Yes Justwise,
i have more ties to Nigeria more than the country where the usa visa was issued. Infact after my studies,i left the european country to the usa with a 2yr B1/B2 visa(my 2nd time of going there,) spent about 3months and flew straight to Nigeria where i spent the whole of last year staying. In addition to this,i worked in usa the 1st time i went there with a 6month work visa, ( so i have an expired social security number).

i do buy cars, computers and phones each time i come to usa ,infact i showed the border officers at the point of entry some of the receipts, and he stamped my passport and wrote B1( bizness class, even though i told him i was coming for visit and bizness).

I also have a landed property in Nigeria which i run with my mum, i feel i can provide bank statement of about 1.5m and about $5000, so pls whts your advice? (am single dont forget)

Also ,would i need an invitation letter too if i were to renew it?
                                                                                        thanks bro,
Ok, in that case renewing it in Nigeria is the better option, visa renewer is like first application, the only advantage now is that you have immigration history, you either use IV or make hotel reservation.

But in your own point of view, do you believe they will accept TOEFL for Supplement to the English that wasnt Credited in WAEC? Thanks.

More Contributions needed pls,
All you need to do is check the course requirements and see if English language is a core requirement or email the school for more info, some schools will take you but when you get there a bridge-up English language class will be added to your course, you will do the language class for a semester or so.

Please why do you think a father would never want to invite his daughter to UK, having heard that he does claim the child in the UK
You mean his claimed previously that the child is in the UK and now want to invite somebody from Nigeria as his child?

Hello All,

I'd like to use this medium to really commend everybody that has contributed to shedding light on peoples' dark areas on this forum. You guys are really doing great and I'd appreciate if some light is shed on an issue for me as well.

My wife intends to spend her vacation in the UK with our 6 month old boy come April.

The issue here is that both my wife and I have valid visas to the Uk having been there on vacation couple of times, but my boy doesn't.

My question now is, what documents will be required for his own visa application and how do we go about it (ie} can we apply for him alone as an individual?

Your responses will be highly appreciated.

The
His birth certificate is important, a letter of consent (Very important) from you, marriage certificate, family pictures, evidence of accommodation arrangement suitable for a child and the mother, financial evidence that will meet the cost of the trip. List of places they will be visiting in the UK.

Does your child own a passport? If yes then your wife should attach a photocopy of her visa and data page to the application package.

Hi everyone,

Am currently in usa on a B1/B2 tourist,Business visa.It expires in the next couple of months. i actually got the visa while i was a student back in Europe. Now am thinking of going back to nigeria ,lagos to be precise for a renewal.(before it expires) This is actually my 3rd time in America and am single ,

Pls am asking for your advise, what are my chances? I have heard how ruthless the American embassy is in lagos,

Do i go back home and renew it or do i go for "shola shola"(arrange myself ) here?
Do you have more tie to Nigeria than the European country where you were issued the visa?

Open your eyes before it is too late. Cap28 is warning of the future. Africans will be like the aboriginals and Native Americans if we don't wake up. Cap28 is waking people up and you are putting him down.

We need to stop praying to god and solve the problems. These protests are a great start. After we get a competent government our economy will grow. Hopefully other African nations can do it too.
You sound as if you are living in stone-age, you don't sound like somebody who has the mind of his own. Very deluded and out of touch with reality.
My idea may not be the best. The OP is trying to re-thread the fabric of his supposed cumulative career path to relate with all his previous document sitting with UK embassy and also maintain a rail of his previous immigration history and supporting document and obviously his current career choice would call for some deep explanations as we have seen various refusal on this type of applications. Its like someone that studied yoruba and trying to switch to hausa, of course if you are already abroad, its never gonna be a problem as we have what they call spinning in the UK, but treating your application whilst you are still on the Nigerian soil is a kind of NO NO.
Now back to my idea, given that no immigration law was broken in your last visit and no irregularities in your bio-data and other doc, i would suggest you meet your agent to prepare another letter of retrenchment or downsizing by your company and on that premise, write a letter of intent (a beautiful one, hinging your spinning on the retrenchment and your inability to secure a job ever since and your resolution to add to your career another marketable course and synchronize both to make you more employable. trust me the ECO will be looking at your previous docs, because when i went for my permanent residence interview, before me was documentation i applied with for my masters program and also a copy of my appeal letter, because i got my visa on appeal.
I know there are several ways you could follow with little or no risk impact, and bros make sure you get complete copies of your first application and don't try to change anything. If you claimed you were married with kids, pls maintain your story, if you claimed you worked with shell, stay on their pipeline.
I leave the rest for my able experts
Whatever he wants to do he will be asked to return to his home country and apply for student visa. He can't convert visiting visa to student visa in the UK.

I said it is complicated because I know you may not understand. BH was established in 2001/02 . It started the violence activities in 2009 that peaks in 2011. Police tipped them into becoming what we know them for today. Now it has become a political weapon in the hands of PDP politicians.
Police did NOT tip them to become what they are today, Boko Haram was established to become mass-killers, their mission is to turn Nigeria to a muslim country and get rid of western education, so don't give me that police story line because its just nonsense.

Bad roads affect everyone directly or indirectly - why have you not organised your family to protest?
Highy Infant mortality affects everyone directly or indirectly - why have you not organised your family to protest?

An issue has to evoke enough feelings in a sizeable number of people in a geographical location to result in widespread protests! duh

You are just a waste of space, so the killing of more than 20 church worshippers, thousands of ordinary Nigerians in the north is not enough to evoke public feelings? But when it comes to money many of you felt that Nigeria need to be saved from GoodLuck Jonathan? What is the value of life?

BH has been around for a long time ago. It is made up of young people that misunderstood the basic teaching of their religion. Attempt at correcting the group's leader was being thwarted by his lack of courage to go back to his members and inform them how wrong they were. However, they lived among the people in harmony until when Nigeria police laid hand on them in uncivilized manner for offense not committed.
The first spark started by the police then lead to a chain of reactions that we are still witnessing today. If you would recollect after the popular massacre of its members by police they entered into oblivion only to reemerge. Why did it take them almost a year to come back?
BH claimed it was avenging its leader death by killing the police at initial stage, later graduated to attacking government , then claiming to be fighting in the course of Islam now segregating the northern from southern part.
Yes, BH palaver is a product of social injustice that is now being used by some people in PDP as political weapon. You may not agree with me on this because it is complicated.
Of course i disagree with you, Boko Haram started the killings before the police reacted, you are just giving excuses for Boko Haram.

That said. My question is: Why did we not organise protest against Boko Haram as they went ahead killing both Christains and Muslims?

They started killing before the fuel subsidy issue started, why did it take Nigerians this short time to organise the protest and ignore Boko Haram atrocities?
Politics › Re: 2 Protesters Shot Dead By Police In Kano? by justwise(m): 1:34pm On Jan 09, 2012

It is either your are being awkward or straight out dumb. There are so many things you can accuse Nigerians of not protesting against. Armed Robbery, poverty, corruption. In fact there are enough things to protest about that protests could be organised each day (366) of this year protesting something different each day.

Like someone earlier explained to you. The fuel subsidy removal is something that affects every single Nigerian hence the large turnout and widespread participation. If you can get this into your tick skull, I think you know the tallest building in Nigeria. Go there, take a lift to the topmost floor and you know what to do,
I mean you are a complete moron, i don't need insignificant cretins like you to insult me for asking a legitimate question, so in your own fat brain the killings by Boko Haram doesn't affect everybody directly or indirectly?

Brain dead muppets like you should not be allowed to use Internet.

short answer - people are selfish

gej got this spectacularly wrong for a simple reason - the fuel subsidy affects EVERYBODY  outside of govt. rich/poor ; animist/ xtian/muslim;, yoruba, io, hausa, edo, ijaw whoever ; north south, east west.

practically anything else in this country can be slanted with ethnocentrism, religious intolerance - but this has united everybody

hopefully the momentum will carry and we will start on the senators and gej's bloated cabinet next

the man's halfassed stunt  has made EVERYBODY  more politically aware. in my house, the tv is actually tuned to channels.
Muslims did not die in UN building bombing in Abuja or many killed in the north? Why are christains in other part of Nigeria not protesting about Christains killed in the north?

This fuel subsidy is not affecting everybody because there are many Nigerians who can afford it.

Why did Nigerians not organise this type of protest against Boko Haram?

Boko Haram is a product of social injustice committed to a group of people and we all see the result. Fuel subsidy removal is a social injustice committed to all Nigerians and the results would be grievous and widespread that the land would be too unsafe to live in.
Can you explain more on that because you lost me there.

One thing that got me thinking now is this: Why are people protecting about fuel subsidy and not the killings carried out by Boko Haram? Why are the Northerners especially  coming out to protest openly for fuel subsidy and kept quiet about the activities of Boko Haram?

Dear Justwise, i have a question.

I completed my Msc program in 2011 june and visa expired in August. By November, i wanted to go for a one week short course in Uk and applied for a student visitor visa, since they said that is what is required. They gave me a 6 MONTHS MULTIPLE ENTRY for the 1 week course. The student visitor visa is expiring in April. I went for the course and came back after one week. My Msc graduation is in March. Since this was multiple entry can i use the visa to go for the graduation or i need to apply for an ordinary visitor visa.
Sure you can.
