Udonmeanit!

No offense but I doubt it. How can they give both of us PPR even without her writing IELTS? Adding her without her IELTS drops our points below 440 ordinarily. So I strongly doubt if IRCC will allow us to bypass the need for Spouse’s IELTS by simply marrying her after AOR.

The help part is a generic something. No harm including it tho.

But if I remember correctly, the [? - more infor] part of the upload stated that all travel docs. so I uploaded my current passport first with the travel visas and then the former passport with their visas. no harm including everything, instead of getting ADR for that little thing.

Unlikely. If you run several scenarios on the crs tool, you will find that 440-460 is the sweet spot for getting young foreign educated postgraduates with families viz-a-viz Canadian educated professionals.
nasohian:
CRS score after Masters will be 456.I hope it will not be 460 and above nex year.

No easy way out o. US and Canada share immigration data. It is not fully clear whether the data is shared for all applicants, but it is safe to assume so. What is certain is that marital status is one of the information shared.

I'm not sure he can escape the consequences of his decision as long as you are interested in Canada.

1. Married but unaccompanied
For him to be attempting US green card without divorcing you, he must have presented himself as single in his original US visa application.
If your application is scanned with US and they decide to go deeper, he might be caught out as having misrepresented his application. This will make your application a complex application and stall the processing. He may be found inadmissible for spousal sponsorship and may affect your own admissibility whether accompanying or not.(See here and here and here)

2. Divorce might be the only way to break his application from yours.

However, I do understand the need to preserve ones family. If you are still keen on immigrating, you may explore other countries: Australia, NZ and European countries. These countries don't have a tight immigration relationship with US like Canada.
.
Ubmyhrt:
Hello everyone, I'm quiet new here, pls I need your suggestion on this case

To go straight to the question, I am a prospective applicant for Canada express entry, recently, I got to find out my Estranged husband got married in the US without proper divorce from me. However, I am not interested in implicating him as we have a child together. We are still legally married in my home country.

The question is, can I proceed with my application for the express entry as married but spouse not accompanying? He is willing to give PCC and medicals, but is it going to implicate him ? I learnt also that he is applying for green card over there as well?
I don't want to proceed with divorce because of our kid. Is there any way to go about this?
Will not disclosing his marital status else where be termed as misrepresentation in the EE program?

Canada is sure. What is your crs score with the masters?
nasohian:
Please I need your advise on the best and safest route between Canada and Australia, I understand they are different programmes but with the same objective. Here is the situation.

Canada PR
CRS is low, to increase it;
Am presently studying (Masters programme) which will be completed by July 2019.
With this, I anticipate To get ECA from WES say about Sepetember 2019,and prbably ITA October/Nov 2019, then PPR sometime in April/June 2020.

The alternative is to go for Master in Australia for 2 years which is anticipated to end in early 2021 and then start PR prcoess.
I dont know what Canada hold for immigrants next year.
Can you advise which option is sure and better.
Thanks.

It should be ok for COPR. 6 months is the expiration time.

It means though that you should take another set just before you land. You will submit the new set for your PR card.
Nazor83:
Hello All,

Please is it okay to submit passports I took about 4 months ago for issuance of COPR.
Those who have successfully submitted their passports for issuance of visa should kindly advise.

Thanks in advance.

Five Country Conference High Value Data Sharing Protocol
1. The Five Country Conference (FCC) is a conference of the immigration authorities of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America.

2. The purpose of the data sharing is to assist the countries in managing their immigration programs more effectively.

3. The HVDS Data Sharing Protocol between the five member countries allows for the sharing of fingerprints from up to 3,000 people per country per year. This information can be used in immigration and identity cases for decisions about immigration and deportation.

4. In Canada, approximately 2,800 refugee claimant cases, drawn from a representative sample, will be shared, while the remaining 200 will be immigration enforcement cases.

IMHO, the social work NOC seems simpler.

However, I do get the challenge with getting the qualifications needed.

My concern with the farm NOC plan is that PNP applications pass to 2 levels of scrutiny: SINP and IRCC. At some point during the application, she must put in the record of the social work or risk misrepresenting. How will she then list it, as a "side hustle"? If she can provide a good explanation, good!

Tojued:
Everybody everywhere is strict with social workers. You must evaluate with their professional organisation to be considered one. Prof. Organisation says you must have education in social work.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 5 by joo2018: 5:46pm On Nov 12, 2018
Pardon my ignorance. Is SINP that strict on the education requirements?
Tojued:
My people, please huddle round let's reason together.

I have someone who needs PNP because of age.

Now, her main NOC (social worker) is currently on SINP list, but she doesn't have the requisite education so isn't really qualified. She's willing to do a diploma to gain the qualification, but will take a bit of time and you know how these occupation in demand lists change.

However, she owns a farm which she has been running as a side hustle all these years. And farm manager is also on the demand list. She neatly ticks off all the requirements for this NOC in real life.

Two problems involved on paper:
1. She has not been tidy with documentations all these years. Even sales book, she no get lol.
2. She is very well known in that her main NOC. Google her name and her experience there will pop up. Google her particular field of expertise and her name is also likely to pop up.

I'm thinking we should try getting nomination with farm manager, but if nomination has not arrived as at when we complete our diploma, we recreate profile/switch NOC to social worker. Is this making sense?

Thanks in advance for your contributions.

NOC 6969 grin cheesy grin
Newmum0615:
If you get married after submitting your application, she doesn't need to bring even IELTS to any table. Your CRS score won't be affected. She just needs to submit herself for medicals, PCC and then you add her international passport, photos and make up your POF to accommodate her. You can even add the POF before hand to cover both of you. This thing is not as hard as you are thinking it. In my humble opinion, doing a 'simple' court wedding post AOR is what I'd suggest. You really have nothing much to lose by adding her now and saving yourself the stress of sponsorship later. A couple I know are still waiting a year and a half for the wife to be eligible to sponsor her husband cos the wife had not been able to get a good job that will allow meet the financial requirements for sponsorship. The husband still sends her upkeep allowance from Nigeria here. She only recently got a good job and is hoping to start the process now after almost 2 years of landing. On top the stress, belle come enter the equation as a result of several 'conjugal visits'. cheesy
My brother, Canada is cold o. Skype alone cannot keep you warm. You need the regular warming only your iyawo can provide. How many times do you want to come to Nigeria to come and collect heat from her. She can finish with all her plans in Nigeria and still have the added benefits of being a PR.
In the end, it's yours and hers to decide. Do what you must.
Enuf said.

Emphasizing the bolded. If you for whatever reason marry anytime after AOR, you MUST INFORM IRCC BEFORE YOU LAND!

cc: @venorite
Ifeoma77:
2. Complete your application and go and land. Then come back and marry her. THEN you can sponsor her.
DO NOT do the wedding before landing and not notify IRCC.

The choice is yours

1. You mean changing the test date on the profile? Not sure, but it has been confirmed on this thread the case officers can access the changes in information after submitting a profile. So, I think it might depend on the scrutiny given to the application.

2. Can be done.

3. Revoking Gckey has nothing to do with your application. Your account will still exist whether you revoke or not.

Unsolicited emotional commentating: There is virtue in patience. The race is not to the swift. 2 wks doesn't matter in the long run. If the crs is high enough, the ITA will still be gotten.
efueh:
Still on this issue my people, my friend said her hubby already filled 8th November as trf test date for 27th October MOD test before she asked me which I relayed here and I got the right response.

She has gone to effect the change to 7th November. She wants to find out;
1. Will this affect her transmitted application prior to ITA?
2. If yes can she withdraw her application now and fill in another one as she is sure of getting ITA?
3. What is the effect of revoking Gsckey account? Because she and her hubby are accusing themselves of taking actions that might lead to misrepresentation. There’s Cold War between them as each is saying they won’t forgive the other if his/her actions cause them to stay in Naija for another 5yrs due to ban.
Make una help with advice so this Cold War can be put off.

In addition to the above, the option you are looking for is called "spouse unaccompanying", it calculates your points as if you are a single. However, 435 is still not enough to get you to the promised land. Do as others have advised.

Use the crs tool to run different scenarios: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp

You can include your NYSC emperience (if it is NOC 0,A or B) which will give you the 1yr required experience. You can also run the scenario of your hubby being the PA.
