I previously studied in the UK 9years ago but overstayed for 27days and left by myself.

Now I want to apply for a student visa again, should I mention it in the application and will it have an impact on the outcome?.

While filling application, I choose no dependant is coming with me to the UK, Visa has been approved, if I want to apply for my family, do they still qualify for the tier 4 or they'll have to go through the normal visiting visa? If I can apply for tier 4 for them, please advice on steps to take.

My 6months + pregnant wife and I will be travelling to the UK in 2weeks time,she will be studying while I'm her dependant. Hope there won't be issues with airlines and finding accommodation as regards the pregnancy?
Pls any useful tips for us in this regards will be highly appreciated.

What you don't know try to learn.... Read about history of crimea ... All this Russian invasion is a hoax by western media. Russia does this all year it's not the first or last... They just want to draw the world attention and they will end up negotiating and Nord stream 2 will be approved.... And all is settled... Russia is doing same thing usa did when Russia tried to put it weapon in Cuba... Usa went berserk and negotiated now usa is pushing Ukraine so they join NATO so usa can out weapons that can cause problem for Russia.. but at the end the media makes Russia look like the bad guy... I'm using a UK bank account from Halifax Bank, with a balance of over 17K GBP. I got cas with the same account, my tuition deposit was paid from the same account. The first money lodged into the account was lodged on the 30th of Sep. Last transaction was on Dec 14th, when my deposit was paid.

My question is, I'm looking to apply for visa this week, is it okay if I print from Dec 6th to Jan 3rd? Or does it matter if I print from Sep 30th that £15K was first paid into the account? It's my parents acct.

Also, is it mandatory that It's signed and stamped? It was printed electronically and it shows bank logo, acct number, address, date printed, balance and transaction charts.

Is it that you are jealous that Ukraine is better than Nigeria, Do you know that Ukraine Citizens enjoy Visa Free travel to the Sheghen Zone, Do you know that Ukraine has one of the best Medical Studies in the world, Do you know the Number of International students that troop to Ukraine for studies every year, Just mention one area that Nigeria compares to Ukraine, even in sports Ukraine is miles ahead of Nigeria.

You keep talking of Russia invasion since 2014, but we haven't heard that hundreds of kids were abducted from secondary schools, we haven't heard of bomb explotions in Markets, Hospitals, Motor parks, Schools etc, nor have we heard of mass killings of villagers just like in Borno, Benue, Katsina, Zamfara, Sokoto, Kaduna, Imo etc, nor high profile assassination of Army generals, politicians, religious leaders.

Common man, deep inside you know that Ukraine is miles ahead of Nigeria..

My point is.. don’t just waste money leaving Nigeria to a country that has little or nothing to offer you. Nobody leaves Nigeria because of good road and steady power supply, you can get that in Abuja and many other cities in Nigeria, you leave to a country that offers you a better chance in life, earn decent living without doing illegal jobs, friendly immigration policies etc

Ukraine will not even allow foreign students to work legally. Many Nigerians living there are desperate to move to another country.

Lastly I think it’s madness to pay $$$$$ for so called visa guarantee even when you are not sure of getting that visa .

Crimea is majority Russian speakers and they conducted referendum and decided to join Russia, this is just about the west and Russia war games and it's been long this happened as for the Donbass area is just Russia causing unrest there so that Ukraine won't join NATO as NATO states that they won't accept a country that has internal security issues... Aside that other parts of Ukraine are doing good no issue.. business is going well.. dont use it to judge beside they don't do suicide bombing or kidnap like boko Haram and bandits...so it's a wrong comparison with Nigerian situation.

My sister came in US on a tourist visa in 2012. She was already 32 weeks of pregnant. I guess the consulate officer or the authorities in US airport did not notice her pregnancy since it was hard to tell by simply looking at her that she was pregnant. Going further, she gave birth in US and also applied for Medicaid program to get health insurance to cover the medical expanses and doctor’s visits. Furthermore, after giving birth, she also had a Medicaid Health insurance covered by the US government for up to 12 months for monitoring her post pregnancy health and cover the medical expanses for pediatrics. But again it was in 2012, moreover, she never violated the terms of her non immigrant visa meaning she departed the US before the expiration of her I-94 card. In other words, after departing the US in 2013, she’s planing to come back this year since now US consulates have began processing requests for non immigrant visas. We also found out that she does not have any outstanding balance with the hospital or doctor. Everything is paid off by her Medicaid health insurance. Can my sister apply again for a tourist visa? Will she have problems at the consulate for applying to Medicaid and giving birth in the United States? It has been more than 10 years since last time she was in US. Her baby is now 10 years old. Do you think the information about Medicaid and health insurance still remains on the system?

If you have been fully vaccinated for over 14days and you still tested positive to covid 19,you can still travel provided you can provide evidence that you have been fully vaccinated but you must isolate for 10days at your accommodation and still take pcr test upon arrival within 2days and also 8th day pcr test is required.... Pls who know the best time I can go for re-test to be negative. Pls I kindly seek your advise. Cam my retest turn negative immediately after the sixth day? Or when is the best time for me to go for a retest. Thank you.

Are you traveling anytime soon? if not then go for retest after 10days

Sincerely I dont know, I feel we don't have a snitch sha but if we have please for the sake of easing Migration for future lawful applicants we should stop and we might also have Some paid snitchers here too so Nairalanders should watch what they post on Nairaland even up to pictures of mail and other sensitive stuffs that we post, let's help ourselves please, sometimes I wish Nigeria serves us better we wont all be desperate to leave the country.May God grant us the future that we all dream of.

Just allow those that want to travel to go, I did it and I got my visa.

You think UKVI is foolish knowing fully well that you are super- rich and have your full money in your POF but are still giving students 20 hours to work per week and sustain yourself?
You think the UK universities are not wise enough by asking payment in installment even after showing them evidence of having the full money in your account before leaving Nigeria?
If they didn't know the money is arranged, they would have been sending the POF directly to your universities to pay for your tuition fees and then be blocking your POF for monthly sustenance before granting your visa.

I think I can appreciate where both of you are coming from.

In my own view the UK is well aware that to a large extent applicants from Africa may be using "arranged funds" . Less than 1% of Ngr have N500k or more in their acct ( https://www.vanguardngr.com/2021/10/just-in-99-4-of-bank-accounts-contain-less-than-n500000-ndic/ ). Move the scale to 4-5m required for typical pof and you can easily tell its a major problem. The story isnt peculiar to Ngr, across sub saharan africa there is deeply entrenched poverty that is driving this migration. I honestly dont think the UK authorities are not ware of this. Same way they give scholarships with a condition that students return home to their country to develop it (but we know how that goes)

That being said though, I think the onus is on those asking the question to be smart about it. If your pof gets depleted, you really dont need to notify us that it is an "arranged fund" knowing this is clearly against the rule. You can state your issue without mentioning irrelevant details that will only serve to possibly implicate you or cause issues for others after you. Its simply "dont ask dont tell"

I recall when Nigeria was put on the "quarantine-in-a-hotel list" and some people here started discussing how to bypass it openly. Within a few days, they entirely stopped visa processing for many applicants. I am not necessarily drawing a connection, but we cannt dismiss that these illegalities discussed openly also filter to them and make life more difficult for others, because no responsible country wants its rules being made a public joke of.

You can do it in private and they let it slip, but once it become a public issue, they are driven to take action and that is where I quite agree with justwise.
