Please keep the issue of corruption out of this, yes its wrong for Nigeria embassy to ask for bribe but SA police has no single right to invade any foreign embassy, whoever gave the go-ahead order to that operation should be clearing his or her office now for a long time leave without pay.

Its unheard of, its criminal, it violates international law, this is worst than what happened  to UK embassy in Iran.

This is wrong in many ways, SA police got no right what so ever to invade Nigerian embassy, even if they asked for bribe, its completely wrong for a foreign embassy to be attacked.

SA have the duty to protect foreign embassies in SA.

I don't think you read my previous reply to you. You need to calculate how much the trip will cost you by looking at things like cost of flight ticket, accommodation in the UK, feeding and transport while in the UK then you will know whether 820k will be enough AND don't try to forge any document, the BHC has more than enough forged documents submitted by Nigerians to compare with.

You need to submit proper tax clearance certificate that will show what your business worth and help the ECO to process your application. Submitting land property is ok as long as its issued by appropriate authority.

I need your attention, i need to know the minimum amount one can have in his/her account before applying for visa? Beside that, is it compulsory to summit your business account statement and your personal bank account when applying? Lastly my tax clearance certificate is self assessment payment, i paid 18k will that not be problem or should i top the amount? i do supply from a ware house.

The amount you should have will depend on how much the trip will cost you, you need to consider the cost of flight, accommodation, feeding in the UK, transport in the UK, and how long you plan to stay AND you must have enough left to fall back at when you get back to Nigeria.

You can submit both the business account and the personal account to show how much you have in both accounts but the money in your personal account should be enough to finance the trip and not your business account

Why not use proper tax assessment system? Using self assessment can not be the same as the govt tax assessment system.

My advice to you is: Do not do it, coming to the UK to study without the whole school fees and maintenance fees is risky, the school will require you to pay up the remaining fees at registration or by June since your course is starting Feb. And if caught using boosted account then its 10yrs ban.

Any foreign company based in Nigeria would use a US or other country bank account to approve his/her paypal and it's completely legal, there are many Nigerian online sellers already accepting paypal there in Nigeria.

Nigeria is not the only country merchants do not sell to. If it was for fraud then no shipments will go to countries like Russia or Ukrain, or India. A merchant can choose to sell to few countries, infact many US businesses do not sell outside of the USA.

Are you struggling to read or comprehend? Paypal did not encourage any Nigerian business to link their account to banks in US or UK, that was what i said, its legal for countries encouraged by Paypal, not Nigeria.

I hope Nigerians will not abuse that route as well else US banks will cut off Nigerians routing their accounts through US.

2. It's not illegal for you to link US bank account to your paypal,[b] infact paypal encourage you to open a US bank account to link with your paypal account if you are in some countries. [/b]I have opened paypal for my sister in Uniport and another in Lagos and both of them use it freely.

3. Paypal do not exempt Nigeria because of fraud. There are many countries not allowed by paypal and it's not because of fraud. It's because the banking system of those countries are not modern/ready for online transactions or government of those countries do not approve of them. [/b]South Africa was once approved and disapproved again by the government, I don't know the latest.

4. I have rendered services to people from all over the world!. Nigerians don't even use my service because they can't afford online payment.

Yes the rate maybe higher in USA and the rate of conviction is higher too, tracing and arresting the suspect will be much much easier compared to Nigeria. Ebay gain more from USA businesses do their business on Ebay  than Nigeria, so they have to weigh their options.

Our bad reputation is not only on Ebay, other businesses are taking the same harsh measures. Ebay/Paypal will see a backlash from Ebay customers who have suffered in the hands of Nigerian criminals if Paypal re-admit Nigeria with the way things are at the moment.

All you need is open a bank account in US or Canada or UK. Then link the account with your paypal and get paypal verified, and the sky is your limit!.
