Acceptable? Why not? You are submitting only one ECA. Should you? Depends on your budget and the urgency of your situation e.g. birthday. You can also name your 1st degree school here and see if someone can help with verification contact. Babeakosua: Good evening Seniors, please I need your advice. PRE-ITA
However, I'm thinking of assessing only my 2nd degree which is from a foreign University with ICES, reason is I think I might complete that Assesment before WES evaluation is ready.
Please is it acceptable to carry out ECA with 2 different bodies? Do you think this Assesment with ICES is a smart move or I should wait for WES?
Thank you. |

Either works. Check the Living in Canada thread, I think someone recently applied for a prtd. Boogy: Good evening everyone,I need to travel to Nigeria and I haven't gotten my pr card. Is it possible I have my card sent via courier by someone or I should apply for prtd when I get to Nigeria. I need ideas from people that have gone through the same experience. Thanks |

I'm not sure that will work. Any doctor online to clarify? Yureyes: Yes.. it was. Three months before my housemanship. I started working at a clinic three months before my induction and commencement of housemanship. |

For the plumbing work, if you are self-employed search this thread for self employed or check page 1 of part 4 thread. SundayphilipNic: thank you @ifeoma. the job I had experience on is not in NOC A, B, or O. I have tried to twist the job position to match it but to no avail. that's why I'm thinking of using Plumbing work. |

It should work. Do you also have an appointment letter that shows your salary? shege45: House please answer o I get paid by cash, i dnt have any pay slip and tax is deducted before we get the money, but each time i get paid, I always put a certain percentage of the money in the bank. If I highlight these cases in my statement of account and also use an loe to explain that I getting paid in cash, also with the reference letter would it be sufficient? |

1. The post you read was probably for self-employed as an extra proof. It is not a requirement. 2. Which NOC? 3. OK. Yureyes: Good day house.
Please i read something about submitting personal income tax clearance form on one of the previous pages.
Please, i want to ask if non payment of personal income tax in a company I worked negatively affect my express entry profile. I worked as an intern for a year and I was paid about 20k and I know i was not being taxed; also, I worked another year for the military and I was told the military isn't taxable. I hope all these won't affect me?
Secondly, i worked fulltime for three months before my licensing. Can I add those three months to my work experience to make it three years? Or i have to start counting from the day I was licensed.
Lastly, I have worked in four places during my three years experience. Is it okay to go with four recommendation letters? Thank you |

Mm. Also means stay in Nigeria one month, in Canada the next month. The stress of long distance flights, the cost? If people are doing that, more grease to their elbows. Debsify: Working 28 days in and 28 days out mathematically means in 5 years, you'll have stayed cumulative of 2 and half years.. |

People do live apart. Each family has to determine it's values and stick to them. To maintain PR status? Unless a person is self employed or in business, it will be hard to maintain the 2 out of 5yrs residence requirement. Some individuals are comfortable with their families being residents and citizens of Canada while they satisfy themselves with just visiting. To each their own. Debsify: what if one has a good job in 9ja and it's a rotation job of 28/28 days? I think the person probably the man can spend his time off with his family in Canada and still maintain his PR status. |

Everybody has to weigh the cost-benefit. Hustle and get through it together or try for one spouse to make it first at the risk of the marriage. The system has a lot of cushions to help out. The kids are covered for school: free education. Provinces have a sort of benefit paid to stay-at-home mums. If your family income is too low, you still qualify for some benefits, etc. Hospital costs are covered (though not drugs) etc. The critical period is before 4-5yrs when kindergarten starts. I know of a couple with young kids. The hubby does shift work. So during the day, the wife goes to work and he babysits. The wife come back in the evening and he goes to work at night. I prefer that to the separation option. At least the family is hustling together. iaatmguy: dont know how to compose this but just my opinion FOR COUPLES GOING WITH CHILD(REN), please and please try to plan your settling down in canada, e.g the family should do a soft landing, then the wife and the child(ren) could come back to Nigeria to continue working, for like a year plus, maximum a year plus . the husband sh(c)ould go and hustle, familiarize for the family lol. why this ? settling down with children can be very daunting, due to high cost of daycare, challenges of renting an apartment, cost of transportation e.t.c. but with one person it is less costly, when the husband is settled fairly, then the family would come join (i have factored in cost of flying). but if the family stays together in CA, proof of funds would be tampered with heavily and might set some folks into panic mode. because one MIGHT not get a dream job immediately. just my two cents. I STAND TO BE CORRECTED |

As long as the school was not in Canada, you are good to go. The date you became qualified to teach is the day of your B.Sc graduation. harquick: I have something here to share with you guys here and seek advice. I started my MSc in 2011 and during the course of my studying for my MSc i had a teaching job in Jan 2013. During my studies i was not on study leave i combined my work with my studies. But I finally graduated in 2015. Please i want to ask if Canada immigration accept working and schooling. Or do I need a letter of explanation when I finally submit my application for express entry. |

Depends on how many days you still have for your ITA to expire and your tolerance level. iamkunski: Dears pls I need your advice. 55% of POF is Gift Deed and I left instruction with my bank to place all POF in Treasury Bills. That's Over a week now and they are yet to initiate the transaction. To forestall further delay, can I just use the regular bank reference and SOA and maybe I can raise CSE for Treasury Bills when bank eventually do? |

Uknown. No official news, so reduced to speculations. Could be: 1. procedural: annual target for VOs met or admissions target for the program met. 2. logistics: unavailability of PR visa counterfoils for passports. 3. administrative: relevant officers on annual leave 4. shadow-chasing: people are receiving PPRs, just not choosing to share the news on this platform and we are wasting time speculating. futureenergy: Good day fellow aspirants! I've not been keeping up with pages because I went to work in remote location with limited internet access. Scanned through some pages and saw that there was a 445 draw yesterday. Congratulations to the ITA clinchers.
It appears there has been scanty or no PPR recently. Is there any thing holding issuance? I saw somewhere that there are no visas to issue, or that it's on hold to rain very soon. Any material to these claims? |

Fill in your actual years. Labaks404: Hello guys, do you fill in duration of study as two years each for both diploma and HND on the express entry page? I know Wes already evaluated as 3years or more, does that mean i have to backdate the HND duration to make it 3yrs or still fill it as 2yrs? For those that did it, how did you fill ur duration of study for hnd pls? |

No change of name needed. Mind you, common-law is acceptable but since it is not common practice in your country, it invites extra scrutiny to your application. ready4glory: Thanks for your honest view, I'll look at going to a registry next month. Please, can we do it at ANY registry? Or must it be Ikoyi?
Also, does that mean my partner would have to do a change of name something before we can proceed? |

For the sake of our brethren here, I really hope CIC isn't trying to keep the figure high.
A simple calculation shows that as at Friday, 3,466 were already on 441 and above. That should have made a case for Monday draw at 440/441. they now waited till Wednesday.
On the flip side, looks like the high points surge has eased a bit. Was a bit concerned we will be going above 450. |
