dahonestboss: can these thread be deleted pls?Done. Thanks for that. |

All you need is your school fees then the £7200 maintenance money. |
sasundar: \hi everyone,i got an offer from university of Sheffield to do my masters programme.Course date starts on 24th sep 2012.My queries are Please don't resign your job, take a study leave, though the UK embassy will not ask for your resignation letter. |
oyewolejos: Guys cool down not everything in Nigeria is fraud. U can get a re-issue done by proxy and this is legal. All they do is reproduce a new Passport with your info that is already stored in their database. Your height or age might changed but not your fingerprints. I was once in dis situation and i got it done by proxy in August 2009. American citizens replace their lost passport from the comfort of their house. As per the exit or entry stamps u don't need it in this case as u are not applying for a new visa that u need evidence of departure from the UK. All u trying to do is to get your old visa on your passport. How u got the passport replaced is not the business of the UKBA.Wrong. Only in a corrupt system like Nigeria will somebody get e-passport by proxy as long as you know 'somebody who know somebody' or bribe your way out of it. The details you submitted before might have changed, you address, your height, maybe you had an accident and lost an eye or any other form of disability, these details have to be as accurate as it can be, basically they have to make sure that you are who you claimed to be. Entry and exit stamp in passport matters and where you got your passport matters as well. If you are holding a new e-passport in UK for example that was issued in Nigeria, that passport supposed to show the exit stamp from Nigeria and entry stamp into the UK, the same passport number will show in your UK visa. If that passport was issued at the Nigerian embassy in the UK then exist and entry stamp is not a problem but when traveling out of the UK you need to carry both your old and new passport. |
hottingdud: niralanders please how do i get a working permit in europe?By applying through the embassy of that European country you tend to work in. |
holloziggi: Hey house ,on the visa form when dey asked when do u wish to travel, can I put 2days to my resumption date??Traveling a week before your start date seem more appropriate if its your first time in the UK. |
Adiahabasi: Hi everyone, Is d oanda exchange rate print out a neccesity?I heard about it for d first time on this thread.what's d rationelle behind it since d BHC website already fixed d conversion rate at 270.So I'm of d opinion that one should just hv enough in d acct based on dis conversion rate,or what do u guys think? This is from UKBA.............158. If a Tier 4 (General) student is using overseas currency, we will expect him/her to show (write on their application form) the closing balance in pounds sterling. We use the official exchange rate on the OANDA website, which can be found at www.oanda.com/convert/classic....... |
honey86: If she ticks "no" in section 6.17,She will have to jump to part 7 and will not be able to fill 6.18, 6.19 and 6.20You don't fill every section of the form, that is why you are given choices, yes or no, you tick the one that directly applied to your situation. If she is owning the school some remaining fees then yes she will tick Yes and complete the form. |
.....and in 6.2 you are asked: Have any of your course fees been paid? if you tick yes then you go to Go to Question 6.3 where you have to write down the amount you paid ...then 6.3 you tick a box beside...Shown in the CAS |
ikcbn: So y i§ there a space below the question where you would have 2 enter your maintenance fee b4 totaling d̶̲̥̅̊ entire money? The issue of maintenance fees has been dealt with in 6.8 where it says....... You must have £800 per month to cover maintenance in the UK (up to a maximum of 9 months). See the Tier 4 Policy Guidance for a full explanation of maintenance charges. Calculate the amount you will require and enter this in the space provided. then there is box where you have to write the £7200 |
http://www.uel.ac.uk/international/advice/applications-outside-uk.htm
Not this one, someone posted one with diagram here last month or so. Thanks anyway. |
Anybody with a link to UEL interactive form? |
Atlantis85: Oh, now y'all are scaring me oo. Actually if I were to go by the UEL interactive form, I'd tick Yes, cos maintenance fee is outstanding. Its still with me and I'd go further down to 6.20 and tick personal bank statement Às evidence of money held.I'm not scaring you, i'm basically telling you that you don't have to tick yes because you don't have any fee left to be paid. If you tick No then you go to 7. where you will have to put your CAS number and number of points you are calming which is 30 +10 giving the 40 points needed. The ECO can easily check that out, in your CAS it stated that you are not owing any fees and you submitted bank statement showing your maintenance money, that gives you the 40points. Your CAS and bank statement which shows your complete maintenance money covers you in that section, so ticking a wrong box will not necessary get you a refusal, but maintenance money is not an outstanding fees to be paid. |
Donxavier:You can buy international calling cards or sim card, they cost £5, yes calling landline is cheaper. |
double08:They need to be hidden. |
ikcbn: Sorry i used ϑaτ̅ word accomodation instead of maintenance, all i was tryin 2 say i§ ϑaτ̅ she has 2 fill ϑaτ̅ out cos she would need 2 show wit her bank statement as a prove ϑaτ̅ she has itLike i said before, the CAS and the bank statement is there to help the her, so such mistake can be seen as a minor one because she met all the requirement with paper evidences to proof it, ticking a wrong box 'may' not get you a refusal but ticking YES is wrong. |
ikcbn: Plz do not give her room for doubts cos frm wat i understand n knw frm this, she i§ right going wit YES, filling d̶̲̥̅̊ Tuition : £0.00 and den £9000 or £7200 for accommodation irrespective of whom she i§ going 2 pay ϑaτ̅ to. The sch or a private Landlord.£7200 or £9000 for accommodation? Where did you get that from? You don't need to pay for any accommodation, its not part of requirements, all you need to do is show the £7200 in your bank statement, nothing more! Please lets not mislead people, she will not be there to clarify any mistake, not all ECOs will see it as a genuine mistake. If that is what you have done in your application then pray that the ECO will see it as a minor mistake. |
Donxavier: Thanks very much. More questionsNobody can tell you how much phone call will cost you, you will tell yourself when it hits your bank balance. If your gf is on yahoo or Skype then you can call her for free through any of those |
Atlantis85: I'd write 0.00 den write 7200 in d maintenance fee box?So you ow your school £7200 maintenance money or who? Well.. i leave it to you, but just don't give the ECO an excuse to refuse you visa. |
Atlantis85: I've paid my full school fees. I dont owe the school.Good, so if you ticked yes, how much are you going to put in those boxes? |
eezeebone: @Atlantis I'd say print out the relevant part of the University document/website/whatever that says they will give you a 2% discount and explain this in the "notes" section. She doesn't. |
Atlantis85: I just clocked something on my CAS. Actual school fees is 12650 with a 2% discount if full fees are paid before resumption. I paid (full discounted) fees of 12397 but here's what's written on my CAS regarding fees:Those two lines explains it all, they stated how much the fees is and how much you paid, that shows that you own nothing. |
eezeebone: I guess she knows what to doYes but if she ticks yes, how do you expect her to write down as the amount she owns the school? |
eezeebone: @Justwise, lets just look at it from another angle. Ignore the fees... and look at the instructions:If she says No she has evidence..the CAS and her bank statement. The CAS shows that she owns nothing while the bank statement shows that she has her maintenance money. Now..if she says YES, the question is... how much do she own the school? |
Atlantis85: @justwise, I think @eezeebone is right. And I think that's what @salsera too was tryna say. Thanks y'allOk, how much do you own the school? |
Justwise is right. The English is very simple there and its an easy YES or NO. And if you have paid your tuition in full, the answer is NO Many people have made mistakes there and still got their visas. But why do the wrong thing and give the ECO double work.
Yes that is because the CAS is there to save that person, the ECO may see it as a genuine mistake, if not then its contradicting because the CAS shows that you own nothing while the form shows that you own some money. |
eezeebone: @Justwise @Atlantis, I believe the answer is "Yes" then you fill in: She does not need to pay that money to anyone, that is her maintenance money, the question is: Does she have any remaining fee to pay? If she has paid all the fees then the answer is NO. The CAS will also state that she has no money left to pay. The bank statement will show that she has her maintenance money, so she does not own the school any school fees or accommodation money. |
Donxavier: People who did my course last year only had classes 3 days a week. Let's even assume things have changed now and it's 4 days, at least weekend should be free and I can be fully concentrated on my books during the weekdays. I heard there are lots of assignment and all that.Yes that maybe lecture only, you still have group works and seminars then time to do assignments. In most Msc courses you will do at least 8 modules per semester, because Msc courses are done in a yr in the UK its always intensive with a lot going on within short period. |
Donxavier: How long does it take to get the NI?It takes less than a month. |
MRbrownJAY: with Kobayashi and Maldonado at the front, the probability of some disaster is PRETTY HIGH, lol.....and since somne of the drivers at the back are going to try some crazy shiit in order to get on the podium tomorrow, we are set for another fantastic race.It will be a safety car race tomorrow, those two individuals don't give a monkey whether you are a world champion or not, they will take the drive-through and spoil the race for you. ![]() |
MRbrownJAY: it doesnt look great at the moment as they all qualified MISERABLY (apart from Raikkonen), lol!! hopefully Maldonado will create some disaster and Ferrari/Lotus can cruise pass any of the top 5.He is a bad news, who will be his victim tomorrow? Lets wait and see. |
