@justwise , Thanx again and i must tell you one Plain truth, You are the greatest failure Nigeria will ever produce. If your Father made you believed it is right to insult everybody that comes your way, then i want to make bold to inform you that you are destroyed already if you don't change. Even God said don't judge others so that you will never be judge. Why Judge the Guy when you don't know details of what happened there and don't even care to know. All you stand to do here is to accept the fact when someone call your country Names, My Guy you are doomed and only God can Help you, ooohhhhhhhhhhhh
Look at who is quoting bible and calling the name of God? God will punish you for sure.

This @justwise guy must really think he/she/It is the smartest in the world with all these ridiculous posts. Its Nigerians like you that piss me off that is even if you are a Nigerian. You make no mention of how disrespectful the white woman was when she was talking those boys who are fellow Nigerians. This case is deeper than that your fried brain can comprehend. There are multiple countries involved but because blacks are never respected, they will treat these boys like crap without caring about their rights. White people are never treated like that and that is why I kept using USA for an example.

You foolish Nigerians must be ignorant to think we started fraud or identity theft. These crimes have been going on for years and as usual the black man is made the scapegoat. Open you eyes and see what is going on in the world.

And earlier I asked which black country has a good image with white people and still have got no answer,
My only problem is that slave trade has been abolished. . you would have been sold off and will be replaced with a dog because you are completely useless.

If a black man like you stops stealing then you will have some respect, how many criminals like you are in Nigeria robbing banks and kidnapping innocent people? Shameless muppets like you always blame everybody else for your criminal activities apart from yourself.

How about working hard decently to make a living and stop sleeping online sending scam emails?

@justwise  and @ reindeer, Thank You for the Correction, But you are not better than them either, So stop Judging the Guys. If Your Country provided them with a Good Job why will they venture into Crime.
The more you post the more moronic you sound, so lack of job punished him into romance scam?

How about other jobless Nigerians who kept their hands clean? Whoever did this to you hates you.

Walala:
You must be the silly one.  When he collected the money, whose name did he use to receive the transfer funds?  So once again if I go to a dating site and create a fake name called John Doe and put any picture online, i have committed  a crime?
You are far too stupid to be taken seriously, so i will allow you to keep making fool of yourself.

Extortion (also called shakedown, outwresting, and exaction) is a criminal offence which occurs when a person unlawfully obtains either money, property or services from a person(s), entity, or institution, through coercion.

Would it have been extortion if it was really the American guy that asked her for money? He used his own credentials to collect the money so this is not a crime.  All dating sites must have a lot of criminals then since most people use other pictures that they find on the web.
Were you born stupid or is today your special day? Did that your thieving hero use his real identity to contact that woman?

First of all, can someone tell me what law this boys actions violated? With a good lawyer this case will be thrown away immediately, How can you say he committed crime when he asked a lover for money and she had no contract binding him to the loan he gave her? If this was the states, he will be giving probation at the most because everybody has a different identity on online dating sites. If I put a picture of Tyson Beckford to attract females online to date but I don't ask them for money, am I committing a crime? Is it only when I ask them for money that I have committed a crime?

Nigeria has bigger issues today than these young boys trying to make money, we are on America's terrorist watch list and the economy is on the brink of collapse and all of you are complaining about possible revenue into our society. Shame on You. I live abroad and can you please tell me of any black country that has a good image amongst white people or even any race of people other than black? We are seen as animals regardless so keep waiting for us to get a good image worldwide instead of striking these white devils at every chance you get.

BIDEMI you are my hero, i just wish you were a lil smarter to not be around the hotel.
You are just rambling, why not try and understand what identity theft means first before coming here to disgrace yourself? A criminal is your hero, good for you because that is all you deserve as a heron.

Justwise, you should be wiser in your analysis not just trying to start unnecessary exchange of words
You should be saying that to yourself, you think its not a big deal scamming foreigners as long as they are not robbing banks and shooting people?

I wish you the same thing those foreign victims got from Nigerian criminals. You should be happy for that and thank me.

If it affects you so much, the reasonable action for you to do is to highlight other Nigerians who are doing their bit to polish (and not tarnish) the so-called image of the country. I wonder why people are so passionate about the image of a country, and they forget that the image of a country is measured from the behaviour of the majority of it's citizens. I still maintain that a reasonable person cannot judge the image of a country from the actions of a few of it's citizens, except of course, you are trying to say that majority of the over 140 million Nigerians are scammers/potential scammers.
Yes majority of Nigerians and almost all her politicians are bunch of criminals , this includes their sympathisers,

Come-on now! this is not about how many Nigerians that are involved in crime, its about the effect the crime is having on everyone of us. 419ners/yahoo yahoo boys don't work around  with 419 or yahoo yahoo written on their foreheads but their actives go before everyone of us.

You can dismiss it all you like but the victims don't care if you are a decent Nigerians or not, we are all regarded as potential criminals.

Maybe you did not listen enough, He did not commit any crime against Malaysian except if he defraud their citizen, he is been deported in Nigeria to be free , that is how it is in Malaysia.  He was track down by Australian detectives to proof a case not by Malaysian police.
He committed a crime against Malaysian govt by abusing his host country.

No one is using being unique to Nigeria as an excuse here, what I am saying is that online scams is a crime no different from armed robbery, murder e.t.c, there is nothing unique about it that will makes it more despicable as compared to other crimes.

As far as I know, New York is described as the murder capital of the world, yet the average New Yorker is perceived to be a hard-working person. Nigeria is described as the online scam capital of the world, and the average Nigerian is viewed as a potential scammer. The faulty logic is so thick that we can cut it with a knife.
There is difference between crimes committed in Nigeria by Nigerians AND crimes committed by outside Nigeria by Nigerians.

Nigeria will not tolerate it if foreigners living in Nigeria are using Nigeria as their crime base tarnishing the image of home country. I don't care if every other countries are swimming in crime, i care about crimes committed by Nigerians because i'm a Nigerians and their activities affects me.

Reputation is what you make of it. Muslims have an unholy reputation of being terrorists/potential terrorists simply because of what we see/hear in the media, yet I dare say 99.9% of Muslims do not fit this stereotype. It is wrong to dignify online scams as a unique form of criminality, it still falls within the same bracket as other criminal acts like armed robbery, murder, e.t.c; and it is not unique to Nigeria either. I for one wonder why highly educated people will choose to judge individuals based on the so-called unholy reputation of the country they come from, that's not in any way different from judging people based on the colour of their skin.
Oh please don't give me that story line, not being unique to Nigerians is not an excuse, crime is crime. We can't keep saying. . . other countries commit crime too bla bla bla.

Thanks Justwise. Will let him know. I believe he can use the same letter he got from his school when he made his initial application? Please correct me if I'm wrong or will you recommend he gets a new letter for the extension/renewal?

Much appreciated
He needs to get another letter, with current date, reflecting his current situation, signed and stamped by his head of depart or course tutor.

why do people always judge issues from one angle only?

1.  You must be a very greedy person before you're dupped
2.  Nigerians are not the most corrupt people in the world. These things started in Europe and America, just that Nigerians are better in whatever you teach them
3.  Where is the moneyour politicians steal and take to EU, USA, etc? What happens to undiscovered funds Ibori and Alamiesiegha looted?
4.  I think its just a game, we are just showing ourselves pepper these days.
5.  They robbed us and still robbing us, boiz are stealing from them and everyone is shouting.
6.  Can someone explain the reason why American Embassy will hundreds of $$ for visas they know for sure that they will not give you. To make maters worse, they will not explain why they denied you visa and still, they will collect your money.
I can go on and on and on like that,
However, I am not celebrating what guys are doing, but let's look at it from another angle.
I will not call you an animal because that will an insult to animals. You are just worthless.

Ok, the tips are just guide and the questions/answers are also guide when preparing as many dont have idea of what questions will be asked. Also, i mentioned in the question/answer that applicants can also generate better answers to the question but i can assure you,70% of the questions i posted will be asked if not in a different way. Beside, applicants dont have to memorize as i have said, this might be the problem with applicant in an eager for visa approval. I dont recommend memorizing the answers but keep the questions in mind. I buy from your advive anyway.
I'm not in any way suggesting that all your tips are wrong, your tips on age and time of re-applying are the two issues here, a lot of things in ur tips are true and like you said. . .people should use it as a guild-line when preparing for an interview.

My brother stayed 3 months when he came visiting, even though he stated 3 weeks when he made his application,  My question is,

1) Is this a factor that could hinder his visa extension/renewal? His visa expires early January and he's looking at applying for a renewal/extension first week in February?

2) He's still a student, hope it wouldnt matter getting another letter from his Uni to support his application,  I'm thinking the ECO officer might be abit skeptical about it,  Just my thought

Please people in the house, kindly advise.

Thanks
Staying 3months instead of stated 2wks shouldn't necessarily be a problem as long as he did not over-stayed his visa and wasn't questioned when leaving the UK but he should be ready to explain to immigration why he stayed that long IF asked at POE.

As a student he needs a letter from his school and progress report as well
