nigeria never had problem before that unfortunate incidence but everyone knows the subsequent events that unfolded after the incident. Ever since that unfortunate incidence, Nigeria has never been the same again.

Prior to that incident, each region survives basically on what it produces/generates.

The North had no business with oil as they survived on their nuts and other things they produce.

The East which included Large part of the SS survived on coal and palm produce

While the west survived on its cocoa.

Had the country being left alone to remain the way it was till the discovery of oil, the North or west wouldn't have had anything to do with the ND oil which would have belonged exclusively to the Eastern region. We wouldn't have had this problem we are currently facing.

This is where I try to make distinctions between ND and the Biafrans.

While the ND has a very reasonable and legitimate cause they are fighting for(I just may not like how they go about it) the Biafran on the other hand has a different power mongering cause they're fighting for.
