ogechukwuka: Those (pompous know it all) presenters especially the lady should appologize publicly to the man and his family. Imagine treating your guest like that. If he hadn't honoured their invitation it would have been better. This is not journalism. Its witch huntingare you sure you Will recognise your name if written in caps? |
oyb: you fumigate a house in the middle of the bush and you expect it to be effective?NYSC fumigation during our own time was no joke, i could rem. asking a friend why not even an ant could survive. they burn a reasonable perimeter of the bush before the actual fumigation. about your office, i have a first hand experience on that. do you use fumigation contractors?? the contractors tone down the conc. of the active ingredient to maximize profit, that way they remain in buisness. there was one that sent us a quote for the exercise and there was this chemical he quoted very high. phementrine or so, dunno if i got the spelling right. in the quote he charged us for 12% w/w of that chemical , after the job, the insects multiplied. the next month we called him again while mixing the concoction i asked him to do it in my office, trust me i had to endure a serious pungent odour. i asked him to leave me a sample, after serious hesitations he agreed, when the lab guys sent in the analysis report the so called active ingredient was 0.05%w/w against the 12% i paid for. your fumigation contractor is a thief. they abound in ph. you really need to mark them closely before they deliver. |
vifald101: I was sleeping on my bed in the male block one when some some other corps members in the main hall were shouting and telling me to jump out of the room.. I thought they weren't serious so I didn't respond instantly, when I saw that the shout was becoming more serious, I quickly wore my cloths and jumped out.. Some of the boiz then went inside the room and brought out the snake dead after some minutes.. I was so scared.. I wonder what our country is turning into.. The safety of corps members aren't even guaranteed.. The toilets are messed up.. We live like prisoners and refugees.. God help us.serious fumigation is done before camp mobilization, though located in the bush, you hardly see an ant. i wont be suprised if corruption has embezzled the money for that purpose. |
lacasa: which one of those items on that list no dey MarketI almost asked where Novena, bed mate and other big furniture retailers get their Italian goods from |
lacasa: which one of those items on that list no dey Market |
NRI PRIEST: Does this even make any sense ? How can a baby come out of a same sex intercourse ? Fani Kayode has gone nuts!only if u didnt use your school fees for kalo-kalo |
Jarus: I don't see Maupe as that intelligent. She bullies too much. That's not her first time. Suleiman would have managed the situation better.bully you said? i dont think so there are so many block heads piloting the affairs of this nation that is the reason this nation is not making progress. the media has exposed a whole lot of rot in the Nigerian polity, i know most of you do not rem. one big gaffe they exposed during the subsidy saga that was remarkable. A top functionary in the ministry of pet. resources was asked "shouldn't the NNPC be concerned over the entire situation"? the f00l replied " NNPC relies on crude from the private sector for it's 5 refineries" i couldnt believe my ears. Nepotism is about to crush this country. |
anelka101: The more i hear it the more it annoys me,even on NL,is that man not old enough to be anybody`s father? or how will you fell if he is your dad? its just a sign of imature on thr side of those that still regard it as a jokewhat ever it takes to sanitize this sh!!t hole country. he is old enough to be your dad but he is too old to realize that he is too incompetent for the job. we both know there are a billion and one competent hands out there, but sentiments like yours and the nepotism of ''the oga at the top" has made him a star. this is just the beginning. |
JudismphD: The Price for mediocrity and parochialism. U dnt blame anybody for ur pitfall. A man lacking in knowledge will definately perish and 'my oga at the top' will not be an exception.is he scared of his new found staus? he is a star for god's sake |
Braveht: So much for Movies. so this is what nollywood now produce.after one week of release, the movie will sell 1m copies, who bought dem? Ghosts? I wont be wrong to assume you are amongst that statistics, wonder how you saw the poster if you didnt go to purchase it, pervasive hypocrite |
yuzedo: For those of you who missed it, the NSCDC commandant (Lagos State) was being interviewed on Channels TV.those are the kinda empty skulls who pilot the affairs of this nation, thanks to Nepotism and you wonder why the Nigerian boat is capsizing |
Rubyventures: Let's try and be mindful of our utterances towards the religion of others and show a bit of respect especially when you do not understand.what do you understand by a group of adults locking themselves up in a room for days to select a leader for over 1billion people? an action that was never replicated by Jesus the Owner of the religion they represent? now tell me, is the Papacy bigger than Jesus?? if Jesus did not do it then it is unchristian and as such doesn't have a place in the church. this is common sense.or is there a place in the bible where Jesus and his apostles had a conclave to select any form of leadership? Peter was the head of the apostles was he selected through conclave? so the present day Roman Catholics now know more than Jesus in his own religion? i dey laugh!!! |
dayo1401: I ask a simple question.....forget about foreign reserve....lets talk about sovereign wealth fund... ....what sense does it make for Nigeria to be saving in SWF..instead of spending such money on infrastructural projects..like road...power..agriculture..thereby creating job..diversifying the economy...growing the economy,..reducing dependency on OIl..and ultimately increasing its income throgh taxes...Most of you have knowledge of the economics of the process, unfortunately, the PDP led Govt doesn't apply economics. the reason why every govt tries to save in the face of poverty is because there are crucial event that need money to be settled, not necessarily infrastructural developments. if an impeachment threat is leveled at the president what does he do? share money to the house if the president wants some phoney bills passed, what does he do? share money to the house campaign, elections, all cost money hence why they save. I bet you by may 2015, the so called SWF, ECA and foreign reserve will be missing. |
HQ: First the CIA, Now some Latin-American Drug Cartel?did you bother to find out why opium sales went all time high at a time alqeda was operating in afghanistan, in a region known to have vast opium fields? |
lecturerdabo: You don't decide for me if there is a difference leave that to me. You don't pay yet You are not better than the Dangote you mentioned. Well, as long as I don't dictates or criticize what you do with your resources, then I ve a right to that little privilege also.I am not dictating anything to you, but you will be lying to me, if you tell me you don't beg from people because you pay tithe, you cannot prove that. |
Patuwa: Paying of tithe should not be made by force. I hate when pastors threatens people with the bible, because they knew that actually everything is in the bible. No time for dulling, make una no let any pastor gbab una omalachai 3 promised to open the windows of heaven in abundance if i pay my tithe, i believe the bible, but on a second thought, i am not a greedy man, if Dangote without paying tithe could acquire a whooping $16billion, it is only a greedy man, that will wish to see that window of abundance to open on that. I have a target of wealth i wish to acquire in life, i am not greedy, the windows of heaven will be most needed by people without shelter on the streets, unfortunately, they need to part with 10% of their income to claim it. in summary, Give me $16billion without tithe, believe me, i don't need that windows of heaven to open truly, life isnt fair |
tonididdy: its ok.jesus was called diffrent names on his way to the cross...attend a church bro...the devil dosent forget nor forgive but jesus doeswhat are the questions you ask yourself in church? be honest with your answer |
iv4fb: In as much as some pastors may say series of stories to make u pay ur tithe aint sufficient for us to judge them. Let God b the judgeAnd you allow pastors to judge your pocket lol |
tonididdy: ewu asaba...you must know that with GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.why are u attending church,if u cant beleive anything the pastor says?so long as churches continue to thrive in Nigeria, i will always doubt the sanity of my country men. |
lecturerdabo: I'm proud I pay my tithe! never begged bread from those who do not pay so why are they crying on my behalf? No difference if you dont pay, The richest man in Africa and the 43rd richest in the world is a Muslim and has never paid tithe in his life, he is worth a whooping $16billion more than all the tithe paying and collecting pastors put together, think about it!! |
jammyng: No area can truly boast of steady power supply in Nigeria. All the suburbs of Rivers and Bayelsa states, thanks to the Oil companies operating there. you need to visit places my guy |
Sincere 9gerian: Many Nigerians can deny their father just to score cheap political points. Good Things are happening everywhereTwo places out of so many in one state out of 36 plus FCT and you qualify it as "Good things happening everywhere"? sagamite please find a suitable title for this non living thing, fvcktard wont cut it this time. |
crackhouse: I am suprised that most of the people that commented here can't endure the 100naira charge. This is poverty at its peak, it goes a long way to show that Nigerians are poor people. na waooAnd you are one of the beneficiaries of Freedom of speech? and you deserve to have an opinion? so you read everything i ve written so far and you think this is about 105naira. i don't really expect you to be smart but sometimes when some issues are way beyond your IQ, you keep quiet to save yourself some embarrassments. it may be 105naira and 150naira to you but to me it translates to a very huge amount in the long run, i dont expect you to have the IQ to figure it out. you think you are rich enough to afford anything your bank doles out to you? this is a true test of financial recklessness, you just proved that you don't have the A,B,C knowledge of making money. let me tell you a quick story as a reminder, before gani fahewehimi passed on, he took the federal government to court on more than 18 occasions on policies he believed were anti masses, was he the only Nigerian affected by those policies? was he the poorest or jobless lawyer in Lagos? less than a decade on, we now have come to the reality how well the other citizens who went sleeping fared. just two weeks ago, a 79 year old man took to the streets to protest the smuggling in of an excess 0f 2billion naira into the 2013 budget at the behest of the first lady, at that age do you think you are better than wole soyinka? do you think you are more accomplished than wole soyinka? do you think the money will be paid into his account? and lastly do you think he is the poorest in this country? let me give you a clue, the Nobel price as at 2007 was worth 1.5million usd, this price money in its equivalent was won by wole as back as 1986, do the maths on return on investments from that time till date, muddle it up with the fact that he is an accomplished writer who have sold priceless literature. can you qualify that kinda man as being poor? young man, the reason i presented these facts before you is to give you a little awareness beyond your poverty ideology, i may not be able to convince you why people stand up to oppression because i have no doubt in my mind that you lack the mental capacity to handle it. about the internet bandwidth you alleged, it is a lame argument but coming from you, i am not surprised, FBN is maintaining the same internet infrastructure of 2012 in 2013 and within the year ended raked in 54.12 billion in profits alone, how does the same internet infrastructure justify the 150% increment? talking about internet, are you aware that some people before now had little or no need for the internet save for this cashless policy, a daily 10mb on a smart phone is enough to check your emails daily for most people, do you chose to forget that the bank's internet infrastructure is useless without the customer's infrastructure? do you think that before now those services were free? i want you to justify the increment not dance in circles. poverty is a state and only you can decide whether or not to stay in it as for me, i refuse to accept a 150% increment on a service charge without provocation. |
you just beat me to it, i was about opening a thread on this subject matter this morning FBN sent me a message saying that from 11th of feb 2013, all transfers to other banks below 500k will attract #105 while above will attract #150. it was 47 naira before now across board. i have not gotten any similar notice from my other banks, which leads me to believe that it is not an across board directive from the CBN. FBN is trying to set a precedence that will be worse than the ATM saga, we are talking about above 150/105naira multiplied by total transactions per day, this is absurd. the CBN Gov. convinced Nigerians that the Need to go cashless was permuted to reduce cash transfer risk and logistics charges including cost of printing notes, FBN this month has turned it into an avenue to extort customers. the internet infrastructure we use to facilitate those transactions are being maintained in part by both the customers and the bank. this defeats the cashless policy of the CBN and it is more worrisome why the CBN boss is keeping quiet. if we save money for the govt for printing less cash, cash handling charges, security etc, the least they should do is to charge less on those transactions.because we bear a brunt in the internet infrastructure for a transfer from an FBN maintained current account, you are charged COT per tramnsaction, charged alert on the transaction(which i have noticed in recent time is higher than other banks), charge you inter bank transfer rate, charge you VAT on COT and sundry vats. amidst this jamboree on your account, they hardly pay a reasonable interest on savings account. what the new policy entails is that for every 1,000 naira you transfer from your FBN maintained current account to another bank (after paying for your internet), you lose another 173 naira, above 10% of my transaction worthhuh? God help you if you transfer above 500k. Now if you dare transfer 1million naira or 500k on POS, kai! your account will squeeze face immediately. what good reason does first bank have for these arbitrary charges? cost of cash handling over the internet? cost of printing e currency? imagine charging me VAT on COT? VAT on the money you are making from my moneyhuh shouldn't it be the other way round? why not charge VAT on SMS charge? FBN are the latest thieves in town, im putting those accounts on hold pending when those Agbero in Suit realize that making money is not easy in Naija. the most annoying of it all are salary accounts where you have to transfer to 50staff at a time, the bank charges alone is enough to hire an extra staff. Nonsense!!! |
Johnnoah1st: 2ND TO COMMENT? gerald09: That is exactly what will happen. Cos 80% of Nigerians dat will be opportune to carry out dat function will collect bribe (normal) and d remaining 20% will probably not show up at all. After everi dey start the "blame jonna game".what kinda administrator does it make you when you cannot bring bad eggs in your team to book? |
SELFWORTH: It's only naive people that will support these mass destruction without any plan or process. The same wicked govt will have been collecting rates from homeowners. NNPC is not even a govt but feels its right to go and pull down anything. What about those whose properties were their before NNPC?you spent so much time in church and left no time for school, see where it has landed you. |
gerald09: As I hav always said the only way most Nigerians abide by d rule is tru force, very soon dey would claim to be loosing 5billion a week 4geting about d blood shed dat dey wuld hav inflicted on the children, y d hell wuld u knowingly build a structure on top a petroleum/gas pipe line, u for jt go build church for boko haram training camp dat stupidity actually does make better senseexactly why democracy is not working here, prudent dictatorship is ideal for Naija |
alex406: Senseless nnpc. Is that the best way to approach it?In Nigeria, the route pipeline passes is termed "Right of way" under the law, no sane human being has the right to go near it, An ambulance carrying an accident victim has "right of way", are you saying you should be compensated for blocking an Ambulance? here in portharcourt, Shell's ROW are cleared and locked, you need authorization to walk through let alone build a house, except when the pipeline has been decommissioned. the sad truth is that, you are already homeless the day you chose to build on a right of way |
FRR1: God bless you my brother. Seriously! I have been looking for someone that thinks like me. There is no way foreign investors will come into the country and invest in a regulated market. The market must be opened up.that someone thinks like you is an indication he is suffering what you are suffering. could it be ignorance?? |
