abeg make person hear word, i have sent money twice to a friend leaving in uk. i agree its not easy over there but neither is it easy here in naija. i get to pay tax(trust me heavy tax), bills on generator, car repairs due to bad roads, kids sch fees, nannys salary, extended family etc.) some pple over there are simply paranoid and have this preconceived notion that people over here are lofers(sp, ?) and call to demand for money. pls get over urselves!

his bday is march7 his sisters bday is april 4 and d anniversary is march28. the 4weeks cover these 3occasions. hence d 4weeks. shouls he send a new IV saying he wants me to come for the above 3. plus my BIL clearly stated he will be resposible for all expenses.

There is no negative consequence for reapplying, yes he can send a new IV, those 3 occassions u mentioned are important to you and i understand that but i don't think its strong enough reason to be issued a visa as a student.

On the positive side,you may reapply and another ECO sees it from ur own point of view.

My college is asking us new students to provide the bank account statement we used for our visa application, of which the bank statement was not given back to me by the British high commision, they're really stressing it, and saying things like if we don't provide it within 2 weeks, we might be sent back to our different country, isn't that weird?? they didn't inform us before we leave Nigeria, and now they're making fool of themselves, they said it's the new requirment of the UKBA and we should contact our bank to print another for us if we didn't come with it, and I've transffered the money to my mum's account because she owns largest percentage of it. Well. . .the school haven't done anything wrong really, have u paid all your fees? Remember that one of the student visa requirements is that  the student should have ALL the money (school fees and maintance fees), and during your visa application u have convinced the BHC that u have all the money, so providing that bank statement shouldn't be a prob IF u have the money.
But i think other colleges are not doing the same, your school has been in trouble with Border Agency b4 for  giving admission letter to fake students, so the pressure is on them now to make sure that every foreign student is real.
You need to have a chat with your school, tell them that 2wks is not enough to get a post from Nigeria, ask them for sometimes for your mum to send u the bank statement.

What's there to question, your statements clearly stated if I didn't have any use for the ticket, I didn't have to utilise it, I basically didn't want answers along that line, my excitement made me post as I received the notification yesternight, thinking about this at work today, decisions were made. The documents u submitted are good but you are not financially resposnsible for this trip, ur brother in-law is and the ECO is not convinced that that money will be available to you after the visa is issued.
Another important issue here is ur tie to Nigeria, if u are ready to spend 4wks in the UK celebrating ur rela/ship with ur fiance, how about ur studies?
Do you think that the ECO is convinced that ur brother in-law is going to send u to the UK for 4wks, with that fat bank balance for the reason u stated there? like i said b4, u 'may' win the appeal but it will take ages. re-applying again maybe good idea but the outcome is anybody's guess.

3)close family ties in Nigeria[/b]4)parent personal and economic circumstances (my parent are divorced i stay wiv my mum)
5)relationship with sponsor(my brother in law is my sponsor)
pls advise

The highlited parts are where i think the prob lies, the ECO is not convince that u have enough tie to Nigeria, basically the ECO is not convinced that u will return to Nigeria if given a visa to the UK, you not married, u don't have a job , you depend financially on ur brother in-law.

You 'may' win the case if u appealed but it will take more than 2months. [b]Vicjustice will add more when he logs on, he knows far more than i do in this area.

Thanks justwise. I've picked out like 2 days in each month from my call history that indicated my calls to my wife's number and sent it down to her. Also included a few of our chats in yahoo (about 10 pages) and a few pictures we snapped with family during our wedding, though we didn't really have a reception (distance/culture) so the pictures aren't those official 'couples in a reception' photos. She will hopefully reapply again tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes.

Please can u list the documents u submitted for the visa application?

Its alway difficult to get a visa as a student, how much was in the bank account u submitted? Did u submit a letter from ur school and ur last result? Are u on school holiday?
