Waaawuu! That was rough and brutal. It must have taken a while to get over it. And that your US story, very demoralizing. Kai! All the best! SkyWalk12: |
Hi. Express Entry can be processed in Canada. EE covers CEC, FSW and FST. To qualify for CEC, she needs min. 1yr Canadian work experience and no the experience gained while studying do not count. You can check here for more. She should check if she meets up with the requirement of FSW and if so, she can apply. Check here and page 1 of the Nairaland thread. Trizadove: |

Yea, I get that. T just find it interesting. ontarioissauga: |
That's a general statement. You need to look at the provinces individually and check if you meet their criteria. Check this thread for more: https://www.nairaland.com/4180147/all-canadian-provincial-nominee-programs maigemuu: |
Hi bros, try to cc the original case op when replying. That's why I added your reply to mine in the first place. wasseynewest: |
Nigerian PCC is valid for 3 months. Read this: "Date the certificate was issued For the country where you currently live The police certificate for the country where you currently live: must be issued no more than 6 months before the date you submit your application must not be expired For any other country For any other country, the police certificate must be issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row. Some countries put expiry dates on their police certificates. If you have a police certificate that expired, include it. We’ll accept it if: it was issued after the last time you stayed there for 6 months or more in a row it is not for the country where you currently live An officer may ask for a new one later on." https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/apply-permanent-residence/police-certificates.html Richness1104: |
1. There are some reasonable hotels in Ikeja. Use this to narrow down: here. Alternatively you can book a hotel in Ogba which is still reasonably close by. check here. 2. It is some distance away, but you can still make it after your medicals in the morning. You should be able to get a cab from Ikeja to Island. wasseynewest: junewandra: |
Unknown. But the general advice of this thread is to use xe.com or oanda.com for your calculation. iamkunski: |
Use it for ECA or for employment? For employment, I don't think it is relevant as long as you can provide proof of employment. shege45: |
Farming kwa......that's interesting. ontarioissauga: |
1. Google search shows so much options. https://www.google.com.ng/search?q=portuguese+certified+traslator+nigeria&rlz=1C1CHBF_enNG796NG797&oq=portuguese+certified+traslator+nigeria&aqs=chrome..69i57.32162j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8. You can use it to narrow your search. Alternately, you can call the Portuguese embassy to see if they can help out: (+234) 903 780 8670 or (+234) 703 117 0761. 2. If you got your reference letter in CIC format, other things are not needed, However, you may choose to add payslips, statement of account, etc. 3. I don't think so. But if you are still employed with the organization, I will recommend you get it as close to your AOR as possible. dives: |
You can if you meet the CRS score cut-off. Use this link to simulate your points: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp If you don't meet the cut-off, with your knowledge of French, you may also qualify for the PNPs of Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick. Read through page 1 of the thread for more. maigemuu: |

https://www.planningforcanada.ca/ Stage is inconsistent: On the site, it says you need PPR, but some poeple have registered with ITA, AOR and others when they tried they were asked for PPR/CoPR letter. Jbelieve: |

2. Educators are generally in high demand across all provinces. For the "In-demand NOCs" per province, you need to check each province PNP site to see if Educator NOCs are listed. Imarama: |

Work visa = difficult unless you are employed by a Canadian company. TRV = easier and you don't need an agent. happyme31: |
The problem with Accra visa office is not wickedness but capacity constraints . I've spent quite a lot of idle time on canada.ca, justice.ca and all kinds of .ca. It has been interesting reading inspection and audit reports and seeing the development of the immigration program. As at 2012, Canadian High Commission at Accra had about 69 staff of which 17 were for immigration purposes. I doubt the number of staff in the visa office has increased as the policy trend has been to centralize processing as much as possible. These staff are structured into immigration/case officers, mission integrity/program officers, case analysts/agents and support staff. They handle permanent resident application processing for 12 countries in West Africa and temporary resident visa services for 10 of these countries. Lagos VO is the one handling the temporary resident visa services for Nigeria. The permanent resident application includes FSW and family sponsorship under the Family class. This processing currently includes: i. making final decisions and issuing of COPR for all permanent resident applications for the 12 countries in West Africa including those processed in Ottawa, London, Kyiv and other countries. ii. handling the processing of complex EE FSW and FST cases including document review, scheduling and conducting of interviews if required for residents of the 12 countries. iii. processing of outland Canada Family class sponsorship applications for permanent resident of the 12 countries. You can imagine the work. Just how much cases can the staff process in a day? This is the reason applications spend a long time in the processing queue before being attended to. If you want to read more, check here, here and here. In general terms, the Canadian High Commission at Accra is rigid about following protocols. There are 2 cases of Canadians trying to adopt Nigerian kids that I've been following for awhile. For one couple, after 3yrs of adopting, they had to return the child back to the orphanage in Nigeria and go back to Canada after the mother caught malaria and thyphoid in Accra. See here. For the other one, the couple had been trying to adopt the kid for 3yrs. They thought Accra was almost through with processing the papers of the adopted child, so the wife took leave from work, picked the child from the orphanage home in Nigeria and went to Accra to collect the child's papers. For where! After sending her back and forth from one office to the other, they told her her child's application was still under processing, that she cannot jump the processing queue and locked her out of the embassy gates. She stood crying under the hot African sun with her toddler. They have refused to prioritize her case even with a lot of media pressure and attention. She is still stuck in Accra since September. She is currently seriously sick and hospitalized in Accra. Even her MP has been putting pressure. She has written to the Minister. He only replied and told her that her application is under processing. You can read more here, here, here. So if they can be that strict with their own citizen who they are legally mandated to serve, who is a foreign national to them? When you keep calling CIC, sending mails and disturbing MP Ralph Goodale, you are only aggravating yourself and the people you are disturbing. They can only give you status update, they cant or wont do anything to fast-track the processsing of your application. So, get a life! Try and look for things to do move on. |
Mm. Looks ok. My 2cents: since you now know it is Accra, put it off your mind and get on with your life. Check your mails, spam and account only at periodic intervals. Start programs that will enhance your skillset when you finally get the visa. All the best! timtom: |
This makes sense! Ifeoma77: |
The agent really no get joy. Another perspective: I'm not sure it is about the date exactly. The guy apparently submitted only his FD statement that he raised 11 days to his AOR. He/She fixed it for 1yr thinking it would cover all doubts. The guy might get an ADR for 1yr salary account SOA to cross-check that he is not indebted. @Godisincontrol Ifeoma77: |
If your application falls to a thorough case officer, it may invite extra scrutiny. khinde: |
OK. If your points are adequate, you do without Master's. Have you used the crs tool? Check page 11 CuteCeo: |
Please modify your post. You don't want to give the impression you are trying to circumvent the rules. khinde: |
