Politics › Re: Confering GCON On Bola Tinubu Is Expedient by joseph1832(m): 9:38am On May 01, 2015 |
JingoOAU: Looking at the list of those who were fortunate to be conferred with the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger(hope am correct), I think it's politically expedient that the next National Award should honour someone like Tinubu with the GCON title.
Hate or like him, his contributions to the political development of this country can never be waved aside. Infact, Buhari and the teeming APC fans owe him for single-handedly ensuring that Buhari emerge victorious at the primaries.
In my research, I realise that despite his enormous contributions to Nigerian politics, he has never been given any national awards, whereas, people like Edwin Clark, Bode George, Theodore Orji, Alams, Lucky Igbinedion, James Ibori, Aodoakaa, akala, Gbenga Daniel, and host of others who contributed little or nothing to the political development of this country.
Since the GCON is no more a preserve entity for our Vice Presidents, then it's very right and in order that Tinubu be given such an honour
I might be true or wrong, but your suggestions are welcome And just who gave the rogues mentioned above national honors?. Give up? Its the PDP!!!. So my good man, don't be surprise. Thieves celebrate thieves!. |

megacool360: Our usual politics of taking sides and being sentimental has always been our bane since time immemorial. Did you really mean it when you said "transfer the burden of GEJ's failure"? I wonder which past administration hasn't borne the burden of her predecessor's failures and criticized if they dont try getting them fixed - not even the much maligned administration of GEJ was spared of that burden. Besides, it's even on these failures that any intended incoming administration centres her campaign, so i dont see any reason why the burden of correcting the same failures shouldn't be on them if finally elected.
Just my opinion though. And right you are, its your opinion. That's why we've been screaming bout performance! Any well meaning government should centre on performing rather than give excuses for its failures. Its something the GEJ government is very good at, they blame everything on the opposition. I tell you, the problems GEJ inherited from Yar'Adua is not as much as what Buhari will inherit from GEJ because the country is almost in shambles.... Thank God GEJ/the PDP were voted out!. |

Lala247: Hey peeps!
When in a relationship or married if your bae, gf/bf, wife/ husband kissing another person is this considered as cheating? According to Dr Phil: "Anything you can't do in front of your boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/spouse is cheating". And according to me, kissing is cheating, why? Because kissing is a way people express feelings for one another. So why should an individual express his/her feeling for someone they're not dating via kissing that person. And it really doesn't matter what type of kiss is expressed.... |

She and her disappointment can wait for a while. The Chibok girls are already the fault of GEJ because he wasted more than enough time denying that the girls were ctually kidnapped!.
Why transfer the burden of GEJ failures to GMB!. In time, I trust the general may just surprise us all. So Helen, your disappointment can wait!. |

During the last time Baba was HoS, we had to queue for hours before we got items as common as sugar, tea, rice, etc. They were rationed to us as essential commodities by koboko-wielding soldiers, as we stood for up to 10 hours sometimes under rain and sun.
Since then, Baba never attend any school to better his knowledge about governing a country.
Did you not see the ugly treatment soldiers gave to civilians in the filling station yesterday? Before Baba won, soldiers no de display such harsh mannerism. Continue to blame Jonah.
When you were shouting Sai Baba, and people were telling you that you want change from fry pan to fire, hate for Jonathan and his people no allow you think. Next time, a soldier can overthrow a civilian government, then after running military dictatorship, that soldier comes back to you and ask you to vote him president, why can't you vote the ex-dictator and he becomes president?
Last presidential election, you people gave serving soldiers a license to organize military coup d'etat. What on Earth is this dumbo saying! Fellow Nigerians, the patriotic call of today is to rise up and be counted among the numbers to say No to continuity of mismanagement, cluelessness, mediocrity and failure. Let us all embrace #Change led by the incorruptible and astute leader, General Muhammadu Buhari. help3852: But You called the recruitment scam,
FACTS What has GEJ done after the failure of the exercise? 1. Took the recruitment from the ministry. 2. Set up a committee under his office for direct supervision to handle the recruitment 3. Compensated bereaved families. 4. Arranged for refunding of the fees paid by applicants, the money would have been paid by now but Fake names have been added to the list. 5. Organised a fresh recruitment using latest trends eg CBT. Recruitment is in advanced stage.
What else do you want, but You called it scam
Your hate and bitterness. Will not take you anywhere.
if you have clear vision, then look well and stop being bitter. It is simply what APC programmed their Propaganda to achiev, which they have achieved, turning the masses against the government.
Get yourself out of bitterness because it will affect everything you do Mr man! It will do you well to not allow useless sentiment to be your guide. Lemme spell it out for you incase you're too smart not to know. What did GEJ not do: 1: Arrest and trial all those who defrauded unemployed youth. 2: Prosecute those who initiated the job scam 3: Arrest and trial those who orchestrated the job scam for premeditated murder and manslaughter and conspiracy to commit murder. 4: Sack all those who took part in the orchestrating of the job scam without pensions and gratuity!. 5: Sound a note of warming to others that corruption and the lives of Nigerian will and can not be trifled with without severe consequences!. 6: To make sure those who died in the job scam did not die in vein by attempting to bride their families. It is still blood money however way you want to look at it. Your must not and never allow sentiment to cloud your sense of reasoning. Its because you reason with sentiment that's why you can't see all what I mentioned above. |

Anyway Apc has already made people to believethat GEJ is responsible for everything Dude debate with facts and stop giving me tales by moonlight!. From the embolden, is it not the position of the husband to ask why such a meal is heavily laden with salt? And to ensure that such a thing never happens again in the family, especially when such meals can lead to serious health repercussions. And if truly it did, who bears the brunt? The mother or the father?. Dude, please if you don't have any thing concrete to debate with just let silence be your guide so you can stop showing just how myopic you are!. Politics › Re: Jonathan's 5 Horrible Acts Since Losing The Presidential Election by joseph1832(m): 8:58pm On Apr 30, 2015 |
Martins301: If Buhari is said to have made some mistakes since winning the election, then Jonathan blunders since he lost his re-election bid must also be brought to light. Now lets consider them briefly.
1. Releasing The PwC NNPC Audit Report Why didn't he release the report prior to March 28th? Yeah! You guessed right. He knew he would have even lost Bayelsa state if Nigerians saw the content of the report. By releasing the report afterwards, he has shown Nigerians that he abhors corruption even though he himself MAY be innocent. He has also shown that he was prepared to win the election even at the cost of surpressing the truth
2. Sacking Galore Choi! Baba GEJ has sacked over 4 persons since he lost his re-election bid (less than 1 month ago). From NPA boss to NHIS boss, FAAN and even the Inspector General of Police, non has been spared the wrath of a sour loser. 3. Accepting & Then Questioning His Defeat Why did he publicly accept in the first place? Is he now jealous of the attention Buhari is getting?
4. Hindering A Smooth Transition Moving the date already agreed for handing over notices to be submitted from April 20th to May 14th is a covert way of jeopardizing a smooth transition. He probably doesn't want the incoming government to do a thorough job of screening and scrutinizing the handover notes.
5. Covertly Removing Fuel Subsidy By doing this, he is openly setting a trap for the incoming government. But angry Nigerians should know where to direct their anger.
Feel free to add to the list. I will come and add more later. I wan go cook my funky okro soup.
Source: Martins301 The number 3 point you listed speaks volume of GEJ!. It only proves that he is still as clueless as ever!. I even wonder what happened to his wife? She's been relatively silent. I guess she's preparing her mind to go to jail!. |

naija2dabone: 1. A legion of excuses and change of promises
Since winning election, Buhari has been singing a new tune totally different from what he told us prior to the elections. From "dont expect miracles", to "my agenda threaten by falling oil prices" Now we even hear that the APC's manifestos which Nigerians voted for 'is not the bible or Qur'an which can not be change' See gobe
2. Barring AIT Old habits die hard. 'repentant democrat' indeed. The fate of even nairaland is in the balance
3. Rewarding founder of BBOG group with political appointment That the activities of this group is suspect from the start is no news but with this all doubts about their mission and aims have been cleared. They may have many lofty aims as a group but now we know that rescuing the chibok girls is not one of their aims
4. Promises Selective probes (Case in point, Sanusi's £20 billions) One of the think Buhari was accused of during the campaigns was his tendacy for selective prosecutions. Now tell me, what about the Financial Reporting Council allegations of fraudulent financial recklessness leveled against Sanusi himself including the Sanusi’s claim that it paid N38.233 billion to the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Company Plc in 2011 for the “printing of bank notes” whereas the turnover of the entire printing and minting company group is N29.370 billion.
5.Promoting god fatherism in Nigeria political space From hanging out with OBJ to granting interview to Aljezera insinuating that OBJ is his political god father. We all know that political god fatherism is one of the bane of our national development as all political god fathers are rent seekers
6. Making Corrupt politicians the pillars of his team For some one who made all the right noises about fighting corruption to be nomination a committee filled with people with corruption cases with EFCC leave much to be desired. Even making Timipre Sylva, who is accused of stealing N19.2billion from the state treasury while he governed the state between 2007 and 2011 as the head of his team is a shame
7. Forming a parallel government. Through his actions and utterances, the incoming government was overheating the polity and carrying out actions which tend to undermine the powers of President Goodluck Jonathan. Do unto other as you wish other do to you Believe me, all this can not be as worse as doing nothing like GEJ did with the Immigration Job Scam!. So Mr man, make we her word abeg!!! |
