Are you claiming points with the job experience? And which qualification are you using as basis for the job?

Gabzi28:
what if you had ND before the B.sc. would an LOE not suffice?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 11:00am On Jan 11, 2019
1. For undergraduate, yes. For postgraduate, no as long as it is not Canadian education. A LOE will not suffice for undergraduate, but may suffice for postgraduate.

2. Your family includes you, your spouse and your dependant children.

Revres:
Good day everyone.

Just got ITA and need some assistance with the following questions.

1. Is there any problem if your job overlaps with your education in personal history? If yes, I believe a LOE will suffice?
2. Under Travel History - I was asked if any of my family members taken any trips outside their country of origin or of residence in the last ten years (or since their 18th birthday if this was less than ten years ago). Include all trips: tourism, business, training, etc. (required) - My elder sister is currently based in Ivory Coast, is that a yes?

Thank you.

From what has been posted earlier in part 1, it is tough but doable.

The kind of government support depends on your target province. Read the case of a single mother (student) from here to page 404. Ignore the fights and the parts discussing other issues.

Amandacanny:
Good day guys, plz I need clarification as am planning to land with my 2 kids without hubby. Reason being that him accompanying brought down our score so we decided to apply without him for now. Plz any chance of me coping with them (3 yrs and 1 year old) pending when hubby comes through family sponsorship. Am really worried about taking care of them and working. You guys that have landed already should kindly tell me if is possible. Thank you

Valid for 5yrs.
Amandacanny:
I did my ECA last year and WES assessed it without asking for my WAEC scratch card. Is like that has changed now. Hope mine is still valid. I have my evaluation report though
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 8:21am On Jan 11, 2019
The experience has to be within the last 10yrs, so the 2009-2012 part will work as long as you apply in time this year.

If you can get the reference letter in CIC format, you are good to go. You can also add a LOE explaining that you no longer have the payslips and you have closed the salary account.
Amandacanny:
Good morning my good people, I need the advice of elders in this forum. I worked as a marketer BTW 2008-2012 in a press. Now a fundstransfer officer in a bank. Can't seem to find a suitable Noc for that. Am thinking of using my marketing officer experience. But am concerned about the fact that is been a long time I quit the job. I could get reference though but no pay slips to show. And I've closed the salary account used then. Is there an alternative to pay slips and do u guys advise I use my marketing experience? Plz I need ur take on this

The bolded, only if you were residing in Nigeria as at the time of your application.

Thanks for this.. In addition to not being more than 6 months, it shouldn't be expired too...Looks like they updated it, So Nig PCC can't be used after 3 months..

Sorry about the phone crash. Pls work on the tutorial afresh. May you always remain blessed!

einsteino:
What you are doing is loading your presto with funds, not same as purchasing a pass. In this case, the fund is debited as you use and each transit agency would charge their own fee when you transfer on a trip, in the end it is way more expensive than a pass if you move around at least once every day. I had actually written a tutorial covering the use of google map for public transit and all one needs to know about transit system & fares(plus few tips), I even had picture aids from actual trips I took. unfortunately, just when I was done, I lost a friend and was disoriented for days so was in no state of mind to post. The next day Dec 29, the phone the whole stuff is in suffered an RPM Crash and I havent gained access to it since then.

Maybe I'd start afresh and write the much I can manage to, it may make people's integration quite easier.

Yes, you can. Your BSc is the basis of your qualification to practice.

roblance:
Hello house, pls i need answer to this question :

I manage my brother's production factory for 3.5years before going for my masters program. Can i use this as an experience OR is it better to search for a new job, get a year experience before applying?

Altough the factory has stopped production but I can still get a reference letter and i have my payslips.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 11:08pm On Jan 10, 2019
Since you are expecting in April/May, I think you should wait. Nigerian PPC is only valid for 3 month and you can't submit an expired PCC for the country you currently reside in.

Abeg this police clearance certificate. Is it advisable to do it before getting an ITA. Our score sits at 445 now cause hubby who is the principal applicant maxed out his IELtS. But we cant register into the pool his Iqas transcript hasn't been processed yet. It was delivered since October 26 last year 2018.IQAS it's that bad. Well we ve started gathering documents small by small 445 no be moi moi score abeg. So amongst gathering documents can we go get the PPC down also. Hope it doesn't expire. I am guessing we Wld get ITA sometimes in April or may. Cause Iqas has decided to be unfortunate with their time frame

Congrats to all ITA recipients of Class Jan 10. Is it the new year or this is a special bubbly, joyous and exuberant class?

Congrats to @MsDee29! Go and excel!

One would think by now, CIC will release all the PPR mails on lock down at CIO.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 8:03pm On Jan 10, 2019
I discovered that you need to have the fund needed in your account, six months before application...: Not really accurate. The issue is that you must prove that the money is yours and not borrowed. The 6-months serves as a baseline of ownership and so when you submit your bank reference letter, if the 6 months average balance showing huge inflows in your account, then you must b ready to justify the source.

....but Treasury bill can be less than that. Does anyone have any idea of the minimum duration for treasury bill: You can get 3 or 6 months treasury bills for this process.

overcomers001:

TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 6:10pm On Jan 09, 2019
Just state what is on your program. IRCC only strict about that for those with Canadian education.

etrange:
Yes, it is Master's.

I cannot access my transcript as the school is bent on not giving it individuals. However, I might have to go with your suggestion. That is, using start date as 2015 and end date as 2017 thus having two years as my duration.

As per my final question: I studied at NOUN. I was working full time while studying. This is possible since NOUN is a distance education institution. My employment reference letter states 40hrs a week as my wprking time (that is 8hrs a day). My question is, is I select full time (15hr/wk) under the education section, will it conflict with my work experience for the same period which i have also stated as full time?

Hi Guys!
I have plans for a career change and business analysis has been on my mind for a while now. I will like to start making moves this year(school and elementary certification) in preparation for 2020 launch out.
Do we have any business analysts in the house? smiley

Same person affidavit wil solve that. You add it to your application.

Elders in the house please help advice. Some of my reference letters from individuals my middle name is written as my first name. Does it matter ?

Read through. There might be a way out.
Palominopeaches:
Thanks dear. My only worry with "self employed" so that I may need to show documents of company registration and I don't have them.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 8:46am On Jan 09, 2019
Hmm. For the private tutor thing, you might need to go as self-employed. Check page 1 of this thread or earlier threads for how people got PPR with self-employed or try the search bar.

Palominopeaches:
Hi guys. Please I have a concern. I'm trying to get my reference letters together. In 2013 I taught in a school. But later left in 2015. Then I started teaching privately till date (home tutor)
Now apart from my former school, how can my current employers issue me a reference letter with a letter heading?
Also, I want to show bank statements for the money I received. But would I need to bring bank statements for the entire duration o worked with each person or will a particular number of months' statements be enough?
Please help. Thank you.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 8:42am On Jan 09, 2019
Not necessary.
FirstTImeUser:
Thanks joo2018. I am grateful.you just opened my eyes to the implications. Just to check ...if i edit the profile will I have to a write a LOE during submission of my POF about the 'edit' since CIC will see my initial POF?
THANKS
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 6 by joo2018: 6:44am On Jan 09, 2019
The whole thing is such a unique case.

My 2cents. Try to edit the "ineligible" profile ( eg. increase the POF). If you can edit it, then it is active and you can use it like that.

On the other hand, you are not supposed to have more than one active profile, but I think there will be an exception this time. I'm sure most people have already opened new profiles.

But this is poor from CIC. Why would there be no communication on this issue. And they pride themselves as the most open department in government. SMH.

FirstTImeUser:
Good morning house,

I was one of the applicants that got the new year 'ineligible' express entry profile message. I read testimonies of creating a new profile, increasing the POF and becoming eligible but I decided to stay action on creating a new profile till i see an official information on their website about the "increase in POF" but none up till now.

I will appreciate your comments and opinions.thanks

It looks like getting a car in the GTA is mandatory. Wouldn't it be cheaper ultimately?

einsteino:
Not everyone spends that much on passes in the GTA though, most people's expense would be around $140. The thing is I live in NorthYork, which is a part of Toronto but so far work and classes takes me to Mississauga and Brampton; occasionally I go to York Region(Not the same as Toronto's North York). though Toronto, Mississauga, York Region and Brampton are all parts of the GTA, they each have their own transit agency.

This petition thing.

I noticed a lot of abandoned AVO petitions on change.org. They did not reach the declared 1,000 signings target. This particular petition is at 904. I think it just remains a little to push over. Let's be encouraged.

Zutlin:
Hello everyone,

I know the majority of people here are already landed but PLEASE we need your help. Accra Visa Office is killing us slowly. [s]It seems AVO is where people get sent to be punished for wishing to leave Nigeria.[/s]

Kindly help us sign this petition addressed to Minister of Immigration as regards the slow pace at AVO.
Please help us. We are all tired of the long wait.

Thanks.

Can you help me out by signing this petition?

Since that's what you are given, ok. It is good that the HR provided an email address on the body. If the HR can add a phone number to the body better. But if you can't get it, I don't think you should worry too much.

Mapleking:
Hello Fam, I got a reference letter from our former employers today (myself and spouse) but the letterheads do not have an address and phone number.

It was signed by the HR and the email address was included. The HR service had been outsourced since we left and the owner passed away a few months ago, so the company is at the stage of whining down. I mentioned to the HR the need to have address and phone on the letterhead but he responded that is the only letterhead they have for now. So, can I submit the letter like that and it won't raise an issue?

...prepare concise and informative audit reports..(add the s, minor I know)
...conduct field audits..(change it to site audits, on-site audits or site inspections. Field audit in North America seem to deal more with tax issues).

OluwaFavored:
Hi House,

I have read so many things and gotten much information on this platform. While I prepare for the EE, I want to get reference letter from my employer now that I can get it without stress.

I want to give them below to process for me. Please, go through it and let me know if it meets the requirements. Am looking at NOC 1111 (Internal Auditor)

Please see attached and let me know what am missing.

Thanks so much.

Your spouse is accompanying, right? So no fear. The gift deed should state clearly that the gift is for their child and his/her spouse.
Alobay:
Reason why I am asking is because of the way these white people think. I fear they may think that why am I not collecting the money from my parents, why my in-laws? Like, won't they think that I borrowed it from my in-laws? Please house advise?

Increase the proof of funds way past the minimum number.

Yes I just got the ECA this morning and I have about 5years work experience. I think I stated the right amount for me and my spouse, about $15,531. What do I do now? Review the profile and reenter?

That's a rich story and it is not late.

Thanks for sharing the experiences and the tips and thank God it is all working for you.

WoodcrestMayor:
Hey guys!!!
I’ve been away for a very long long time. Landing gist is stale considering the fact that I touched down in May 2018…8months ago. I won’t bore you guys with details so I will just summarize as well as I can. cheesy

Summarily, research is key and there’s really no midway here. One has to be really deliberate about everything here and I tell you one thing-it is easier to chart ones course here. I wouldn’t deny the fact that it’s easier with age on your side though. People get depressed here too; especially the guys who earned big bucks in naija only to get here to crumbs. Mental strength is key and it is your strongest ally when trying to integrate into the system because everything will try to beat you down and you’ll almost question your competence.
I don’t think we have any under-18 on this thread so nightlife and fine buildings shouldn’t be a reason to choose a province. I met a Nigerian at the Millwoods gym and he told me he has been in Canada for 10yrs. He landed in Quebec because many of his friends chose there but he and many of them had find their levels after 3 years-he’s doing fine now. Another one I heard of in church came from Toronto and got a job in her 2nd week in Edmonton. I met a Somali girl who left Toronto for Edmonton because she wasn’t cut out for the petty jobs that were available to her there. She said some of her friends are still there doing call centre jobs because they like the big city feel.
Last last, na where opportunity dey for your profession pass suppose inform decision to move o!
Also, I will never advice anyone to land here in winter. Friends and family will easily volunteer to take you to places to get things done the first few weeks if you land in summer but you’re more likely to get excuses if you ask them for the same favour in winter. lipsrsealed

May God's favour rest upon us as we continue the journey here.
To our brothers and sisters expecting Accra package, you all shall not be disappointed smiley

Selah!!!
