Once you understand and learn to recognize that there are only two types of Atheists, you will be free from the trap.
There are "Cowardly Atheists" and there are "Brave Atheists", the former are from the dregs of society and are doomed to even destroy what the profess to honor. These "Cowardly Atheist" are disguised as lawyers, doctors, professors etc. They love meaningless confusing langauge, bling bling, brand names, outward show of achievement to hide their inner poverty.

I advise you to first learn about the dangerous psychology of the "Cowardly Atheist" before you throw kindness in their lap.

Cowardly Atheist highest motive is to deceive their prey. They brag about how many lives they have ruined when they get together. I know, I am a high level Atheist connected to a very large group of influential Atheists. Atheist dont notice serious prejudice in its own ranks because they lust after the destruction of holy doctrine and the people that live by it.

Cowardly Atheists will never tell you that their hidden motives when they interact with others.

If you had any concern about your mental well being I think you should have first eliminated the abuse you allegedly received as the cause of your psychological state. There are too many atheists who are at least reasonably well adjusted psychologically for you to make such a sweeping claim based on your sample of one. Many of us are certainly not in the mental space that caused the abusive behaviour in the story you related, despite our being atheists.

Theists have as much freedom to sin as atheists, if not more, since God can justify even the most heinous acts. So if you became an atheist in a bid to sin more, you definitely didn't think the matter through.

In conclusion, atheists don't tell people the things you have written in your OP because your story and motivations are personal and other atheists are not you. In addition, they also prefer to share the actual bases for atheism rather than emotional nonsense. That's not to make light of your experiences and your struggles tho.

I am from a very large Atheist family and Atheist community, but we will never respond in this crude fashion. We dont go to religious forums uninvited. We avoid it. Atheism is our thing so we invite others to our blogs. Most Atheists are heartless so being rude to them has no effect.
It simply builds their low self-esteem.

Yesterday I said fuxck the supremely negative atheists here, and took the hint from that chap sciencewatch to investigate for myself if the miracles are true.
