This is all about weakening PDP and enthroning another northern rule for 8 additional years. I foresee at the end of the day that Jonathan will be the consensus candidate of PDP while a northern candidate will emerge in APC. With this APC will win and the north will still be in power for another 8 years.

I have a friend (a native of Cross River State) who worked with the late Ofoma. From him I knew the deceased as a very good man and a completely detribalized Nigerian. The fate that befell him is just one too many. This violence must stop. Between Ndigbo and Nigerians, who need Igbo presidency more? The truth is that Nigeria needs Igbo presidency more than Igbo needs it.
Apart from having functional ports in Calabar, Port Harcourt and Warri, what benefit would Ndigbo get from a presidency?
Nigerians are afraid of what Ndigbo can become with power considering that even without it, no tribe has fared better that Igbo. Just name one tribe that is better off than Igbo despite looting the country for decades while Igbo have been on the sideline.

They're afraid of Ndigbo that would scale ahead on a level playing field. Now could you imagine that what Ndigbo achieved in Biafra 60 years ago such as locally refining crude oil, building warship, war tanks, rockets, airfields, bombs and roads are still mere dream to Nigeria of today.

Some of us do not even want the Igbo presidency thing to happen. An Igbo country is a better deal for Ndigbo than a retrogressive country.

Many of the people don't even know why they don't want an Igbo to be president.

Nigeria is not ready for the type of leadership Peter Obi will bring. The country is collectively not mature for sensible leadership. I know the country wide sentiment is against an Igbo presidency. Most of our politicians are not seeing the hand writing on the wall blinded by ambition. What it means is another 8 years of nepotism, bigotry and all the like. At least the Igbo elite who still see a future with one Nigeria can begin to align IPOB. Simple and short.
