Hi. The situation is a bit peculiar as Nigerians can't participate in IEC. Try asking CIC on twitter: IRCC @CitImmCanada. Also provide them your nationality. Ggetter50: Hey guys!
Some pages back, people were talking about work permit. Please, as a Nigerian that lives in another country, I am looking for an internship opportunity in Canada in an environmental area. This is a compulsory internship for me to be done abroad and I think doing it in Canada will be advantageous for me if I later decide to move to Canada.
I would be happy to get more clarification from experienced people in Canada. Thanks! |

I guess your concern is because of the asylum issue. Fear not, her application has nothing to do with yours. However, you must include her in your application otherwise it is misrepresentation. Cannydreams: Hello people of God!
I am in serious dilemma. Please help look into this matter.
My husband's sister sought asylum in Canada last year. Now, we are in the process of our EE. One of the questions asked "if i have siblings or in-law in Canada", we don't need any point from them and don't want to include them. Will this be a misinterpretation if we don't include them? Must we include them even if we don't want points from them?

If you can get reference letter in CIC format, you don't need the SOA. If you can't get it in CIC format, you can pick the period that contains the bank transactions for the gift deed till date. Edit after checklist? I didn't do that but someone noted recently that it is possible. On moving the employment, hope you've noted your required 3yrs sha. I don't think it's such a big deal. I used the same reference letter for 3 positions spread over 8yrs and my application is currently in Ottawa. DrMrsCK: Thanks for your prompt response. And can we edit our info after generating the document checklist. I want to see how I can convince hubby to either move the employment to personal history or reduce them to one position |

If the positions are all in the same company, go with option 1. If you feel you need the other documents, you can merge them together with the reference letter. I feel though that if you got the reference letter in CIC format, the extra documents are not necessary. DrMrsCK: So while filling work history for my spouse, we did oversabi(make una no yab me) and now we have to bring work ref for each position held. Now my questions are:
1. Can we get a reference letter listing all positions held and upload it in all 4 placeholders? 2. Can we get reference letter for current position alone and upload employment/promotion letter in the other 3 placeholders?
Thanks. |

Lol. Maybe they can teach IT, but can they get a LMIA-exempt job for her? I doubt it. Even the big name immigration consultants based in Canada don't promise that. I did a quick browse. The founder talked about training IT job for Canada then tried to obfuscate on getting the PR visa. So I sure it is just a marketing ploy to get people to sign on. See here: https://posteritymediang.com/interview-nigerians-can-use-ict-skills-to-get-good-jobs-and-live-in-canada-fatiregun-ict-trainer/#Canada PR is a big deal in Nigeria now and the sharp ones are going to make money off people's interest and desperation. No. You can read through old PPR timelines. In one of them, someone got a gift a few days to AOR. efesexy: Hi friends! a quick question about when to get a gift deed. a. If you are married before ITA, no that's misrepresentation. b. If you get married after ITA but before AOR, your points will be recalculated and will drop. c. If you get married after AOR, you can add anytime even after getting PPR/COPR without points drop. The only thing is if it is after PPR, your application will be opened for processing again. 2 points though: i . You are advised to report your family composition change ie. marriage as soon as it happens. ii. I've read of getting a thorough 1-page questionnaire ADR after adding the spouse to explain when and how he met his spouse with evidence. So I think it might be best not to marry too close to AOR if you choose c. Bobority: Hello everyone, is it possible after receiving ITA as a single mother to add the father (after getting married) post ITA? If possible, when is the best time to add the father? |

I'm in interested in knowing how the rules are enforced, basically the reality on ground. joo2018: Guys,
I was browsing on size of apartment vis-a-vis rental costs and size of family in Canada as per of preparations. Questions of whether one should first manage with 1-room or 2-rooms apartemnt or deplete one's POF on a 3-room.
I came across these links on housing standards: https://meteor.aihw.gov.au/content/index.phtml/itemId/386254 http://www23.statcan.gc.ca/imdb/p3Var.pl?Function=DEC&Id=100731 https://info.prepareforcanada.com/blog/how-many-rooms-do-i-need-for-a-large-family-in-canada
The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation's (CMHC) National Occupancy Standard basically has rules for how many people can be in a house: * no more than two people shall share a bedroom
* parents or couples may share a bedroom
* children under 5 years, either of the same gender or opposite gender may share a bedroom
* children under 18 years of the same gender may share a bedroom
* a child aged 5 to 17 years should not share a bedroom with a child under 5 of the opposite gender
* single adults 18 years and over and any unpaired children require a separate bedroom
I'm in interested in knowing how the rules are enforced, basically the reality on ground. |

I think 2172 matches it more under data administrator. If your JD can be tweaked a little, it will come closer. Suggestion: Research and document data analytics frameworks, methodologies and business intelligence architecture. Research and document data structures, data flow processes and KPIs that are common across most industries. Develop and implement data visualisation concepts and application of different charts and graphs to represent ideas. Documents analytics business requirements and familiarizes with major reporting and visualisation softwares. Assists with analysing data profiling results to identify the root cause of data quality issues. Research and document major design concepts for developing reports, visualising data and interacting with analytical models. Configures and undertake development in relevant tools for integration such ETL databases. Perform end-to-end business process analysis and design. You can also start with a lead statement like: ......... researches, develop and implement data frameworks and methodologies, business process analysis, etc... CanadianMosquit: thank you for your response. 2171 and 2172 seems pretty close to it but read it on this thread that there has to be at least a 70% match with my JD. That got me really confused even though there is a data analyst role/title listed under 2172. Please will appreciate any insight the house can share on this. |

They may. Like I noted earlier, IRCC should have procedures to deal with that. I'm sure it is a quite common occurrence. The general email does provide them with an alternative. AmeComplique: The email on the letter head is a general one.
I'm just wondering what happens if they try to contact/call the referee's phone number since he's no longer in the country. |

I seem not to be getting you. I believe the email on the letterhead should be a general and not an individual one so I believe you should be ok. They will have a procedure for dealing with such cases. I think you raising a CSE will bring unwarranted suspicion to your application. AmeComplique: Hi guys,
So, I just heard that the personnel/admin officer (i work with a federal government agency) that signed my reference letter has carried his bags to the UK (i doubt he'll return).
Do i need to raise a CSE or something?
From experience, when two colleagues of mine submitted reference letters to two different embassies (Austrian and Mexican), contact was made directly through the official email on the letter head, and not the referee.
Ejor any insight will be greatly appreciated.
My application will sha clock 6months on the 9th of this month (AVO people). |

Q1: Both Q2: HND1 1st semester start date. He should record actual dates. That has no bearing on the years the certificate is evaluated as. Azy123: Good evening all. PLease help!!!
I am asking this question on behalf of a friend. He has evaluated his OND and HND with WES but in filling the express entry form he is not sure if he is to fill both OND and HND as part of education history.
WES evaluation is as follows:
Summary - Diploma (two years), Diploma (Three years) and a postgraduate certificate (one year) OND - Canadian Equivalency - Diploma (Two years) HND - Canadian Equivalency - Diploma (Three years) and a postgraduate certificate (one year)
Q1) Should he fill both in the education history.
Q2) For HND, duartion is 2 years after Industrial Training but WES evaluation is 3 years diploma and a postgraduate certificate. What would be the start and finish date to fill in the form. Is it Industrial training start date? or HND1 1st semester start date.
Q3) If he is to fill only HND as in the education history, what would be the duration - is it the OND start date to HND finish date
Thanks all. |

Great call. Actually missed that. cc: @ottawasenators Tojued: Honestly I think you should get the letter corrected. If they can't give you average balance, let them indicate it's current balance. It's inaccurate to call it average balance and then put figure of current balance. Would be an inconsistency if you get adr for statement of account. |
