I'm not here to rain any insult on anyone but I believe we are all matured enough differentiating the right from the left, I can see this whole thing is going beyond what I'd envisioned and it's cuz of ppl like you Nigerians are seen as wicked souls, if we can't respect ourselves, what impression are you then giving the foreigners about us,you don't just criticise or judge people just so quick, those who live in a glass house don't throw stone. I'm damn sure, you aren't a straight forward person yourself and would advise you pick the peck from your eyes first before you help others. Without your help or anyone's that won't stop me from traveling to Austria, what God has perfected is different from what he will have to deliberate on, without doubt you are not a person of repute and you fall my hand gan, big time. Mark my word fella.
Done with you, stop dropping your email address in every thread asking for private chat.

You can rant-on.

That ur last comment was uncalled for, there is no kid here, I think we are all adults here and we shouldn't be deprived rights of sharing contacts with other members, mind you it's not a dating site, besides he's not acting being an agent or something, I needed firsthand info from olasdot and was meaning to talk him into discussing with his friend on my behalf so I could get the whole load down of every bit of info I needed as regarding the thread subject matter, please kindly let him see my email contact this time, Believe me in you, no one with any questionable character here, don't jump into quick conclusion about people's character just like that, that's so bad. Meanwhile, I appreciate your concern and effort towards making the travel section of NL scam free with co efforts from other moderators too, you are all appreciated.

Please in which of the Austrian Uni was your friend admitted? If you are able to see my email contact this time, please kindly add me to your yahoo messenger contact, thank you.

Mr moderator, why do you keep getting people intentions twisted, I mean no harm to anyone dropping my email, besides I was the one to be worried about the consequences of me dropping my email, I'm not a kid and don't need to be told how to go about things that has to do with my life, if you go about nailing people down then I see problem with NL. I used to be a member of several forums in the past and I don't think if the moderators of those forums were so quick in judging the intentions of their members, then lot of people would have forgone their membership. By the way,I thought NL was meant for disseminating information, how come people aren't allowed to share idea on a private chat if they want to, must everything be made public to other members of the forum? Yes, I needed info, and he has been helpful in sharing some with me, the willingness of pursuing a further conversation with him outside the forum should be at my own risk. I don't think everybody need you looking down on them, I for one I don't appreciate that idea of you Mr, not everyone that's willing to drop email contact in pursuant of information have interior motives here, that's why Nigeria is not growing because we are so negative minded and we seem to have loss trust in one another which is a bad omen and would def undermine the progress of a nation at large. Pls, don't keep jumping into conclusion about people without a good evidence, I mean no harm to anyone here and I'm old and experienced enough to detect scam if I see one coming, kindly unlock my email and let olasdot be able to contact me, I have some other info I needed from him personally that he might not want to talk about on here, which I might not be willing to ask in the forum too, not all clothes you spread under the sun, if you are a Yoruba man you should know what that implies.
What do you call sharing info? if everybody here take their ideas offline you will not have anything here to read, this forum is about sharing ideas, debating ideals openly, not dropping or collecting emails addresses for private chat.
We can as well block this thread because there is no need for it again since you want to share your idea in private.

I don't want you to lure other people who want to contribute openly here offline, that was why i hide your post, i did not hide it because i'm trying to protect you from fraud, no, i don't care if you get defrauded, its your call.

I just don't want you to kill the spirit of sharing ideas openly.

A London university has been banned from teaching overseas students,
leaving more than 2,000 undergraduates potentially facing deportation.
London Metropolitan University has had its ability to sponsor students

I'm not surprised at all, they saw it coming.

queensmith: Its easy for you to say given you arent actually making a point. It's not difficult to understand I don't know why you are having difficulties, and like I keep saying you are asking questions in circles.

I have answered your questions, if what I have said isn't factual it will be easy for you to dispel my 'claims' with facts. You can't, which is why you keep asking the same question over again.

Nobody is debating that he went to court or that he sought asylum? What point were you trying to make there?
You have not answered any question, all you have done all long is to repeat the same thing...which is that the allegations were cooked up and he did not break any law US law.

Why would an innocent person who committed no crime be running away from the law for 2yrs? He was not charged for any offence but an allegation, Sweden and US does not have any extradition agreement, so why would Sweden extradict him to US?

Temistatics 007: they are not really against the west,if you ask an average middle-eastern citizen that question, their main meaning of WEST is america.now to the question==
cos of injustice on the part of america, especially afghanistan and kuwait.for example, afghanistam,do you know cos of osam bin laden, the US sends drones to some locations they think osama might be at just to 'flush him' out or kill him thereby killing millions of innocent citizens, its for this reason that many arabs say kabul may not know peace for decades even after the death of osama.
*Libya-do you know what america did to libya under the cover of taking down gaddafi,do you know how many oil barrels were taken by NATO-usa,framce and britain mainly?
Do you also know its not a coincidence that syrians don't want america help even in the verge of death since they don't want their country to be more devastated by the war once its finished as currently experienced at libya,no peace at libya till date, there are still internal conflicts after the fall of gaddafi.bessides, the USa never does things without javing a huge chunk of the gain

America killed millions of people in Afghanistan? What is the population of Afghanistan? Where is the evidence that America, Britain and France stole barrels of oil from Libya, you are just making some unfounded allegation without any reasonable logic.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Julian Assange:UK 'threat' To Arrest Wikileaks Founder Inside Ecuadorean Embassy by justwise(m): 6:02pm On Aug 29, 2012
queensmith: Thats not much of a debatable point, I doubt there is any evidence the claims weren't cooked up. Its going to be a matter of one word against another. If you read about the case he partied and slept with one of the accusers after the rape supposed 'rape' occurred,
And thats not the point, the UK may extradite Assange to Sweden, Sweden have no evidence Assange raped anybody? You don't need to have broken a law to be extradited it seems, you just need to be charged with an offense.
The US want to charge him with treason, I don't know why they think he has any business with allegiance to the United States,Assange has broken absolutely no US law and you just keep asking questions in circles.
Your points are all over the place, i can't make out exactly what you are going on about, you still have not answered my question...which is..if you claimed that the allegations were cooked up and that he has not broken any law in US why then has he being running away from the law for 2yrs?

He went to court to challenged the extradition order and failed as many time as he tried, now he ran to Ecuadorean embassy for an asylum, why would an 'innocent' person be taking such steps? Why is he afraid of going to Sweden to answer those allegations? He was not charged for anything.

Yeah...i think justwise's advice is the best,if she can bear it,let het go alone, but she would ave indicated that she is married with a child on her form.when they are coming later they can even qualify for reduced maintenance,i think someone did that earlier on this forum.
Clever man, best decision.

Donxavier: Great advice, this simplifies the whole process. My question is when she is there and now invites them, Will they(the husband and children) apply for a visitor's visa or what type of visa will they apply for?
Also will she need to state in her application that her husband and child will come and join her sometimes later or leave the dependant space blank.
They will apply as her dependant and the form is there as well.

It will be a good thing to make use of the blank page in the application form to state that she will be inviting her family later after she might have settled down.

tominiyiE: @justwise,@Don, thanks so much. This just explains it all.It think the best bet is to go with one's husband.
I saw a line saying 'child-care policy' what does that mean really? and the 'family-oriented' accomodation, will a 2- bedroom flat convince the ECO?
My sponsorship letter came out and the amount didnt cover for my dependants. So I think we have to include the bank statement but that will delay my application.
Latest date of enrollment is 8th of Oct. I havent asked for an extension.
I am in a serous dilemma. Any Suggestion?
Yes 2bedroom flat will do if its just you, your husband and the child.

Please take your time and read that child-care policy, it will make the whole thing clearer for you.

My advice for you is ....travel alone if you can first and invite them after you might have settled down or defer your admission until you are financially ready.

I dunno o...TominiyiE...this question is for you o!!! (Laffs)
But I sincerely believe that if the husband is not...then the case is already lost ab initio...with or without letter of consent, cuz one of the requirements for a child dependant is already being disregarded...or what do u think??
If you are the OP and we are arguing about letter of consent people will wonder what have you got to hide, why are u refusing to get that letter? It cost nothing, probably half a paragraph, so what is the prob?

Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by justwise(mod): 10:23am On Aug 29, 2012
penfold: @justwise,
For a Tier 4 (general) applicant, from the policy guidance, dependants are only allowed if
1.The course being studied is 12months or more OR
2.The main applicant is six months and the main applicant is being sponsored by ano official sponsor who has confirmed that they will be responsible for the maintenance inclusive of the dependants.

For a child dependant (under 18yrs) applying from outside the UK
1. The child must not have formed ano independent family unit.
2.Must have the intention of living with the applicant unless in a boarding school
3.The other parent MUST also be applying for leave to enter at the same time or already has leave to enter.
(All Paraphrasing mine)

Now, my point is this, does the provision of the letter of consent from the husband (which was not mentioned but which might have been implied) override the requirement that the husband must also be applying for leave to enter or should have had leave (which was explicitly mentioned) huh?
I believe that whether or not a letter of consent is provided by the husband, the compulsory requirements are:
1.Maintenance funds as you have rightly specified
2.The presence or intention of the other parent to be in the UK.

I believe all this is to ensure that the child is not denied of the right to family life for a whole year!!
Of course the other factors that u mentioned, costs, convenience, accommodation etc come into play but in my opinion, a letter of consent does not override the legal requirement of the immigration rules as par the other parent.
Is op's husband travelling with her?

Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part2 by justwise(mod): 8:42am On Aug 29, 2012
Donxavier: So she does need the letter of consent. You know I thought that too. But when Penfold challenged my assertion, I had to go all over to read family immigration to the uk and I couldn't find that specific wording there. There was nothing stating specifically a letter of consent just that she had to go with her husband or if she's the sole custodian of the child show documents to prove that.
In the end I had to agree with Penfold.
Do you where the Letter of Consent is specifically stated?
The case of traveling with a child without one of the parent's consent is a serious one, even if both parents are British and one wants to travel with a child under the age of 18, parental consent is needed, if she is the soul carer then court document will help prove that. The rule was not clearly stated in student visa rules which makes it difficult for some people but in application, the issue of bringing a child applies to anybody coming into the UK or leaving the UK

Last year a friend applied with her a yr old boy without a letter from the daddy supporting her taking the child to the UK for her studies, she was given but the child was refused because the ECO felt that there is no letter of support from the father because she indicated in her form that she is married.

She appealed and lost, the point is...why would you refuse to get a letter from your husband, partner, boyfriend etc if the child is truly yours and the father is awake of the idea of you taking him/her away?

Apart from that....the financial responsibly of coming with a child under the age of 18 is huge, her own maintenance money (£7200 or £9000) does not cover the child, she needs to show that she has about £1800 for the child , she needs a family oriented accommodation, nanny/family member who will be with the child while she is in school or work.

Donxavier: You are right. It doesn't apply for the Tier 4 general student, I think that's for the tourist's or so. My bad
She needs the letter of consent from the father to travel with the kid, the child belong to both of them.
