I mistakenly transfer 200k to a first bank account. After I discovered that I have made this mistake, I immediately call my bank UBA and explain to them what really happened.
They promise to send mail to first bank regarding the transaction, and I was ask to give them 10 working days to work on it. I even went to first bank to make a complain about the transaction they ask me to go to my bank that it is my bank that will make a complaint. So the Second day I received a call from UBA that they have sent mail to first bank, but if I want to fast track the process I should go and get a court order.
So i decided to wait for the 10 working days thinking that the issue might have been solved by then and the money would have been reversed and if Not I will get a court order. So after waiting for Ten day I called my bank and I was told that First bank didn't reply to their mail mind you I do call my bank on a daily basis to remind them of my problem you know how bank customer care works especially UBA i spent thousands on call cards.
So I had to look for a Lawyer to get a court order I paid the Lawyer 30k with alot of stress. After 3 weeks the court order was ready I took it to First bank and the manager told me that the person has withdrawn the money that she will have to forward the court order to their Legal team and wait for their reply so that they will call the person to refund the money. And they refused to give me the person's number.
After spending close to 50k plus the stress I pass through I even went to first bank to complain myself in which the directed me to my bank and I was so sure that my bank sent them a mail. Please how do I get my money back I need an advise. The lawyer want us to file suit against first bank but I don't have the money I can't just lose 250k this kind time. HOW TO RETRIEVE YOUR MONEY AFTER YOUR WRONG TRANSFER

Please read carefully and learn.

Many people don't always know what to do, so today am sharing with you things you do when you realize a page you paid for a service or goods is ghosting you:

1. Write out the Full name and account number of the page or person.

2. Go to the last notification your bank sent you after you made the payment (via mobile app or text) and copy out the "TRANSACTION ID NUMBER".

3. Go to any branch of the scam artist's bank (the bank you transferred to), and ask to see the CUSTOMER SERVICE in charge of FRAUD.

While you are there, send an email to SCAMMER'S BANK or the d bank u wrongly paid to and copy CBN FRAUD DESK (anticorruptionunit@cbn.gov.ng) n also cpd@cbn.gov.ng
& contactcbn@cbn.gov.ng, this will ginger the bank to take it up fast.

What should you expect from this? The culprit/suspect's account will be PLACED ON HOLD. His BVN will be blocked permanently. No account will ever be opened nor will he be able to transact banking business in that name until he clears himself with the bank.

Meaning he/she cannot transfer or withdraw until they visit the bank, and when they do, the bank will contact the police, and the suspect when proven guilty will sign a waiver allowing the bank to refund your money.

Same thing applies during the bride price negotiations and the wedding.. Because we do two weddings where I'm from.. one on Saturday which will happen at the bride's parents' place and the other on Sunday which will happen at the groom's parents' house.

Each families pay for their own food and drinks.

Today makes it 7 months my left with my kid.

I married my wife in feb 2021 in a low key ceremony.I have known my wife for years before get married to her as we lived in same compound.She is from Imo and I am from Enugu state.She is 23 and i am 26

We have a daughter together.Trouble began about 7 months after my daughter was born,my wife always complained i dont give her enough money for upkeep.I work as a security guard for a company earning 75k monthly.Out of that 75k,I remit 40k to her monthly for upkeep.She is a school teacher but i don't really know how much she earns.

Given the situation of things in the country,I know she may be right when she says the money i give her isn't enough but i am genuinely trying my best.it hasn't been easy.

Asides from her nagging about upkeep money,my wife is a good woman.She cooks and takes good care of our daughter.

Things got worse when the company i was working for folded up.I think the owner got involved in some shady deals and the company building and assests were confiscated.I was without a job for some time and we were surviving on my savings and and some menial jobs i was getting.

Times were hard.I opened up to my wife that i want to learn cctv And solar panel installation.I viewed this as a good skill to learn and have.I enrolled and i am an apprentice now learning alongside some other boys.

My wife couldn't bear any longer and she left with our kid without informing me.I have called her mom to beg.She said she will talk to her.I don't even know where she is though i heard she stays with her aunty.

I have begged her to return home to no avail.The issue is affecting me emotionally and mentally.I mean i'm already having a hard time trying to learn this skill,why should my wife add to it?

I really need the encouragement and warmth of my wife especially now i haven't been feeling fine for some time

An update:
Im the OP. I was able to meet with a senior DSS official here in Lafia and he called the staff threatening me. As much as he agreed it was not their jurisdiction, since i had involved him, we resolved the matter amicably. We agreed that until the stated date that i said every remaining money will be paid, every form of contact from them will cease. All in all, the matter was handled well.

I am a printer and a graphic designer for 18 years and running. Most of my clients are from across the country and i have never met them. Not once have i had issues where a customer gave me money for a job and i didn't deliver.

Early February this year, a woman asked me to do a job for her sisters wedding. I promptly designed the paperbags for her and after she had made her selection of design, i quoted my price. I quoted 850 naira per bag. She beat down to price to 650 per bag and that price was almost the cost price. I had my eyes on other wedding souvenirs she might want to do so I didn't consider profit as far as the wedding paper bag was concerned. I however told her that she will need to mobilize me soon since the quotation we agreed on was subject to the present prices of materials in the market and prices were increasing daily.

Upon mobilisation, I bought a number of items needed for the bags. I also printed a mock up of the wedding paper bag and brought it for her to see. She complained about the picture of the couple saying it was not sharp enough. I told her that the issue was from the picture and i will need a high resolution version of the picture. It took her more than three weeks to get a high resolution picture across to me. In the meantime prices of materials were going up.

After using the new picture and seeing that it was okay, i informed her that additional cost increaseas had set in. An increase of 46k from the original quoted price. She then flared up and said i should refund her initial deposit. Of course, i had bought some materials already. I simply told her to give me time to sell off so i can make refunds. Thats where trouble started.

She has been constantly calling to harrass me and has even involved someone who works. In the DSS. This Dss man has been threatening to physically harrass me and have me locked up. I have gone to see him severally to explain my own side of the story and I have even made some repayment already with an outstanding of 57k left. He pointedly told me yesterday that if i dont provide the balance by 11am tommorow, he was going to have me locked up in their office and they'll have me dealt with severely.

I am at a loss. I have a wife and kids. I have clients who owe me but that money only comes at month end. I don't understand why the DSS should be involved in this matter. I also don't understand the constant harrassment. I did not eat the clients money as a matter of fact I added my own money to buy some of the things since the mobilization she gave money was not enough. I have never been locked up in my life before.

Lawyers in the house, I believe this matter is a purely civil matter and should not involve the Dss. Please what are my options?

where's your location? DSS doesn't get themselves in civil matter except police.
